I’m head of the CRM at HOSPITALITY.digital, and we provide digital services and create digital solutions for the owners of restaurants and hotels.

What challenge were you trying to address with Noltic?

We reached out to Noltic because we had a very ambitious schedule of releases that we needed to complete in a very short period of time.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Our original CRM, which was based on Salesforce, and our contact form were almost completely separate from the rest of the ecosystem and architecture that we have. So, our goal was to integrate the CRM and adapt the data model as well.

At the same time, we were shifting from a B2B focus to a more B2C approach since the platform we were providing was really more suited to B2C anyway. And on top of that, we had to integrate Salesforce, so we had a bunch of different APIs for this mostly homemade system while trying to keep some of the best practices to avoid any technical difficulties.

What is the team composition?

I think we have close to 10 people from Noltic, ranging from junior and senior developers to a Scrum master or technical lead. They worked near-site, for the most part, as well as spending some time in-house working with our team to make sure everything was completed on time.

How did you come to work with Noltic?

Noltic was introduced to us through a third-party provider who had worked with them in the past. We had a really good relationship with that provider, so when they were recommended to us to deal with the challenging timeline we were facing, we trusted them and were not disappointed.

How much have you invested with them?

I think we’re close to the yearly figure of a €1,000,000 (approximately $1,100,000 USD)

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in June 2017 and are continuing to this day.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We track the number of bugs that are part of the releases, and overall, they’re much lower than in the past. Beyond that, just being able to hit the deadlines that we were originally facing was a huge benefit that we owe completely to the work done by Noltic.

How did Noltic perform from a project management standpoint?

They are definitely very good at setting expectations and goals realistically. They tell us right away what is feasible and what’s not, which is definitely better than someone promising the moon but not delivering. I think they definitely have their feet on the ground and know what can be done.

At the same time, they understood our hardest deadlines and were willing to put in the work to make sure we were able to accomplish those, even if it required working long hours or weekends. They are always able to tell exactly what resources are needed for each kind of project and are just very effective in scoping and delivering on what they do promise.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I think Noltic strikes just the right balance between telling you exactly what they think and being friendly and welcoming. A lot of the time third-party providers will have a strong sales approach and be too eager not to offend you or say no to bad ideas. Noltic has proven to be both adaptable and very realistic.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think there is anything specific that I wish they had improved.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Listen to what they say is feasible and not feasible. They’re not pushing you around, they’re just setting realistic expectations so that they can deliver on what they promise and not disappoint you later on.

We wanted to improve the way our bank maintains its customer data, so we were looking for a vendor to help us with a number of projects within our CRM.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Noltic takes the requirements from our general development team and then, they develop new Salesforce functionalities that we request. They've also built a marketing package so that we can better market our services to our customer base. In addition, they've developed a product that is separate from our CRM and uses Lavarel technology. It's a bespoke third-party product on a Salesforce platform.

I usually work with about six members of their team, but this number fluctuates depending on our needs.

The quality of their work is very high. Our product went live and it's been successful in the market. Noltic has helped us build out our internal Salesforce capability, which has vastly improved the way we sell our services to our customers.

They're one of the best development teams I've worked with. They're very thorough and they engage with us to make sure we're getting exactly what we want. We mostly use Jira to manage the development teams, and we use Skype and Zoom to stay in touch.

I’m one of the founders of a software company that focuses on enterprise B2B sales companies.

Our main product is an internal salesforce instance that we call a customer revenue optimization app. It’s a productivity tool for sales that we’ve made available in the Salesforce AppExchange. We partnered with Noltic to help us modify and update the app in time for launch.

What was the scope of their involvement? 

Noltic augmented our internal development team to help us build out our app. Because they’d worked with several large customers, they had a deep understanding of Salesforce. That meant that they could translate our business and use cases into technical requirements before helping us where we needed them. They then handled third-party security reviews, guided us on setting up the architecture, and refined the overall UX. 

What is the team composition? 

At any given time, we were engaged with around five resources. Their skill sets ranged from UX/UI, Java development, and Salesforce experience.

Noltic came highly recommended from a five-time Salesforce MVP. In our initial discussions, we quickly identified that they were the right fit for us based on their approach, flexibility, and ability to work with us. With their help, we managed to meet our internal timelines and come in under budget. We’re pretty happy with that.

They were fantastic. Rather than taking a body shop approach, they were really more of a full-service consultancy that focused on delivery. Vlad (CEO, Noltic), in particular, was very hands-on. He’s experienced, so he understood where we were in our project and stepped in to provide invaluable insights—this spanned many technical topics like the app architecture and other Salesforce-related items. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Noltic is very much a boutique, highly-skilled consulting firm that can scale with their customers. Besides being incredibly responsive, they were willing to act more as a business partner, even if there wasn’t any obvious short term revenue. They were focused on the long term, sticking with us to brainstorm ideas and give feedback. That sort of commitment is really what you’d find in a business partner instead of a just an outsourced development firm.

No, they did a great job. We didn’t have any issues with them whatsoever.

In general, it’s always good to come in with defined technical requirements. But, if you’re not sure what you need, Noltic is incredibly helpful at guiding you through the discovery phase.

We had an urgent project where we needed to onboard a new client. As part of that, we needed to put in a lot of the foundations in the system that had been missed by our previous partner.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The core of our platform is for it to run multiple similar but not identical programs on behalf of our clients. We wanted the ability to onboard a new client quickly and put everything in place without having to build everything from scratch, but still making it feel tailored to the specific client. Noltic worked on that. 

We also took a bespoke scheduling tool and made improvements to its usability as well as optimizing its search and matching algorithm. Noltic improved the UI and made the presentation of the information for our internal users much better.

The project lasted from June–October 2024. We have subsequently done several other projects with Noltic.

Noltic delivered on time. We used a mixture of Slack, Teams calls, and email for communication.

Their perseverance and focus on delivery dates were impressive. They pushed really hard to stay on track. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

There are always things we could have done better or differently. Ideally, we would have had a much longer onboarding with Noltic. They could have better understood our Salesforce organization, and both of us could have better understood how to work with one another. Despite this, we felt Noltic did a very credible job under tough conditions and a very difficult deadline.

As we scaled up, business development and customer success operations started to strain under our legacy CRM. There were limitations with new tools integrations, speed of doing simple work tasks, and data handling. Our team faced daily frustration from slow manual data entry.

Almost all data was input manually, while Sales & Customer Success Managers were juggling 4-5 different tools just to gather customer information during onboarding and beyond. 

With integrations across BI, finance systems, internal databases, and ticketing tools, we made a huge step towards transforming Salesforce into our 'single source of truth' about the customer. In addition, many recurrent tasks that took 5 minutes now get done in under a minute, for a five-fold improvement in efficiency. Automated data flows replaced manual entry, while new collaboration features enable smooth customer handoffs between sales and customer success teams. The transformation extended beyond the sales organization, with teams across our company now accessing Salesforce for critical business insights.

1. Recurrent tasks that took 5 minutes now get done in under a minute, for a five-fold improvement in efficiency. The same is valid for the tasks that consume more time, e.g. data collection and analysis.
2. The migration project built a solid foundation for our Sales processes, with several marketing and communication tools integrated with Salesforce just 3-4 months after the migration. These changes would have taken more than a year with our legacy CRM.

Using an AWS hosted server, we built a custom application with its own queuing management and database.

Thanks to their work, we were quickly able to shave off hours of daily effort from our product teams by automating part of their repetitive work. When integrating the CPQ with the ERP we avoided the product team from having to create manually part numbers in SAP.

We migrated over to Salesforce, and initially used a salesforce partner to build this out and push it to live. However, we quickly found that they were too expensive, and the PM which we used no longer worked there who was really good. As a cost-saving exercise, we looked for an alternative partner. We interviewed 5 Salesforce Partners, and of which we decided to go with Noltic.

They offered a more well-rounded service than what we experienced and had native Ukrainian-speaking developers, which hugely helped as our web development team are also Ukrainian. Noltics hourly charges were competitive but still cheaper than Salesforce recommend partner, and we didn't lose any experience or expertise.

If anything, we gained better experienced developers with salesforce.

The projects which Noltics helped build and deliver were:

• The ability to issue partial/ full refunds through Salesforce instead of logging into likes of stripe/PayPal/ google pay etc. Whenever we issue a refund through salesforce, the automation also closes the order in Magento and sends the customer an email to inform the refund was made and the order is to close.
• Built our salesforce live chat/ FB chat - Initially, the product was out of the box, but the Noltic team, personalised the feature to our needs, i.e. how many chats an agent can handle at any given time, all the templated responses and text, contact form on chat button if no agent was available.
• Push all orders from Magento into salesforce and make them available with each customer record. - Build dispute channel into Salesforce. Again instead of having to log into likes of stripe/ PayPal/ google pay etc, to manage disputes, they built an API in which all this information is pushed and available on salesforce, and we can respond to all disputes. The idea behind this is so that all disputes are attended promptly and to bring about productivity and efficiencies for the support team.
• Shopper Approved Reviews. We wanted to identify which customers have filled in an experience survey and flag customers who are unhappy (1-3 stars) and which are happy (4-5 stars). For any customers 1-3 star - our support team now reach out within the hour, as we now get a notification, which has resulted in turning the experience around.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We used google and Upwork to find salesforce accredited partners. Out of several partners, we had our top 5, all of which we met with twice in an interview-type call, and requested to provide a quote on how many hours each project would take, how much their hour rates were, and also what their retainer fees were. Obviously, our deciding factors were how long it would take to complete each project, the hour rate, the monthly retainer fee, and most importantly, the knowledge and expertise to deliver on projects.

• Live Chat - Resulted in monthly average 38% less email/ contact forms coming in, as most customers come through live chat (2021-2022)
• Service levels to respond to all disputes 100% within 6 hours
• Features/ Projects completed resulted in being able to reduce customer support agents hours.
• All customers with 1-3 stars attended to within 60 mins.

Part of the interview/ vetting process, we advised that we work with slack and JIRA, both of which they both use as part of their day to day business so this was brilliant, as we manage projects and communicate through platforms they are already familiar with. The communication and updates through both channels were great. Even outside of their office hours, if we encounter any issue and messaged them, they will go over and beyond to look into the issue and resolve it.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

With Noltic we continue to receive a proper personal experience. With our initial partner we were just a number in a group of many other clients, but that isn't the case with Noltic. Our web development team, also appreciate the fact they are working and available at the same time zone, so this drove huge efficiencies, and we didn't lose valuable hours waiting for someone else to come on line from a different time zone. They are flexible with the monthly retainer fee. If some months we went over the bucket hours, they would still continue to charge the smaller fee - when a partner does that, you know they aren't after to just make vast amounts of money off you, as an SMB business themselves they understand other SMB.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I have been the direct contact between eManualsOnline and Noltic, and honestly speaking there is no recommendation or areas of improvement I would suggest. They have an ete for detail, very thorough with their QA, so when we receive updates on sandbox to check, they have every scenario covered. Only suggesting I would make is they need to make more noise about how good they are.
