I’m the operations lead of TurtlEd, an education company. We provide personalized tutoring services designed to inspire and empower K-12 students.

What challenge were you trying to address with NESL LLC?

We needed help with web development and a way to streamline our operations in a unified platform.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

NESL LLC developed a custom teacher platform for us. The platform includes a scheduling system, integrated web conferencing, a tutor-facing entry point, and an admin dashboard to manage classes and measure different metrics. NESL LLC has also created a class records section to run payroll each month accurately. The team built an integrated virtual whiteboard that allows tutors to upload Google Slides and students to work on their own individual copy while the tutor can see their work. Additionally, NESL LLC has built our new customer-facing website and transferred it from Wix to AWS. The team has created a custom way to house all of our lesson content and a system to automate the learning sequences, making it easier for tutors to know exactly which lesson they’re going to teach. NESL LLC has managed the full development process.

We started working with NESL LLC in February 2024, and our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

NESL LLC's work has improved our efficiency. Before, we had to manually create Zoom links for each class and cross-reference them to ensure we weren't duplicating licenses. Additionally, we had to create Google Calendar invites for each tutor. We also had to manually make learning sequences for tutors, who had to go to a different location to find that information. Now, the new system has sped up the creation of lesson sequences and has made it much easier for tutors to see their schedules, enter their classes, preview content, etc. NESL LLC has also built the ability to copy sequences to multiple groups, saving admins time.

How did NESL LLC perform from a project management standpoint?

NESL LLC always delivers around the general ballpark time. We communicate via virtual meetings and messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

There have been many times when I've come to NESL LLC with a challenge or problem, and they're always open to exploring ways to address it. The team has excellent communication.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can't think of anything for NESL LLC to improve.

What was the scope of work?

NESL LLC has been responsible for UI/UX and mobile app design, marketing material design, and data security. The team has completely designed the application from start to finish, including UI/UX and mobile app design. They’ve had a person leading each effort with a full-stack development team.

We found NESL LLC through LinkedIn. We chose them because they’re a flexible and smart team fully qualified to take the product from design to market. They’ve helped me fully shape my vision into a viable product and continue to support me through the development of the MVP.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in April 2025, and the engagement is ongoing. We’ll release the MVP in July 2025.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I’m very satisfied with NESL LLC’s work; they’ve fully met my expectations. We’ve built a lot of trust, and I’ve seen them do an amazing job. The database is secure, the mobile app is visually stimulating and easy to use, and the dashboard is flexible in terms of information, allowing each user to see different things. People love the product and are excited to use it.

How did NESL LLC perform from a project management standpoint?

NESL LLC’s project management is amazing; they’ve delivered everything ahead of schedule. The team is very responsive and available during US hours, which is helpful. We have weekly standups to ensure everything is going well and to take care of anything I may need to jump in on. We primarily communicate via Slack and Google Meet for calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

NESL LLC is professional and friendly. They do truly amazing work and always demo what changes have been made. Additionally, they’ve given me a prototype to start marketing ahead of release.

I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on.
