The scope of work focused on building a multilingual wellness web platform using a premium Next.js template as the technical foundation. Onix Systems handled the setup and customization of the template, frontend and backend development, CMS integration, and overall technical architecture based on a headless approach with Next.js. 

The project followed an iterative development model. An initial version of the platform was deployed quickly, after which visual adjustments, functional refinements, and structural improvements were implemented step bysze by step based on feedback. This approach allowed early validation of flows while continuously improving performance, usability, and maintainability. 

Key deliverables included a fully functional multilingual website, customized template components, integrated content management, and a scalable codebase designed for future feature expansion and long term growth. Onix also provided technical consulting, architectural guidance, and ongoing support throughout the development process.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project resulted in a fully functional multilingual web platform built on Next.js, ready for production use and further scaling.

We achieved a significantly faster time to launch by using a template based approach while still reaching a high level of customization in design and functionality.

The final codebase is clean, well structured, and maintainable, allowing new features and pages to be added efficiently without rework.

Page performance, stability, and overall usability met our expectations, and the platform is now technically prepared for SEO growth, traffic scaling, and long term development.

The collaboration also reduced technical risk by establishing a solid architecture and clear development standards from the beginning.

Project management was well organized and transparent throughout the entire collaboration. We worked with Roman as our project manager, and he did a great job coordinating the team, keeping everything structured, and ensuring clear communication at all times.

Timelines were clearly communicated, and deliverables were generally provided on time or adjusted proactively when additional clarification or feedback was needed. The team responded quickly to questions and requests, explained technical topics clearly, and proposed practical solutions when challenges arose.

Overall, the project was handled reliably and professionally, with a strong focus on understanding our needs and delivering accordingly.

What impressed us most was the level of customization and flexibility Onix Systems offered, even while working with a template based approach. The team adapted the solution very precisely to our specific needs instead of forcing us into a rigid structure.

Roman, our project manager, stood out with extremely fast, proactive, and clear communication, which made the collaboration smooth and efficient. The developers delivered high quality work with a strong focus on clean code, stability, and scalability.

In addition, the price performance ratio was exceptionally good. The overall quality of work, communication, and technical expertise clearly exceeded our expectations for the investment made.

Honestly, we do not see any significant areas for improvement. We were very open throughout the project and always encouraged feedback or adjustments whenever needed.

Any changes or new requests were implemented extremely quickly and with a high level of quality, often exceeding our expectations. Communication was proactive, and potential issues were addressed before they became problems.

From our perspective, the collaboration ran very smoothly, and we cannot point to anything that Onix Systems should have done differently.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Unfortunately, our experience with Onix Systems was deeply disappointing and frustrating. We entrusted them with developing our application, but the engagement fell short in nearly every critical aspect. Core stability goals were never met, the product was riddled with issues, and even basic functionalities were either broken or unreliable. Developers frequently lacked the technical expertise needed, and key requirements were misunderstood or ignored entirely. The project never reached a point where we could confidently deploy the product as expected:

1. Unmet Stability Goals:
From the start, our application suffered from serious stability issues. The product consistently failed to meet our basic performance and reliability benchmarks, leading to frequent crashes and poor user experience. These shortcomings ultimately forced us to transition the project to another team altogether.

2. Language & Communication Barriers:
One of the most persistent challenges was the language barrier. Communication was unclear and often led to misunderstandings, delays, and rework. This made it incredibly difficult to align expectations, provide feedback, and receive timely updates on progress.

3. Lack of Qualified Developers:
The developers assigned to our project did not possess the level of expertise required. We were assured of senior-level talent, but the reality was far different. The few competent engineers we did work with were abruptly removed from our project and reassigned elsewhere.

4. Dishonesty and Unprofessional Conduct:
Perhaps the most concerning issue was the dishonesty we encountered. We were misled about the availability of key team members — told they were on extended leave, only to later discover they had been moved to other projects. This pattern of dishonesty was not a one-off; it became a regular obstacle that made collaboration stressful and unreliable.

Final Thoughts
Working with a partner requires trust, transparency, and technical reliability — all of which were severely lacking in our experience with Onix Systems. We would strongly caution others against engaging with this firm based on our experience.

Our experience with Onix Systems was unfortunately very poor, marked by instability, miscommunication, and unprofessional conduct. Despite initial promises and positive first impressions, the engagement failed to meet our expectations on several critical fronts. One important feature was under development for over three months with no progress updates — only to later be delayed by another six months because the developer did not understand the requirements and failed to raise any concerns. This level of delay and lack of ownership was unacceptable. The time lost, quality issues, and need to switch to another team significantly offset any cost savings. In retrospect, we would have preferred to pay more for a competent, reliable team rather than try to recover from the setbacks this engagement caused:

 
1. Project Management & Delivery:
Project management was one of the weakest aspects of the engagement. Deliverables were rarely, if ever, provided on time. One particularly crucial functionality was under development for over three months, only to be further delayed by another six months. The root cause? The developer assigned didn’t understand the requirements and failed to communicate this at any point during the initial work. This complete lack of transparency and proactive problem-solving severely hindered progress.

Communication overall was poor and inconsistent. The team lacked ownership and accountability, often needing repeated follow-ups to get updates or clarification. There was no urgency or process to escalate and resolve blockers, leaving us constantly in the dark and behind schedule.

2. Technical Execution:
Stability goals were a core requirement — and almost none of them were met. The product was plagued with bugs and unpredictable performance. Instead of improving, issues would often compound due to ineffective fixes and misaligned priorities.

3. Team Composition & Misrepresentation:
We were promised experienced, senior developers but were assigned individuals who clearly lacked the required expertise. Worse, the few skilled developers we did encounter were abruptly pulled from our project and reassigned elsewhere. The project manager falsely claimed they were on “extended leave,” which we later found out was untrue. This type of dishonesty made collaboration extremely difficult.

4. Communication & Trust:
Working with Onix Systems became a constant struggle. Beyond language barriers, there was a deeper issue of frequent miscommunication, missed expectations, and blatant dishonesty. Trust quickly eroded, and it became impossible to work efficiently under such circumstances.

 
Final Recommendation
Onix Systems may present themselves as capable and experienced, but in our case, they failed to deliver both in terms of product and professionalism. We do not recommend working with this company, especially if your project requires clear communication, timely delivery, and integrity.

The project suffered from severe delays, poor communication, unmet technical standards, and a lack of transparency from the team. Misleading updates and dishonest conduct from the project manager eroded trust entirely. We had to switch teams midway through the project, which cost us significant time and resources. Based on this, we cannot recommend them to others. Communication was inconsistent, developers were frequently reshuffled, and dishonesty from the project manager — including misrepresenting staff availability — made collaboration impossible. We ultimately had to abandon the engagement and move the entire project elsewhere. We do not recommend them.

We needed to develop a VR project for an end client specializing in air filtering systems. They required a product presentation for a launch that was yet to happen.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Onix-Systems provided design and development services for a VR project. We had an initial meeting to discuss the project's outlines and expectations. We also sent them a reference film we found online, and they sent us some other reference material back.

Onix-Systems created a VR environment that allowed users to experience being inside a clean air filter system. The team produced 60 seconds of 360-degree animation for a two-minute video. The final product was used for one-on-one presentations with potential end customers at a trade fair.

Onix-Systems exceeded our expectations. The VR experience was so realistic that some users found it too convincing. The team did an excellent job, and their final product helped our salespeople tell the story about the product that was going to be brought to market.

I advise having additional initial calls to clarify the project's outlines. In our case, this was Onix-Systems' first time, in many ways, working on such a project, and it was also our first collaboration with them. A few more calls at the start could have streamlined the process.
