Overall, Oyova has been a great partner. The only area for improvement would be around maintaining tighter alignment across multiple active projects...especially as new features and timelines overlap. That said, they’re always open to feedback and quick to adjust processes when needed, which has made collaboration easy and productive.

I’m the manager of marketing and training at Longeviti Neuro Solutions, a medical device manufacturer. I used to be an ICU nurse. Now, we make cranial implants that can be scanned with ultrasound post-operatively. I oversee the website project and train our sales representatives as they come on board.

We wanted to refresh our website with updated branding and more videos. We also needed to update our plug-ins. We had a total rebrand in 2021 with a different company, and certain plug-ins weren’t working, so we were looking for a new partner.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Oyova has been in charge of our website refresh project. The team has handled the backend work and redesigned certain pages, including a patient page with videos and articles, a healthcare provider page, and a testimonials page. They've also added new content and pictures.

It's worth noting that, initially, we wanted to add more videos because a lot of our content consists of implant ultrasounds. Oyova has done so by utilizing videos on the homepage, the surgeon page, and the patient page. We didn’t want the site to have a login wall; we wanted users to immediately see everything.

Throughout the engagement, Oyova has sent us the designs using Figma. We have made comments and changed photos. Once we approve the final designs for the Figma pages, the team has developed them on WordPress for us. They have also provided maintenance services.

We mainly work with two project managers and 2–3 designers.

How did you come to work with Oyova?

It was word of mouth. Our COO knew the owner and put me in touch with him.  We worked with them on a small project last year where we needed the plug-ins updated on the website, and they were great to work with. So, we decided to work with Oyova again for this project.

We have worked together since around March 2024, and the project is still ongoing.

We have just finished the project. Overall, Oyova has improved the functionality and graphics of the website, and we're happy with how the website came out. We feel like using videos can truly make people understand what we do. We’re going to keep them on board for a couple of months because we have a couple more updates we want to make. 

How did Oyova perform from a project management standpoint?

They have been wonderful about meeting deadlines and staying on budget. In fact, Oyova is good at keeping us on track and letting us know what they need back to stay on schedule. We typically communicate through email and Zoom. Overall, they are super responsive.

Their ability to hear what we want and bring our vision to life is impressive. Oyova has designed above and beyond what we wanted and has taken it to another level. It has been a good experience.

No, we like the project management team, and there's nothing they can improve on. We’d definitely use them again.

Oyova has given Christian Leadership Alliance (CLA) an incredible new digital expression and brand. Oyova led the way for CLA to complete the most comprehensive rebranding project in its 50-year history. 

The Oyova team brought home what had been a 3-year discovery journey. It started with a group from Dallas that conducted qualitative and quantitative research to develop a new brand arc. Then they took the first run and created the new logo and the updated brand guidelines. We hired a second firm to focus on user experience, and they submitted a preliminary recommendation for the site map that would create the best experience for our members and non-members. At that point, we were seeking an agency that was integration savvy, could build on existing work, and create a genuinely new brand for the organization. We needed a maestro-level agency to complete the journey.

After seven agency interviews, we were convinced Oyova was up to the challenge. The experience was exceptional and highly collaborative. I was impressed with how they masterfully interpreted the foundational findings and integrated them in a way that brought new life to the brand and enhanced the entire online experience of CLA. Additionally, they combined three separate sites into one, enabling us to continue tracking user experience and more accurately understand performance analytics. We now look forward to working with Oyova to keep our brand fresh and advance other digital initiatives.

And, if there was a delay on something, Beth was great about communicating to me what they still might need from me, and if something was going to need to take a bit longer than expected. They were great about waiting for me to get them materials, and I never felt pressured that I was taking too long to do that. AND, while waiting for me at times, they still kept me on a timeline to help get the project completed on time! 
Along the way, I added a couple ideas that we didn't talk about initially, and they were great about implementing them and helping me understand how things worked logistically. They delivered a beautiful website to me in a timely manner.

Because this was all so new to me, and I'm a solo business owner, Beth and her team had to guide me at times about some of the more technical things. They were great about explaining terminology that was new to me, so that I understood what they were doing every step of the way!

We had a complicated contract because of unexpected additional funding that became available to our organization, so we were able to add features to the website and app that weren't in the original contract. At times the Oyova tech personnel seemed to forget about the expanded contract, and we had to remind them that we had paid for the additional work we were requesting (not a problem, but awkward at times). It all worked out, but I would suggest that whenever any new tech members join an Oyova project, Oyova can bring them up to speed on the possibly changing scope of work.

1. Site Architecture: Oyova took over our project and helped develop a WordPress-based team member intranet site following best practices in UX/UI design to ensure usability, accessibility, and efficient navigation. 
2. Single Sign-On (SSO) Integration: Their team implemented SSO to provide users with a seamless, secure login experience across various associated platforms. 
3. iFrame Integration: They also embed our LMS iFrame within the intranet site to enable the hosting of team member training materials. While also ensuring the iFrame content is mobile-responsive, accessible, and provides an intuitive user experience. 
4. API Integration: They developed and integrated necessary APIs to ensure data sharing and interoperability with other relevant software platforms for streamlined operations. 
5. Advanced Automated Reporting: They are currently working on building out functionalities for automated generation of detailed reports based on user activity, training progress, and other relevant metrics. Reports will be exportable and able to be scheduled at various intervals. 
6. Security: They implemented strong security measures to protect our website from potential threats. This includes securing the login process, ensuring data privacy, and regular security updates and patches. 
7. Testing and Debugging: They have and continue to perform rigorous testing across different stages of the project to ensure all elements function as expected. They also debug any issues that arise during the testing phase. 
8. Site Maintenance and Support: Post-launch, they provided ongoing technical support, performance monitoring, and periodic updates to maintain optimum functionality and relevance of the intranet site. 
9. Documentation: They are very detailed and provide comprehensive documentation detailing the architecture of the site, codebase, implemented functionalities, and usage instructions for end-users and administrators. They track all hours used.

The measurable outcomes from the project included the successful launch of the fully operational team member intranet site on WordPress with an embedded iFrame for training, enabling increased team member engagement and knowledge acquisition. 

In addition, the implementation of Single Sign-On (SSO) improved the user experience and security, while the integration of an Application Programming Interface (API) allowed seamless interaction with other systems. The advanced automated reporting provided comprehensive insights into user behavior, participation rates, and the effectiveness of the training, thus contributing to data-driven decision-making and ongoing improvements.

I provided a functional specification describing the functionality I wanted in the application. We reviewed it and decided which pieces we would use to create an MVP. We moved the other items into future enhancement releases. As of this writing, we are still working on version 2 items. Deliverables included a functioning MVP, hosting services, and payment/subscription services.

Primarily the functioning MVP and payment systems.

Beth has done, and continues to do, a fantastic job as my project manager! Usually same-day or next-day responses to my concerns/questions. Turn-around time on bug fixes is a day or two, and enhancements are very timely as well.

In our initial exploratory virtual meetings, I was impressed with the professionalism of the staff, as well as the breadth and depth of technical knowledge that was available among them.
