NovumLogic developed an end-to-end solution that enabled regulatory data submitted by commercial fishermen to be accessed via API, processed and provided as a seafood traceability report. Consumers are able to access this information using desktop or mobile web interfaces.

NovumLogic managed all aspects of the technology project including the design and development of the LAMP solution. NovumLogic established and maintained the solution using the AWS platform.

We had regular contact with two technical leaders from NovumLogic who were supported by design, development and ops teams.

The development project was very successful. NovumLogic provided a solution that was highly cost-effective.

We had regular project status meetings using Skype. This was supported by written project status reports. We used Jira for tracking progress.

Rushank used his experience to dramatically improve the functionality and usability of the initial project concept.

Our company was and is dependent on software and website. We had serious problems with our system. So we hired Novumlogic to redevelop or I can say develop everything from scratch to make it robust and scalable.

What were your goals for this project?

Scalable product - we, with Novumlogic developed Androind and iOS application also. Extremely easy user experience Show graphical reports and quick results that can help us to get more fleets under our system.

How did you select this vendor?

They sent me an email with the services they provide along with their company profile. I got interested in we started communication through email initially. I asked them to make one listener for my device to get surety of their work. It was perfect and here we are working on version 2.

Project began with one listener for one of our GPS tracking devices. Later they developed different listeners, Android and iOS mobile apps, web application(with user friendly dashboard) For each and every part, they have delivered in proper flow : Wireframes, mockup, designing and development. They also helped me to have separate servers for staging and production environment.

Project team has about 8 people, 5 of them are working on my system whereas 3 would come and go depending on the skills needed. That being said, we have a stable project manager who is our direct and permanent point of contact. They followed agile process to quickly build and test different version of desired solution.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Customer acquisition time is reduced and thus increased our user base. Time to be given to support our clients is also reduces due to easy and working system. Our system became very smooth and we could concentrate on business development.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

It was very well managed. They have given access to jira and we could monitor progress from there only. With weekly reporting we had clear idea about product stage. Communication and support was impressive.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They are thorough professionals, very responsive, supportive and proactive. Passion they have for our product, really impressed me. They think and develop keeping our clients in mind. Their suggestion helped us immensely to be ahead of our competitors.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The product they made is a SaaS web service. It was built in Java, HTML, and other languages. They built the site from scratch, and the design evolved as the process went along. There are nice interactive features with drag-and-drop, but it’s nothing groundbreaking from a technology point of view.

We gave them a model of what we wanted the site to look like, and they made the backend. They also have worked on the frontend as the months went on.

I worked with two people from their end: the company owner and a coding manager. They managed the team that built the product.

The work began in 2018, and we currently have a working version. However, our relationship is ongoing as the site is being improved and new features are being added.

I told them what I wanted and they delivered. The struggle was more whether what I asked for was reasonable, but they gave helpful suggestions on how to improve the project.

To get a minimally-functioning version of the product, numerous things needed to come together. The product isn’t usable until it’s completed, which is vastly different from most development jobs. They delivered on all the parts, so I’m reasonably happy with them.

They’re always available to speak through things with me and are quite responsive to my requests.

Everyone can always be faster from my perspective, but it’s the nature of things that they get developed at the pace they do.

Have very clear specifications about what you’re looking for before you talk to any developer. You can’t be unrealistic about time or difficulty either.
