Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

We worked across three main projects so far. One was an enterprise-level back-end framework, built with Nodejs and Graphql, that served as the groundwork for multiple applications used by tens of teams. The second one was a Windows Nodejs service that linked multiple desktop applications to a shared REST API back-end service. And the third one was a custom-made e-commerce platform, built to connect brands with end users in an affiliate business relationship.

We delivered planned functionalities and services to our end users as planned.

There are multiple traits I admire about their team and leaders, but one thing that stands out the most is the transparent communication at the business level.

Can’t think of any problem that needs to be addressed. Their leaders are always improving all aspects of their services.

We provide embedded services for a large pallet of industries. My role is to develop the company by accessing new industries and services related to embedded.

We wanted to create mobile apps for our intelligent home product.

How did you select this vendor?

Actually one of our competitors mentioned working with them at a conference and that gathered my attention. We started out with a relatively modest scope of work to better understand their capabilities, but once we saw how skilled they were we ramped up into more development work.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

Oves developed native mobile apps for us and also provided QA services. Additionally, Oves helped us with elements of our website. Oves team made the website more dynamic.

Our team provided the internal design and development, but they helped augment some of the capabilities. Their team helped us put our roughly sketched ideas into wireframes and understand what technology was necessary to make the wireframe functional. We went through lots of iterative concepts before they ever began coding.

The team consisted of 1 iOS app developer, 1 Android developer and 1 QA automation

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

As we are IOT specialists, we needed some partner to deliver state of the art apps and let us focus on our expertise. They bring all of the skills to the table. If we had to go hire all of these functions, it would never work. Working with Oves provided us with a level of flexibility.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Project management is one of the areas Oves is outstanding in. Their communication is excellent. In general, they over-deliver on timelines and costs. Oves consistently exceeds our expectations.

Their whole team is very responsive and works to maintain strong client relationships. It can be hard to find resources and partners that live up to what they promise, but Oves always does.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Oves is flexible and able to scale up and down dynamically. At times, we’ve had heavy development pushes where we needed to get a lot done quickly and they always adapt to those needs.

We’ve also had times where we go into more of a maintenance mode. They’re always responsive to our questions, even when it’s on something the team isn’t actively working on at the time.

They did a great job, they felt like part our team.

I’m a digital marketing analyst at an ad firm.

What challenge were you trying to address with Oves Enterprise?

We didn’t have enough team to assist our clients with e-commerce needs. Someone suggested we look to an outside firm like Oves Enterprise to find front- and backend developers to assist with the e-commerce solutions.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They worked on the e-commerce site. It was in Magento. They worked to help add more content, make changes to the site, and rework it.

What is the team composition?

We worked with one consultant who was our Magento point person. We also had two frontend developers and two backend developers.

How did you come to work with Oves Enterprise?

Someone on our developer team recommended them when we were too busy to handle all the work ourselves.

How much have you invested with them?

It was more than £50,000 (approximately $61,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from February–November 2015.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Their team was quite highly-skilled. When we had to get work done quickly, they could deliver. They worked hard. We had to wrap things up quickly because we had our own clients, and they succeeded.

How did Oves Enterprise perform from a project management standpoint?

We didn’t have any issues. They submitted weekly reports and were communicative on calls. We were consistently aligned.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re incredibly hard-working and have excellent technical skills.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We had some cultural differences initially as well as some communication challenges. But, they quickly adapted to our needs.

Make sure you’re very clear about your desired outcome in the beginning.
