I’m the CEO of Singularika, a software development company that works with progressively evolving technology. We’re experienced in AI, voice and image recognition, ITR, text-to-speech, natural language understanding, systems integration, and machine learning.

For what projects/services did your company hire OneTeam?

We needed someone to develop the frontend of an AI chatbot we were developing for one of our clients.

What were your goals for this project?

The tool would help people find new professional opportunities and help companies find candidates that complemented their mission and culture.

How did you select this vendor?

When I was looking for a partner, I met Ivan (Founder, OneTeam) at a business event, and he told me about his team. A few weeks later, we decided to cooperate.

Can you go into detail about the services they provided and the scope of the project?

They developed the frontend of the chatbot using the latest version of Angular. They showed good understanding and excellent attention to detail during the design stage. We even changed parts of our UI because of the advice they gave.

What was the team composition?

We worked with a project manager, a backend developer, and a frontend developer.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

We launched our MVP, which has helped us learn more about the current job market and obtain our first customers.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

We worked on two-week long tasks and had status meetings every Friday. They joined us on Skype calls once or twice a week, but we were free to set up further meetings if we had important questions/issues.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They know what they’re doing and are good at it. Their experience is extensive.

Are there any areas where they can improve?

People can always improve, but I can’t think of any weaknesses OneTeam displayed. I'd definitely recommend them as good developers.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I am the owner of an online store called Duvet. We sell textiles, especially bed linens.

What challenge were you trying to address with OneTeam?

We wanted to develop on an online store for sales in Ukraine. Our goal was to make ordering our goods convenient and fast from any region of the country.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They designed and developed the website. For design, they used technologies like Adobe Photoshop. For programming, they used HTML5, CSS3 [cascading style sheets], jQuery, SaaS [software-as-a-service], Gulp.js, PHP, Laravel, and MySQL.

The online store is in the initial stage of development. There is no payment system at the moment, but we will implement one in the future. We still need to select vendors for goods and load the store content. Later, we’ll work on advertising and SEO.

What is the team dynamic?

One designer and one developer were allocated to this project. I'm working on the project alone.

How did you come to work with OneTeam?

I saw their advertising on the internet and found them at the freelancing exchange. They have a good reputation and good reviews for their work there. They made me an acceptable offer, so I went with them.

How much have you invested with them?

The project has cost less than $10,000 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project began May 15, 2017. The relationship is still ongoing, as we plan to add more functionality in the near future.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

From a qualitative perspective, the deliverable works well. They took all my wishes into account and fulfilled them.

My business from the site has not been affected in a measurable way yet. There’s still a large volume of work to do before we see results.

How did OneTeam perform from a project management standpoint?

I did not have a project manager; only the designer and programmer worked on this project. We talked by phone and email, and we met in person at their office.

Their communication was very good, and they answered all of my questions. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They are good developers and very talented people. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Nothing is ideal, and if I look back at the project, there are things we could’ve done better. We’ll make improvements in the future, of course. Overall, I think they handled the task well.

OneTeam was hired to continue development of the project where previous two teams failed to deliver.

What were your goals for this project?

The goals were to fix bugs in current release and provide an updated release with new functionality.

How did you select this vendor?

We selected them using an online bidding site.

Describe the project in detail.

The project is a custom web-based app that calculates load per axle on trucks that carry liquid goods such as fuels, oil, etc. The project is written in AngularJS (version 1) and hosted on Google Platform (Firebase). 

The biggest technical challenge was that the project was started by the first team of developers two years ago, then it was taken over by a second team, then by the third one. OneTeam is actually the fourth team that is working on the application. Because of this, there is a number of legacy bugs and code errors,  as well as a mix of coding styles.We had to do a lot of cleaning up and it is still ongoing.

A project manager and one or two developers work on my project at a time.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The functionality that has been added version 2 of the project has helped the customer to streamline using the software. The bugs that were fixed helped in overall user satisfaction.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The communication is excellent.  We mainly speak through email and Skype.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I am most impressed with the quality of their work and response time. I’m pleased with the work they are doing and hoping to keep working with them until this project is complete.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I think that the invoicing process at the end of the job needs to be improved.

The project was completed earlier than expected, which really impressed me. Everything was done with top-level quality.

I think they could expand their services a bit.

We found this vendor on Upwork. They had nice responses and a good portfolio.

They developed an Angular dashboard template, wrote documentation for the product, and supported the website.

The team had two Angular developers and a manager.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The project improved sales and raised profits. We plan to order a few more themes from them.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Their project management was nice. The team complied with deadlines and communicated delays ahead of time. We communicated using Skype and Trello.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We asked OneTeam to develop a theme that generated sales, and the results exceeded our expectations. They did everything on time and fulfilled all the technical requirements.

I’m the co-founder of a company that developed a web browser for developing countries.

We needed to develop extensions for a browser.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We placed an ad on different sites and out of 50 proposals, 10 were selected. We gave 3 vendors a test job and OneTeam solved it.

Describe the project in detail.

We developed a web browser for developing countries and have built-in extensions that help our users, eliminating the need to download other extensions. With the browser, they can download videos from websites and use Proxy to access LinkedIn and such.

What was the team composition?

We work with 2 programmers of theirs.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

OneTeam developed a Proxy extension, a screenshot functionality, and WhatsApp for Chedot Browser. They also helped with other extensions.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

It was all okay.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

What’s most impressive about them is their price. They also have a great knowledge of programming languages. They develop very quickly, completing tasks in less time than the average programmer.

Are there any areas for improvement?

They’re sometimes redundant when they focus too much on finding the perfect solution even for simple tasks.
