I’m the owner of a digital marketing agency. We create all things digital, including apps, digital marketing campaigns, graphics, logos, and branding. We also help businesses go from inception to market by developing a digital strategy for them.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Optimus Marketing?

We needed help with a digital marketing campaign for a law firm specializing in elder law and estate planning. The law firm has had many other marketers helping with campaigns, but they needed someone to target them to a more relevant audience.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Optimus Marketing helps one of our clients with Google Ads. Each campaign is limited to a particular budget, and they have to drive as much traffic as they can. First, they provide some initial keyword research targeting a certain age demographic using Google Analytics. Using that, they then create ad copy using specific keywords. Additionally, they provide insight into the UI/UX of the landing pages we’ve created for the client.

What is the team composition?

We work with two teammates: the owner, who manages the project, and an assistant who helps with graphic design and monitors the ads.

How did you come to work with Optimus Marketing?

I found them through mutual clients who referred Optimus Marketing to us. They’d been in business for over 20 years, so they had some solid referrals.

How much have you invested with them?

We spend about $25,000 a year.

What is the status of this engagement?

The engagement started in November 2018 and is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The team has been able to get a significant amount of high-quality, relevant traffic, which has turned into leads for our client. Consequently, it allowed our client to improve their response times because they don’t have to screen too many irrelevant calls. Overall, it’s helped our client get better leads.

How did Optimus Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?

Optimus Marketing has done a fantastic job of managing the project. They’re good at scheduling weekly or monthly calls as needed and frequently updating us on any changes. Communication has been a critical component of our relationship. The team is excellent at simplifying technical terms to make them understandable, too. We primarily use Zoom and email to communicate, but we also use phone calls, text messaging, and Skype. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Optimus Marketing’s experience is truly impressive. They’ve been in the industry for 20 years, and the owner has worked for Facebook and Google, so they understand both platforms from an internal standpoint. Furthermore, their understanding of web analytics and the client’s needs has been valuable. They’ve been able to balance the two aspects better than anyone I’ve ever met.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could collect more data, so we have more tracking points and metrics. However, the client’s been super happy.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Give the team a shot by giving them access to your current efforts and allowing them to put together a strategic plan. Their experience will shine through in their suggestions. Additionally, go on a Zoom call with them so you can see their passion and expertise.
