Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the chief architect of Wizz Financial, a financial services company. We provide cross-border payment solutions, foreign exchange, microlending, digital wallets, and B2B payments. We serve individuals and businesses in over 30 countries with brands like Unimoni, Xpress Money, and Direcpay.

What challenge were you trying to address with Nimbus TechKnox?

We needed help with DevOps engineering.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Nimbus TechKnox has helped us with the generation of Terraform scripts to fully automate the deployment of our AWS infrastructure. They’ve also helped us choose the best approach for metrics collection, visibility, costs, and alerts for our mission-critical services. The team has created CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps and GitLab for Terraform, web applications, backend services, and more. They’ve also helped us with production incident troubleshooting and technical support outside office hours.

Moreover, Nimbus TechKnox assists us with ongoing projects in different teams in various locations, including the UAE, India, and the US. The team has created Grafana dashboards for resource consumption, metrics, and costs. They’ve also set up health checks, alerts on failure, and Slack messages on thresholds breached for defined metrics.

Nimbus TechKnox has also helped us with complex network configurations, including VPN, VPC peering, and private links. The team has set up an activity audit trail and helped us with the PCI/DSS compliance process.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve seen measurable progress every day, and Nimbus TechKnox reports it in detail. The team has created available environments for developers to deploy new services and hosted web applications exposing an ever-growing set of functionalities. They’ve also uploaded dashboards and triggered alerts when expected.

Developers can progress much faster thanks to an environment hosting all the services, required tools, aggregated and query-able logs, and elastic capacity that they don’t have on their local laptops. Nimbus TechKnox has carefully planned all of this to keep costs under control.

How did Nimbus TechKnox perform from a project management standpoint?

Nimbus TechKnox’s delivery time is impressive and exceeds our expectations. The team is always available, and we have clear communication. They always communicate detailed planning before execution. Every step is clearly documented and explained. The team has high availability even outside office hours for very specific situations, including weekends.

What did you find most impressive about them?

No challenge is big enough for Nimbus TechKnox’s experience. We haven’t experienced any delay in deliveries, even when the requirements are very complex and demanding. The team has proven results with no errors or rework needed.
