The scope of work for Optimal-Websites was to redesign and develop a new website for LotsofMuzik, my online music magazine. The project involved a complete overhaul of the website's design and structure to improve its functionality, user experience, and visual appeal. Optimal-Websites started by conducting a thorough analysis of my old website to identify areas of improvement.

They then worked with me to define the new website's goals and objectives, as well as to determine the target audience and desired user experience. The new website included a more modern and responsive design that was optimized for both desktop and mobile devices. Optimal-Websites also improved the website's navigation, making it easier for users to find and access content.

Their project management was excellent and played a critical role in the success of the project. They provided a detailed project plan that outlined the timeline and milestones, which was regularly updated to ensure we stayed on track. (I tend to go off-track easily) The web manager communicated clearly and proactively, keeping me informed of progress and any issues that arose (not many, but still).

Additionally, the team (logo designer, web designer, and project manager) consistently delivered in a timely manner and I am really glad I found them.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Man, the team was on point! I loved how they took the time to really understand my needs and vision for the new website. They were able to take my ideas and turn them into an awesome website that looks great and works even better. The communication was top-notch too, always keeping me in the loop and making sure I was happy with the progress. I gotta say, I was really impressed with their attention to detail and how they went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Optimal-Websites could have done differently?

Honestly, the whole team did an amazing job with the project. I'm really happy with the new website and all the improvements they made. If there were any areas for improvement, it would be minor things like some text formatting issues, but those were quickly resolved. Overall, I don't think there was anything major that could have been done differently - the team really went above and beyond to deliver a high-quality website that met my needs and exceeded my expectations.

Our film production company needed to expand our reach to compete with platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Tubi and Hulu. I hired Optimal-Websites with this purpose in mind. They developed an awesome platform for me so that I can compete sharing my content with the world.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

After launching the streaming site we had an 80% increase in traffic resulting in potential subscribers. Our landing page drew rave reviews.

Their project manager communicated directly with me and kept the line of communication open. I was informed and updated on a continuous basis about the process and progress of the site.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Our site was professional and easy to maintain. It was also a breeze to update the site.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Initially after the site was launched there where a few bugs that needed to be fixed. Optimal did just that, fixed the bugs and I am pleased.

I’m the founder of a Christian ministry platform.

What challenge were you trying to address with Optimal-Websites?

Initially, I wanted them to update my platform. I ended up looking at their portfolio of work and decided to ask them to do a complete revamp.

What was the scope of their involvement?

I came in with a motto for my website and links of sample websites that I wanted it to look like. I had 3–4 years’ worth of content from previous sites that I wanted to include. Then, we discussed content, themes, color, and design. They built it on WordPress and included an e-commerce component, a video library connected with YouTube, and a section for online classes.

What is the team composition?

I worked with 2–3 people from their team.

How did you come to work with Optimal-Websites?

I found them on LinkedIn. I researched their portfolio of work and saw how their website functioned. I thought that what they offered was more unique than other websites, which is what I wanted; I didn’t want something cookie cutter.

They told me a lot about the future of where websites were heading. When I researched what they told me, I found it to be true. I decided to work with them because they were proactive and up front.

How much have you invested with them?

I spent $1,850.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in November 2020. We went live in February 2020, and we’re currently in a 30-day testing period. There hasn’t been a lot to update.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

I did a post on Facebook asking people to take a look at the website. Five people ended up taking a look and they liked the functionality and the colors. They also picked up on the emotional content like I was hoping they would.

How did Optimal-Websites perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re very responsive and used several tools to connect when we were mocking up the website. I liked that much better than calling. They were very efficient about using widgets. The team was receptive, available, and open to suggestions.

They were very good with project management. It seemed like they were a very close team. We communicated Zoom, phone, and email. If I emailed and asked something, I’d get a response in the same day, or even a few minutes later. The longest I’ve had to wait was half a day. I liked how they had an explainer video that I could learn how to use the website from. I appreciated that, since it saved a lot of time.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’ve had a lot of people ask if they could do my website. In one case, I gave a vendor a smaller project to do and was not impressed with the outcome. I’d say the majority of webmasters I’ve used are more about getting the job done and made my site look just like everyone else’s.

I took a chance on Optimal-Websites and they haven’t disappointed me. It’s a pleasant surprise. I like how the site looks just as good on my phone as it does on a desktop. It all looks really good and I have no complaints. I’ll be using them for other projects in the future.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, they were open and receptive. They gave me really good feedback every step of the way.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I’d refer them to anyone who needs a website. My advice is to come up with a couple of samples of the type of website you’re working towards. They give a vision of where you’re going to be in five years.
