I was one of the four founders of the company, and I was in charge of the business-plan implementation. Our company was involved in hedge funds and asset management, and we had two products: Astra Token and Astra Mine. OneATM helped us identify our target audience. They handled the discovery phase, performance and social media marketing strategies, campaigns roadmap, roadmap corrections, community management, and so on. They also had deep integration with our internal infrastructure, including our developers and financial staff. However, we handled branding and logo design internally.

We worked with 8–9 people from OneATM, and we worked with them at different times. They provided us with an overall marketing strategy lead, a business analyst, two performance managers, 2–3 social media managers, a project manager, and a designer.

We couldn’t trust websites, so we asked for recommendations from our circle. In the end, our manager looked at OneATM’s Clutch profile, and we requested their case studies and met them. Overall, we received a lot of competitive proposals, but we didn’t consider hiring another agency.

How much have you invested with them?

We had two projects with OneATM, and we spent a total of $55,000–$60,000. Our first project was $20,000, and our second project was $30,000–$35,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our partnership ran from January 2018–March 2019. We gradually stopped working with them and sold the company during the last months of our engagement.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We had a long-term partnership with OneATM, and we worked together as one company. Our metrics were concrete and precise. We gathered feedback from Facebook and Twitter communities, the latter being the main social network for the cryptocurrency world. 

With OneATM’s support, we saw a massive increase in engagement. Our conversion rate was also around 30%, which was considered quite high for the cryptocurrency world. At that time, the normal rate was 10%. We also knew that was influenced by the cryptocurrency peak. Nonetheless, it was a great experience.

In addition, our end users' investment increased from 0.5% to 4%–5%. As a result, they invested more than $10,000 dollars on the platform.

We used Trello in the beginning, and we switched to Asana. We wanted a lot within a short period of time, so there were many challenges when it came to deadlines. We weren’t the perfect customer for OneATM, but they were able to hit 70% of the deadlines we had — a high number for the marketing industry. We also had many dependencies and the market was changing dramatically. As a result, we had to react accordingly.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their flexibility and ability to understand our needs impressed us the most. Our industry was still new in 2018, so we often had changing requirements and challenges. Despite our needs not being specific and not easy to implement, we felt confident that OneATM met our needs. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

There would always be room for improvement. On our side, we could’ve provided better briefings and metrics of what we wanted to achieve. We changed our goals along the way, which was not professional. On OneATM’s side, they could’ve had more human resources tackling our project because they struggled at times.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Ensure that OneATM has enough human resources before starting the engagement. I recommend listening to their marketing strategies because they can share interesting ideas that you haven’t implemented before — they’ve been capable of doing that during our partnership.

We've seen a 96% increase in organic results from this time last year. We’ve also seen a huge improvement on the paid search side. New-user acquisition costs have fallen by 20% compared to those of a previous agency we worked with. In addition, our keyword rankings are up across the board. Organic traffic is also building at a nice pace and website engagement is much higher than it was.

We have weekly meetings where they share what tasks were executed that week, how test performed, and action items for the following week. They work in weekly sprints and analyze KPIs every month.

Our account manager is always available for questions, and I’ve never had an issue connecting with anyone over there. They’re good at outlining our team’s responsibility versus their team’s responsibility.

What impresses you about the OneATM?

We were blown away by how thorough and detailed their onboarding packet was. They performed a full audit of our web presence and paid search operations and inspected everything we were doing online in the first 30 days. They provided extremely detailed, actionable strategies to implement both short- and long-term strategies.

Are there any areas for improvement?

They love what they do, and their passion for SEO is evident in all their communications, but they seem to forget at times that clients may not be as well versed in these subjects as they are. I often have to ask them to slow down during our weekly calls.
