I led the Skype account team at a consumer PR agency tasked with celebrating Skype’s 10th birthday.

I had met Brian Wallace 4-5 years earlier at SXSW and had always been looking for the right project to partner with him and his team at NowSourcing. This seemed like a perfect opportunity.

We spent a number of weeks iterating on the concept, then began developing the concept and sourcing some of the unique stories and data points before getting into the creative effort to design the infographic artwork.

The infographic ended up getting posted on the Skype blog, being shared and published by numerous media outlets around the globe (e.g., Mashable, Disruptive Telephony and more).

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The NowSourcing team was incredibly responsive and works very collaboratively. We were able to review the drafts and make edits/changes very quickly.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their approach to developing infographics is incredibly collaborative, creative, thorough, and impressive. Plus, their help in getting the infographic shared on the social web is an extra value add for a brand.

TruPet, LLC was the parent company of TruDog Pet Food. The company sold holistic freeze-dried dog food to discerning consumers who want to do better for their pets. I was the Director of Marketing Communications and oversaw the owned, earned, and paid media activities for the brand.

What were your goals for this project?

The two main goals for the project was to drive brand awareness and traffic back to the website from a domain authority building perspective and ultimately lead generation activities that would grow business revenue.

Founder and CEO of NowSourcing was an online connection that has become a friend. There are other companies that do infographics, but not to the quality that NowSourcing provides.

Brian and the Nowsourcing team have their project management process down to a science because they focus on the infographic and media relations niche. The team took care of everything from strategy, development, execution, and reporting.

The NowSourcing team was composed of a project manager, lead research specialist, graphic designer, and media relations expert.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We saw a significant increase in traffic and new purchases and more importantly email captures to continue to increase the LTV metric. Our social media engagement and reach increase 5X over the average baseline Month Over Month.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

As the project manager for this project, the workflow was fairly straightforward. I was the main point of contact for getting the information NowSourcing needed to take the ball and run with it.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The thing I like about Brian and his team is that they were flexible and adaptable, within reason, after the campaign had gone live and our lawyers wanted to make changes.

The team was always timely in making changes even when it was past their scope. I would recommend NowSourcing to any marketing executive looking to use infographics and media relations to increase their share of voice in the marketplace.

How did you select this vendor?

If you Google or search anything related to infographics you're bound to come across Brian and the NowSourcing team, it's inevitable. I also read through some of their tremendous case studies and was sold. You get what you pay for and it's worth the investment. Obviously, we are extremely happy.

Describe the project in detail.

The infographic project included providing pre-selected data to the NowSourcing team and letting them work their magic. They helped us identify deficiencies and all the while expediting a quick turnaround. It was a major learning process on our end and they made it as easy as possible -- and didn't make me feel bad for not having all the answers.

There were five people involved in this project and it went almost seamlessly -- nothing that a quick Zoom couldn't fix to get us all on the same page.

What challenges were you trying to address with NowSourcing, Inc.?

Consumers aren’t easily able to track the data collected about them, and they aren’t fairly compensated for their data being used in market research. We wanted to address issues regarding peoples’ understanding of consumer data and their rights as consumers.

We wanted to be able to consolidate information regarding the difference between cryptocurrency and blockchain. We hired NowSourcing to create an infographic explaining how blockchain works within different industries.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We looked at areas where there seemed to be confusion about how blockchain works. We provided them with data and actionable information points based on our interviews with consumers and people in different industries. 

After they developed the infographic, they helped us distribute it and get it published in several industry journals.

I believe we worked together in the spring of 2018. The engagement lasted about a month.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

This was the best investment I made for the entire year. They do terrific work. It’s well worth the cost. 

How did NowSourcing, Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

They provided ongoing review of documentation. I used their review tool, and they would provide updates within 24–72 hours. They were fast, focused, and very accurate. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They were able to distill complex information across multiple industries in a way that made it easily understandable. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I didn’t see anything that didn’t align with my requests or needs. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers? 

A lot of the time, people come in with an idea of what they want their solution to look like. However, NowSourcing helped us refine our focus on the problem we wanted to solve. I think that was a really helpful way of approaching this project, so I would say it’s beneficial for other customers to come in with that mindset.

We needed visual representation of a survey recently done with our community. The results were insightful but in text format there wasn't a strong way to communicate the impact. We needed a great visual communication to show the information clearly but also to give a good understanding on our social media channels.

Project was done one time and delivered our desirable result, a clear and effective visual representation of the survey results and of the entire movement.

The professionalism, the quality of the design and clarity that was communicated in the infographic they delivered.

I was the director of operations and online marketing. We were an online insurance aggregator that ran and operated several insurance properties across the internet.

What challenge were you trying to address with NowSourcing, Inc.?

We were trying to get name recognition and notoriety out about our properties to drive awareness and market penetration from the standpoint of understanding insurance and breaking it down for the users. We wanted to give them statistics to understand what options they had for themselves.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

NowSourcing, Inc. developed several infographics and marketing campaigns for us. They designed and developed and researched different topics about insurance ranging from auto insurance to life insurance, predominately auto insurance in nature.

After that, the team did outreach campaigns to bring awareness to the infographics for our business. They reached out to different publications and campaigns of various sizes.

What is the team composition?

We worked with Brian (Founder) and two project managers. We didn’t have direct contact with the designers and research analysts. In total, maybe we worked with six.

How did you come to work with NowSourcing, Inc.?

They were referred to us by other individuals. After several conversations with Brian, we realized that we found a provider that we could work with.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent somewhere between $15,000–$30,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our projects ran from 2013–2017. Each marketing campaign ran for about 90 days.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

NowSourcing, Inc. was very successful. They brought a lot of awareness to our products and services. We were driving from incremental traffic during the marketing campaigns from anywhere from an additional 5,000–10,000 visitors any given week.

The campaigns were published around day 30–45, and they would run another 45 days with that marketing outreach. During the periods of awareness, we would see an increase in traffic, and then it would slowly taper off like with standard marketing campaigns.

They would drive back up again as we run new programs and campaigns. We probably ran through four or five different campaigns during that time.

How did NowSourcing, Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

Their team was professional, organized, and diligent on communication. They let us know about the research and the confines of the marketing ideas. There was a lot of collaborative work between what they were providing and what we were looking for as an organization. Their team did a very good job of keeping us well on track for what we wanted to accomplish.  

What did you find most impressive about them?

What makes them stand out is their attention to detail. NowSourcing, Inc. is willing to make sure campaigns are successful. When they realized a campaign wasn’t successful, they would do right by it looking at either running additional campaigns or improving the original one.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think it’s necessarily an improvement, but the ideation process is always difficult. It’s on both parties to be collaborative and work together during this process.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Do your due diligence and market research to understand who you’re working with. Understand the program and products you’re trying to run in totality. Sometimes a lot of young companies trying to do market research don’t understand the scope they need.

While you might get something pretty, it might not be the scale you’re looking for. NowSourcing, Inc. does a good job of making campaigns scalable and actionable.

To raise brand awareness and to educate the market around the way in which email data can be used to optimise business performance in Sales and Customer Success and Key Account Management.

We were introduced by a business who had worked with Brian already.

The scope of work was to develop and design a compelling infographic, and then to promote the infographic. Infographic design took approx 4 weeks and then it was promoted to the media - with fantastic pick - for a further 6 weeks.

The team was approx 3 to 5 people. Very solid team and worked very efficiently.

The domain authority of our website picked up significantly as did traffic. As a result we have been able to partner on further content projects with high quality sites and companies.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Very. Brian's team use a team collaboration tool. No hiccups at all and no crossed wires.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The quality of the content pulled to create the infographic, to tell a story, and then to be able to place the infographic so extensively.

No. Everything worked well the first time around. It is clear that Brian's team has worked on hundreds of similar projects and know exactly what they're doing.

I’m the director of business development, handling marketing strategy, development channel partnerships, and sales initiatives for the company. We’re a fairly young startup in the nursing home market. We help our clients with analytics services, empowering them to understand their organizations better.

We needed a marketing expert to assist us in gaining additional traction for our services. I’ve been working in sales and marketing within the nursing home field for years, and I’ve been searching for a master at this craft.

He created infographics that were on a whole new level of quality. Within that effort, he does market research to determine what will best engage our audience. Then, he uses journalistic and press relationships to disseminate the graphics into the marketplace for media attention.

He over delivered on all of our initial estimates and expectations. They understood the company well and knew exactly what they would need to deliver assets successfully. He was confident that he could get decent coverage on the website. We ended up with 50–60 sites covering our services.

I appreciated that he was able to live up to the high standard he set form himself at the start of the project. We received the marketing attention that we wanted.

He managed our expectations clearly and well. Each week, he provided us with flawless updates on areas for improvement and progress. All the while, he was motivating and pushing us outside of the purview of our agreement.

He was willing to take on a mentorship role, making suggestions on how we could learn and grow as a company. We communicated through email, WhatsApp, and Zoom.

He’s a master at his craft and has developed a reliable, successful process that can be replicated across industries.

We were trying to correctly allocate our funds for marketing. The goals were to analyze and visualize the data we had in our database for recruitment marketing purposes and use that information to come up with action plans, KPIs, and key areas for budgeting.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We embarked on a project creating infographics. We supplied NowSourcing with data from our databases, social platforms, and digital platforms. They then dissected and analyzed the information, asked key questions, and turned their findings into infographics. Specifically, they created 18 pages in 8.5-by-11 landscape sheets stored as PDFs.

The project started in November 2019 and lasted about 60–90 days.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

NowSourcing conveyed the data in a precise, concise, spectacular way. We received great feedback from our executive team because the presentations were pristine. NowSourcing asked the right questions to get to the crux of the problems we wanted to solve. That was the expertise and intuition that we needed.

How did NowSourcing, Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

They performed very well. We had shifts in our organization leadership meetings, and they were able to work in a timely fashion to meet our deadlines.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I appreciate their intuitiveness and superior insights around the infographics. NowSourcing was able to find parallels and ask very good questions that weren’t obvious on a surface level.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We exchanged everything via email, but I think a different delivery system to send and open files, like Dropbox, would be more helpful. That’s a more nitpicky complaint, though.

Any advice for potential customers?

Check out NowSourcing and give them a shot. They have some of the best insights I’ve seen in the infographic world. They have good expertise and knowledge in the area.
