we provide equipment to oil and gas, power, and other markets. I manage the Indirect Heater product line.

Market study for a potential product line addition.

What were your goals for this project?

We needed to understand the size of the market and different segments along with the major players including both customers and competitors. Market trend data was also important for us to understand.

How did you select this vendor?

We looked at companies used previously while employed elsewhere and compared credentials and costs. Our team was impressed with the past employment experience in a highly technical field of the team.

Some initial research and data collection was done by our company and provided. This gave a good kick-start to the project and helped bring them up to speed on the technology.

What was the team composition?

We primarily worked the Senior Research Associate assigned the project but were aware that another associate was working on the project as well. Both attended the majority of the meetings.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

After the initial study was complete we added to the scope to get additional interviews which were very helpful.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

I have nothing but praise for the way the project was handled by Tuoyo and the team. Communication was steady and updates were provided frequently and included weekly phone calls and emails when appropriate. Chunks of valuable information was shared to show progress and get the information in our hands prior to final assembled which was appreciated.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The equipment being researched was fairly technical and OTERI and the group had no issues understanding the concepts presented. Additionally, they were tasked with conducting interviews with a large number of people. They showed the resolve to be persistent and get quality interviews and transcribe them for our use. The study exceeded our expectations and came at a good value.

Are there any areas for improvement?

The final presentation should be done in person. We expected someone to visit our office rather than have a remote presentation that had some technical glitches and was not as professional as the rest of the project.

They crafted a strategic road map that I can use to start and grow my business. They helped me understand the potential market size, how to reach customers, what my competitors are doing, and how I can get ahead of the competition. They also helped us craft a business plan to attract investors.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We’re currently in our 14th month in business. We’ve begun to be profitable thanks to the strategy plan delivered by Oteri Consulting Group. We don't have any investors yet, but we’re confident about our prospects because they developed a solid plan.

Their team is very effective. They suggested weekly updates to keep us abreast of all the information they gathered. This enabled us give our input, and ensured that the final strategy was tailored to our needs.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The quality of their input is impressive. Their responsiveness and approach to solving our business challenge makes them stand out.

Are there any areas for improvement?

They’re a small team. I’d like to see them grow so that they have more people to conduct customer interviews. The potential customer interview process could have taken less time if they had more people on staff.
