I’m an associate director at an IT solutions company in Jaipur, India. We do mobile application development and have a couple of pretty well-known products worldwide. We’re also a service-based domain with multiple clients that hire us for their in-house operations. We often outsource our products to other companies.

What challenge were you trying to address with NBN Minds?

We needed to develop a web application.

What was the scope of their involvement?

NBN Minds designed and developed a web product for us. They built an e-commerce app where the admin has the native controls of product management, catalog management, CMS, sales reporting, and inventory. We gave them big requirements, and they used PHP and MySQL to create everything from scratch.

The team size varied depending on the project phase. We mostly spoke with the project coordinator. Overall, there were 5–7 team members involved.

We looked for service providers online and came up with a list of 5–6 companies. We spoke with everyone and found NBN Minds suitable for the project. They understood and documented the requirements well; they were a perfect fit.

The project started at the end of May 2021 and ended in September 2022.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

NBN Minds handled everything properly. Our traffic is at 5,000 users. Moreover, the app has over 250 products, and the flow is great, including stock management, sales, and interconnectivity. All in all, they delivered exactly what we wanted.

We had a couple of bugs, but NBN Minds solved them.

How did NBN Minds perform from a project management standpoint?

They provided updates promptly and were always on time. The team used Jira for project management and sent reports to us via email. We also had a schedule set with Google Meet calls and phone calls to discuss things. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

The way they handled us was excellent. Their documentation work during the initial phase was great, and we really liked it because it was a key to the project’s success. In later stages, NBN Minds kept us updated in a timely fashion, and we were always properly synced.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, they did all their work really well.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

We only worked with them for a web app, but if anyone hires them, we can assure they’ll do the job properly.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

So far, NBN Minds has been meeting our expectations, especially when it comes to resolving bugs quickly.

The app is still being developed and tested, so we don’t have any metrics to share yet. We’re expecting the app can support about 50,000 users.

How did NBN Minds perform from a project management standpoint?

They always meet our deadlines, and communication from their side is very good. For managing and tracking tasks, we use Jira. For communication, we interact via Zoom and email. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re impressed with NBN Minds’ creativity; the designs they’ve made are awesome. Also, the code is light and fast.

Are there any areas they could improve?

NBN Minds can improve on conducting internal tests.

Give them a project that they’re familiar with.

We were looking for a vendor that could provide mobile app development because one of our customers was looking for a team that could create a food delivery app.

What was the scope of their involvement?

NBN Minds developed a mobile application for our customer from scratch. Their team used Flutter for the app’s design. We were provided mock-ups and workflows before the development began.

We worked with 3–4 teammates working on the project, including the project manager, 1–2 developers, and 1–2 designers.

We worked with them for a year, from January–December 2021.

Our customer is very satisfied with the project — we’ve gotten a lot of new customer projects because of how well this one turned out. The app has around 1,000 active users, and the numbers are expected to continue growing once the marketing campaign starts. 

How did NBN Minds perform from a project management standpoint?

For this project, we used Trello to manage tasks. We communicated with NBN Minds through Zoom, Skype, and Google Meet. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their team is their core strength. Each teammate has 4–5 years of experience, which is amazing.

Their team is good at coding, but their work could always be improved. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I’d highly recommend NBN Minds because the work they deliver is very good. However, I’d suggest having documentation laid out before starting the partnership.

What was the scope of their engagement?

They helped augment our staff with web development and SEO services, and had a series of discussions about the workflow, wireframes, and the required technology to use. They then created a fashion eCommerce platform from scratch using WordPress with our guidance and recommendations.

Our main point of contact was the owner, but we also worked with graphic designers and developers.

Everything was perfectly fine in terms of the development process, as we tested the app and found no issues. The app is live right now with over 2000 active downloads for the Android version, and we've gained about $10,000–$12,000 in annual streams.

They delivered everything on time and utilized Trello for project management. We had weekly physical meetings since we're from the same city, but we also used Skype for communication.

I’m the founder and CEO of Mindjini.in, a website and mobile app development company located in India. We also offer IT consultancy and Salesforce development services to our clients.

One of our clients wanted to develop a food delivery app, so we approached NBN Minds to help us with this project.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

NBN Minds has helped us develop the app for our client. Initially, we provided them with the documentation and wireframes they needed, and they took it from there. They’ve developed this app from scratch using Node.js for the web version and Flutter for the mobile version.

The mobile app version is now available for Android, and we’re still developing the web app, which currently only has its administrative side complete. Additionally, we plan to develop the iOS version of the mobile app in the future.

As for its functionality, this app is directly tied to a restaurant in Jaipur, India. It consists of a portal in which customers can order food and then receive it at their doorstep at the time of their choosing.

What is the team composition?

I’ve been in contact with three people from NBN Minds, including the owner, a project manager, and an SEO specialist.

The mobile app developed by NBN Minds has already been published on Google Play Store, and it currently has around 1,000 active users, which is great.

How did NBN Minds perform from a project management standpoint?

NBN Minds is great at sticking to deadlines. Although they missed the first milestone deadline, they made up for it with the second milestone. We use Trello for project management, and we communicate via email. Additionally, we have frequent workshops.

What did you find most impressive about them?

NBN Minds’ experience is phenomenal, and their services are very affordable.

Please have your documentation ready before starting the project, and make the instructions completely clear so that there are no misunderstandings later on.
