I’m a client partner at Digital Futures, a digital skills academy. We train young people in important digital and tech skills that they need and the wider workforce needs. Our company trains software engineers, data scientists, data engineers, and cloud engineers. Once they complete training with us, we deploy them to partner organizations that they work with for a year or two, and my role is to arrange and manage the deployments.

What challenge were you trying to address with Noltic?

Salesforce is our CRM platform tool where we manage our pipeline, including all of our sales data and information about all of our clients and partners. We hired Noltic to help us customize Salesforce and get it set up for our specific use cases.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Noltic customizes our Salesforce web-based tool. They’ve helped us build reports and dashboards and organize various custom objects and pages. They provide consulting services and then deliver the customizations for us. Some of our requirements are ad hoc.

For example, they’ve implemented a recruitment system called Greenhouse. Our customers have to apply to join our academy, and they go through an assessment process. They apply through our website, and the data gets added on this recruitment platform that then gets passed through our database, as does core information from Salesforce. 

The Noltic team has also created a mechanism to forecast revenue and report on key business indicators. Usually, we give them requirements around reporting and dashboard updates.

We’ve worked with 4–5 people from Noltic, and our main point of contact is Orest (Salesforce Architect, Integrations & Mobile).

How did you come to work with Noltic?

They were recommended to us. A colleague of mine started the relationship with Noltic, and I’ve taken over.

We started working together in February 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Noltic has been absolutely fantastic. They’ve delivered everything we’ve needed at a high-quality level and quickly. Additionally, they offer good value for money. Working with them has been very straightforward. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them, and I’ll gladly keep using them. 

How did Noltic perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re in Ukraine, and I don’t call them often due to the Russian Invasion. When I email them, they get back to me within a couple of hours. Sometimes we have a quick call on Microsoft Teams to discuss requirements. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m impressed by the experience of working with Noltic. I’ve worked with various vendors, and it hasn’t always been easy to get them to understand what we’re looking for. With Noltic, I can describe what I need, and they understand it and deliver quickly.

I’m the founding CEO of a company building a SaaS product focused on the recruitment sector. We’re building a cloud-based recruitment platform for a staffing agency.

First, we engaged with an external UI/UX agency to build out custom Salesforce screens. They were responsible for all backend work on our Salesforce platform. All of our requirements necessitated custom builds and were going toward the recruiting product we were taking to market.

We’ve known them for a long time. I also run a recruitment agency and have used them on projects with my clients for that business. Because of my past relationship, I’d seen the quality of their work firsthand and was confident in their Salesforce knowledge.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They’re knowledgeable about Salesforce, provide excellent quality, and have a fantastic attitude. We ran into significant technical challenges, all of which they’ve easily overcome. Whenever I demo the product, it works well. They’ve always delivered in a timely manner.   

How did Noltic perform from a project management standpoint?

They worked the hours necessary to exceed expectations, taking initiative on the project. I see them as a long-term partner. Because of their attitude and high-quality work, I’ve recommended them to others in my network. We’re working within an ongoing sprint methodology, and communication is strong.

The depth of knowledge they have on Salesforce has prevented any serious technical challenges. They’ve made the project very easy, despite our demands. We’re solving sophisticated problems, and they’ve always made my visions into reality. They give me confidence in the product.

Be clear about your goals and project approach. As long as you have that rigor, the project will go well. That’s true of any development project.

We’re a Salesforce consultancy. We provide everything from strategic consulting to the actual build for all products related to the Salesforce ecosystem, including extensions, add-ons, and integration services like MuleSoft. I’m the CTO of the company.

We went to Noltic for very specific technical help on the Salesforce platform. We’ve worked on multiple projects with them. As an example, we were building an MVP for a startup company, which would offer their clients better mortgages.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Noltic provided Salesforce and Salesforce Community development in Apex. They worked on UI changes and on a complex backend mortgage score calculator. They also consulted on how to approach the problem.

We worked with four people from Noltic on this project.

We knew one of their founders and knew that he had solid technical and business skills. That was the main driver for initiating the collaboration, and it turned out to be a good choice.

The project ran between September–November 2020.

We didn’t track any KPIs, but we reviewed Noltic’s technical work internally, and it was really good.

How did Noltic perform from a project management standpoint?

They were really communicative and flexible. We used Slack, Jira, and Bitbucket for the collaboration.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their flexibility and creativity in finding solutions were impressive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, not that I can think of.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

I recommend being open and specific about the requirements. Noltic has technical resources on a very high level, and, because we were very specific about what we needed, they gave us very specific resources.

This was one of the major reasons for our success. Everyone was on point. We knew what we wanted, and Noltic delivered it.

We were looking to build out the underlying technology for a new subscription service offering that we’re planning to launch next year.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Noltic took the specifications and requirements for the product and helped us to complete and flesh them out. They also helped translate them into the realm of the underlying platform, which is Salesforce. They proceeded to build out the components of the product in phases. The deliverables were the working functionality in a beta mode.

We were introduced to them by another firm that has worked with them before. We decided they were a good fit by looking at some of their previous work. We also talked to their team and some of their references.

Our work together began in late-May 2020, and it just wrapped up in mid-October 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We cross-referenced the results with the design specifications to measure the success of the project. We’re generally satisfied with the outcome.

How did Noltic perform from a project management standpoint?

They did very well. We communicated via phone and email used Notion for project management.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was most impressed by the way that they became invested in the product and really worked with us as a partner to make sure that the outcome was a success.

No, not particularly.

Any advice for potential customers?

Just be prepared for the work style that’s necessitated by a time difference, if you’re not located in Eastern Europe.

I’m the CEO of Zenoo, a client onboarding solutions provider, and our primary focus is on financial services. Our product allows banks, lenders, and fintech’s to onboard their clients without the need for them to go into the branch or sign physical paperwork. 

It’s all done by web or app seamlessly with instant decisions. It gives the instant gratification that everyone looks for but quite often doesn’t get from a bank.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Noltic?

The thing that takes longer for us with these projects is integrating with each bank’s underlying systems. We thought that if we pre-integrated with Salesforce as an app we would be able to remove that blocker so that the implementations could be laser quick. 

We needed to build a Salesforce app on an app exchange so that Salesforce users could install and consume our fast service without the need of going through a major project. We didn’t have any domain expertise in Salesforce whatsoever.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We had a clear idea of what we wanted to do and we had the designs drawn out. We didn’t have a clear idea of how to do it though. The first thing that Noltic did was patiently meet with us to go over the thought process of what is realistic in Salesforce. 

They helped shape and form the idea to make it more future-proof. We then started using them for more and more work. The team gave us a fixed price based on the scope they helped define with us.

We work with a project manager and a senior developer. 

How did you come to work with Noltic?

A friend of mine has a business built on Salesforce apps. He used Noltic before and spoke highly of them. He said they were trustworthy and that they would deliver.

We spent 15,000€–20,000€ (approximately $17,000–$22,800 USD) per month. The first part of the work was 30,000€–40,000€ (approximately $34,000–$45,000 USD).

We started working together in February 2020, and our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Noltic delivered everything we wanted in the first instance. Now it’s in the process of being reviewed by Salesforce and installed on their app exchange. We involved Salesforce about 1–2 months ago and they have very quickly embraced it. 

They’re actively selling it as a solution embedded into Salesforce, and they’ve conducted about eight demos since they started. We should have our first deal closed this month. Off the back of this work, Salesforce has a $2 million deal because it closed loop in a specific use case that the bank was looking to do. 

They sold their software licenses on the back of it. Hopefully, at some point, we’ll start selling it. Noltic’s expertise in Salesforce is very useful, and it was obvious that they weren’t just going to hack something together. 

The quality of their work is good. We’ll know about it when it’s been used at scale in banks. I see no point in hiring anyone else even if they were more expensive. It’s much less hassle working with them as a partner.

How did Noltic perform from a project management standpoint?

Our contacts are very technical and they stuck to the budget to deliver the solution. Noltic’s project management is great. They’re a few hours behind us but they always respond within 5–10 minutes on Slack.

They’re constantly available, even on weekends, and they deliver very quickly. The team works in weekly sprints. They provided the plan, milestones and deliverables, and they logged hours into our central project management system. We have full visibility of what is being done. They’re always quick and happy to do more.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Noltic is responsive and willing to do work. They are willing to help. Additionally, they’ve got a lot of experience in building apps and they know what kinds of things go through security scrutiny and what you need to consider to make it compatible and configurable for multiple installs.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, it’s been a true pleasure working with them.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Understand what it is you want to build. You don’t need to do any technical scoping or any detailed scoping but you need to have a vision. You don’t have to go into the granular details of technical requirements. You can produce screens with some rough logic, and the team will deliver.

I’m the founder of ThirdEye Consulting, an IT consultancy based in London. We’re looking to be the leading technical innovators on the Salesforce and MuleSoft platforms.

What challenge were you trying to address with Noltic?

The UK market has a dearth of technical talent, especially around development. The nature of our business means that while we want to pursue technical projects, the technical skills we require from project to project aren't always consistent. It isn’t worth us having a huge development team in-house because they wouldn't be staffed on projects all the time. Partnering with a firm like Noltic allows us to flex our skillsets up and down as different client requirements necessitate. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We’ve worked with Noltic on multiple projects; in fact, I’d say that about 80% of our clients involve partnering with them. The range of projects is quite varied. We’ve engaged them for 4–5 Salesforce implementations.

In the case of our last big engagement with them, they were, for all intents and purposes, part of our delivery team to the client. Noltic provided us with a custom development resource, testing resource, and a deployment manager resource. We have a lot of really talented technical people on our side, too, so we used Noltic to extend our team. We also use them as a technical sounding board and vice versa.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with different developers and other resources from Noltic. We now try to work with Mykhailo (Managing Partner) and Vira (Salesforce Developer) whenever possible because they know our team and we get along with each other. In the past, we predominately worked directly with Vlad and Igor (Managing Partners) before they had a team as big as they do now.

In general, we have people that we like to work with because we now know them and how they work; they've formed a bond with the team. However, we’ve never been introduced to a Noltic team member that wasn't exceptional at their job. We try to keep the same people, but we're confident that if it's not the same people we've worked with before, Noltic will give us a really high-quality resource that we'll get to know and will feel part of the ThirdEye family. One of the things that I love about Noltic is that if they don't have the resources that we think we're going to need, they will develop them. We’re actually partnering together right now to skill up their team on MuleSoft, which is a huge focus of our company. 

How did you come to work with Noltic?

Vlad and I worked together in our previous roles. Through Vlad, I met Igor. We decided to partner with Noltic because we know the technical talent that Vlad and Igor bring to the table. Also, I think Noltic shares a lot of our ethos and commitments to quality and building a really good internal team. I love the fact that Vlad and Igor really invest a lot in their internal resources, and I think it shows in the quality of what they’re putting out.  

How much have you invested with them?

For the last project, we spent $110,000 over eight months. That’s been our biggest spend with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working with Noltic in July 2019, and we’re still very much committed. We will put Noltic on pretty much every single one of our projects. 

We initially reached out to them because we didn't have any developers at that time, and we had several different pieces of pretty complicated work that needed to be done for a client. Instead of going out to market and hiring someone immediately, we reached out to Vlad. We ended up mostly working with Igor on that one. That was a smaller engagement; we’d hand them a spec, they did the work, and then they reviewed it back with us. That's how we started our relationship with them. However, as we’ve worked with them more and more, it's no longer piecemeal work; they are an integral part of our team.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Noltic allows us to have more confidence pursuing deals where we may not have every single skillset in-house. Noltic is a critical part of our strategy for growth because they allow us to scale up and take on bigger and bigger projects. They also reduce our costs of delivery. We can put a better margin on their team and thus charge much lower rates when we're using their team for these pieces than we would if we had to hire and pay a developer here in London. That improves our competitiveness and helps our ability to scale in this market.

How did Noltic perform from a project management standpoint?

They are consistently amazing. A lot of times when you outsource work, people take very defined specs. We've worked with other outsourcing companies, both as ThirdEye and in previous roles, and if you haven't thought through everything, you basically have to do all of the work to design before you hand it over. Vlad’s team can develop, but they're also wonderful solution architects. You can bring a business problem to them, discuss it, and collaboratively come up with a better solution, which decreases the time it takes to prep for those handovers and a lot of the mental work on our side. Once you've handed it over to them, you can trust that it will be done. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re just really good to work with. They deliver excellent quality every time. It’s an enjoyable experience working with them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. I’m confident that if we ever did have something they could improve upon, we could have a very clear and direct conversation with them, and I think the results would be pretty immediate.

Any advice for potential customers?

Don’t think too hard about it; just do it. Be open and honest with them, and trust that they’re not just there land and expand or grab every penny out of you. They’re there to be your partner, so just trust them.

I’m the CTO of Shelf, a B2B SaaS platform. We’re building a knowledge automation platform that focuses on the customer service industry. We help agents and their customers find information my proactively suggesting that and integrating with various platforms.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They built a managed package. They built a Salesforce app for us that brought the functionality of our platform directly into the Salesforce interface.

We worked with several people, probably 5–7 people throughout the engagement with different skillsets.

Part of our product team is located in Europe and one of the founders of Noltic helped us set up in our new location. After some time, we engaged them as a partner.

Our partnership is ongoing, and we’ve been working with them since July 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We initially released the platform in September 2018. It brought on specific customers on Salesforce, and without this integration, we wouldn’t have been able to service them. The integration is an important part of our demos to prospects because it shows our ability to integrate with a wide variety of systems and platforms.

Salesforce helps showcases that with the CRM system. Further, it allowed us to polish our API and related documentation because some external partners rely on that.

How did Noltic perform from a project management standpoint?

They handled the technical requirements, needs, and how the solution should be shaped. So they managed the scope, different iterations, relief cycle, and what we needed to prioritize. Then we do a comprehensive acceptance test.

We have a weekly call with the whole team from our side and theirs. Then we have Slack channels for open communication and Jira.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re very strong technically and have a lot of knowledge on Salesforce. I’ve worked with a lot of external partners, and that’s where Noltic stands out. They’re also very responsive on a senior level. That a very positive thing. They’re even helpful outside of business hours. If there is an issue or a customer request, it’s never an issue reaching them. They’re true partners.

Are there any areas they could improve?

With every external provider, it’s challenging for them to understand enough of the business like an internal team would. Though that’s not necessarily Noltic’s fault.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Set up a clear governance structure with regular check-points in which you can go over the structure and documentation.

Please describe your company and your position there.

I work as a project manager and consultant at 123c Consulting. It’s a European IT consultancy company that provides comprehensive business advice and support with business process digitization, as well as the integration of complex IT systems, including IoT and blockchain-based technology.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Noltic?

We partnered with Noltic to receive help with Salesforce consulting and development while creating a PoC for bank services application. The PoC included Salesforce backend and mobile frontend development.

What were your goals for this project?

We aimed to present financial institutions the opportunity to create new financial products using an external vendor. Our main goal for this project was to develop a Proof of Concept (PoC) of needed functionalities for the bank mobile and web application.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We met Noltic’s CEO while working on another project as vendors. I already knew a lot about the technical expertise of their team and the other professional qualities they displayed. I was convinced they would be a perfect Salesforce partner for bringing our idea to life.

Describe the project in detail.

The idea of the project originated from the Payment Services Directive (PSD2), which is mandatory to all Financial institutions within the European Union (EU). This directive permits banks operating in the EU to open up their customer data to third-party firms with the consent of customers.

The PSD2 gives non-banking firms the chance to compete in the payment business and create new financial products by utilizing the data of banks. By offering competition, consumers have more choices for financial products and services. We came up with the ideas of additional functionality for the application that can benefit the bank as well as its clients.

We believed using Salesforce would help us build the PoC quickly and hence partnered with Noltic to take advantage of their specific expertise. The application’s PoC required us to build an SFDC-based “layer” between the Bank Open API and the mobile/web application.

This newly created layer, based on rich SFDC capabilities, allowed us to expand the standard functionality of the bank account and provide the operations needed for bank customers that did not previously exist, i.e.: -- creation of virtual bank accounts to collect money from groups of people for their specific goals and purposes -- providing virtual separation between the users’ money in personal accounts and virtual group accounts -- fast money transfer from personal accounts to virtual group accounts -- virtual account statements, including account balance information and details of each transfer (who transferred money and how much into this virtual group account).

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

All the required functionality of the web and the mobile application was successfully implemented. We've completed that stage of the project, and now we are working with a bank to move this opportunity to the next stage.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow of the project, which we organized in JIRA, Bitbucket, and Confluence, worked excellently. It gave us full control over the scope of work and the time spent for each task assigned to the Noltic team.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They have broad Salesforce expertise. We were impressed with their strong background in complementary development technologies andwhit communication skills. They also had the ability to manage UI/UX aspects of the project.

No, everything was great.

I’m the chief sales officer of Guuru. We’re a customer service and interaction solution.

What challenge were you trying to address with Noltic?

We made a last-minute decision to migrate from our former CRM to Salesforce. Because we had new hires starting soon, all the migration had to be completed within two weeks.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

I set up all the basics of our Salesforce system but needed help with the migration of data, formulas, and workflows. Doing that myself would’ve taken far too long, and I didn’t have a sales operations team yet. Noltic handled all of the migrating work, and they do so remotely.

What is the team composition?

I worked with two people, one individual who did the migrating and another who acted as liaison. However, I don’t know if other people worked behind the scenes.

How did you come to work with Noltic?

We’re a small startup, and I wanted to establish a Salesforce partner. I began my search by looking through the many silver, platinum, and gold Salesforce partners. There are partners for every detail and functionality. However, this method would accumulate to a huge invoice and too many partners for each functionality. I predicted this would slow down my migration process, and given the time constraints, I was very selective.

When I found Noltic, I liked that they were a silver partner and a small-sized company. I directly spoke to their CEO, and they were very transparent. They truthfully expressed that they didn’t know everything but could figure it out. From our correspondence, I gained confidence in them because I knew they’d try no matter what. Ultimately, I selected Noltic because of their agile approach and company size.

Our ongoing partnership began in December 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Noltic did an excellent job of finishing the entire migration before the deadline. Not only that, but they were proactive and completed small optimization side projects in the same timeframe. After the heavy migration work was finished, they successfully helped us establish our Salesforce Service Cloud integration.

How did Noltic perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management is straightforward because we use Asana. We list all the project tasks, and they know to work on them; it’s a smooth process. Most of the time, we communicate via Slack and Zoom video conferences.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Noltic works very fast and their turnaround execution time is great for urgent tasks. In order to complete everything in two weeks, they worked long hours and during their weekends — that’s dedication.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I can’t think of anything.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I’d advise them to definitely ask the CEO to be their point of contact. He’s very good and transparent. Be precise about your required objectives. Our team gave Noltic a task with loose requirements so they had to take what we provided and come up with ideas. You should be as precise as possible; that applies to every integration partner.

I work for WABCO Belgium. We provide solutions for the transportation business in the form of fleet and trailer telematics. Our customers are transport companies looking to optimize their fleets’ operations.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Noltic?

WABCO is working on telematics for the high-end segment, big transportation companies looking for premium, complex solutions. We were challenged to approach the transport business of smaller to medium-sized fleets and find a solution that was self-servicing. That’s how we came to Salesforce and later Noltic.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Noltic helped us design the website for customer registration. It uses Salesforce. Very importantly, they also built the subscription management system. Our customers need to renew their subscriptions on a yearly basis by paying via a webshop, using VISA or Mastercard. That’s something we set up with Noltic as well. 

We’d never done such development in the telematics world. Normally we have a direct sales model, where we send the clients invoices. We wanted to do this self-servicing, and that’s what Noltic did for us. There is company and user registration, and, very importantly, the subscription management afterward.

What is the team composition? 

We only work with Michael (Salesforce Developer). 

How did you come to work with Noltic?

Our Salesforce project manager scanned the market. It was a difficult project, and we’ve had to use two external companies to make it happen, but it didn’t work too well. In the end, we asked the Salesforce project person at WABCO to look for other resources, and he found Michael. He really opened our eyes and did exactly what we were looking for, at a very good pace, and with some very good ideas on how to make things happen

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Noltic around April 2019, and it’s ongoing. The current project is delivered, but we have new features and enhancements to do. We’ll use Michael for that in the future, but I think that his work will go into other projects within the organization.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The general feedback is very good, and Noltic is very hands-on. If we have an issue, they’re always reachable and ready to support us. It’s very important for me to have someone behind the screen ready for the task. 

Secondly, they think along with us. As a product manager, I’ve told other external resources to do something, and they’ll just say yes even if it doesn’t make sense. Michael gives us pushback and suggests different approaches to take it to the market quicker, at a better price, and with better performance. 

The third thing is the quality. In the end, we can have the nicest look and feel, but it may not work. This was a challenge for us because we were new to the domain of self-servicing and self-registration, and he did a great deal for us there. The bug rate is very low, and, if there is something, he’s ready to help.

How did Noltic perform from a project management standpoint?

We have a very small team, and the project management part was done by my colleague. The reporting on what they were doing, the sign-off of the work, and the invoicing were all automated, and it worked pretty well. 

From a project and administration point of view, it was all done in a professional way. Michael used Jira for the planning and tracking of everything. He’s strong from an administrative point of view, not only a good developer. We had daily 15-minute calls in the morning to sync up with the team.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We came to Noltic because we’d had some frustrations with other external resources. We were explaining and explaining, and they couldn’t understand the vision and didn’t know how to move forward. With Noltic, we explained to them how we saw it, drafted it, and they got to work and delivered on time. They made sure they could continue the work and deliver. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

To be honest, I’m pretty happy with what they’re doing so far. There might’ve been some sync-up problems with a bigger group, but we’re working with a single developer. It’s just a pity that we don’t have more people like him.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

I’d tell them not to hesitate. I think they’ll get a very professional team that has very quick onboarding. That’s also very important. They will deliver the right quality, and they respect the time-to-market.
