To build from scratch, a fully functional website that is identical to eventbrite. I required additional features to customize it for my liking, but like Eventbrite, it needed to process financial transactions, strong search features, and a solid UI/UX.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I selected this vendor based on the technical skill set I needed for this project. I did some searching online, and found this organization, and decided to reach out to them.

Because the magnitude of the project was large, it had to be broken down in multiple phases. The team initially took my requirements, assessed them, and gave me a presentation describing the various milestones, tasks, and deliverables, as well as the related costs. The technologies used were:

I had honestly one primary point of contact, who was the project manager, and a secondary point of contact who is the CTO, and cofounder. However, there were others working behind the scenes on this project as developers and testers.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

As of right now, the site is quite impressive in terms of it's look and feel. The project is still in progress, but it is coming together quite nicely. The search features are working very well, along with the UI to display, and create events.

We primarily communicated with one another via WhatsApp, and email. This was very convenient, because the feedback I received was often times within minutes, if not sooner. As for timelines, Odiseo always delivered on their projected targets. I don't recall a single instance where they missed their target date.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I found multiple things extremely impressive about them:

1. Very quick response time to my questions. They were very accessible, and able to communicate with me without any language barrier.
2. They were not typical consultants in that they simply worked like robots doing as they were told. Yes the customer is always right, but rather than acting like "yes men", they acted like fellow executives sitting on my board, and advised me what would be best for my project. They genuinely were interested in my best interests, and almost every time, I took their suggestion when they gave it. They were not just strong in their technical skills, but strong in their business analytical skills.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

A project of this magnitude was very new to me, so I honestly don't have anything to compare it to. I don't have any areas of suggestion, in fairness. What I can say is that whenever I had discovered a problem, or a bug, they were very quick to address it.

I really wasn't sure what to expect at first when I started working with this company, but I am very pleasantly surprised with the outcome thus far. Their quality has been superb, and their price is quite reasonable compared to the competition.

We have hired Odiseo for our own e-commerce platform for the past 9 years. They have helped us better our tech stack over the years as well as contributing to better the UI/UX of our website.

We had first hand experience working with the founder in a tech startup in Buenos Aires over a decade ago. He was one of the lead developers and I always saw how well he performed and the quality of his work.

After founding my own company we worked with some other suppliers until getting back in touch with Diego from Odiseo. He did an analysis of our ecommece platform and we started working together ever since.
