Our parent company is Nabina Group, and I’m the IT manager for a group of companies. We worked on the project with MXPERTZ for one of our sister companies, Gulf Food Center. We started a new supermarket chain and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) unit that carries all kinds of foodstuffs, fruits, and vegetables. It was something different from our existing line of business.

What challenge were you trying to address with MXPERTZ?

We hired MXPERTZ for a complete branding and website development project.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We shared our brand vision with MXPERTZ and provided examples of what we were looking for. They took off with that, and there was a bit of back and forth. This included logo design, the name of the company, the color scheme, and marketing collateral such as business cards, shopping bags, and fliers. 

For the website, we chose a template on WordPress and asked them to develop it based on that. They also hired a translator to make the website available in both English and Arabic, so they provided translation services for us as well.

What is the team composition?

They had a team of around 20 individuals, but I didn’t interact with all of them. Our main point of contact was Sarah (Project Coordinator).

We got to know MXPERTZ online through a freelancer platform. We'd worked on an earlier job with them through the platform. 

How much have you invested with them?

We spent around $5,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in March 2022, and the project ended in February 2023.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

MXPERTZ did an excellent job with the website. The website just went live last week, so we don’t have any metrics yet. In between this project, I worked on two other projects with them for sister companies that we recently started. If I hadn’t liked their work, I wouldn’t have hired them for the other two projects. Overall, I’m satisfied with the work they did.

How did MXPERTZ perform from a project management standpoint?

​​​​​​They were very prompt with their work, catered to my needs, and always made me a priority. They were very cooperative, and if we wanted something redesigned, they would take care of it. We communicated mostly over Skype.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was most impressed with Sarah; she was very courteous.

I have no constructive feedback; I was happy with the engagement.

We were able to speed up development and finish the majority of features in our new website builder. We also started the O-Auth integrations with the top social media companies.

Slack for daily communication + weekly stand up to review and answer any questions. Loom videos were used to showcase development updates to our team along side each JIRA task.

They worked quickly and communicated well with our team, especially for a remote company on a completely different team zone.

There were some minor bugs that we found later in their work, but for the most part, the work was finished properly.

Our client was pleased with the updates. Internally we were going back and forth quite a bit on alignment issues and other missteps. We could not ever get down to the issue of whether or not this vendor was having difficulty implementing the design or if work was not being saved in the system.

Some projects seemed to take longer than expected to fix issues that we think should have been solved fast, but again there may have been other system issues at plat.

Despite their experience level, they consistently demonstrated a high level of professionalism and a strong work ethic. They worked diligently to ensure the product was delivered on time and were proactive in investigating and resolving issues promptly as they arose.

Additionally, their ability to maintain such high standards of work while offering competitive pricing is truly exceptional. This combination of dedication, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness made the company stand out and contributed significantly to the success of the Brainylingo project.

We needed a quick turnaround for our new website. And we wanted to have a quality outcome from the vendor at a fair price.

We had a previous engagement for the creation of a website but that was a brief one. This was a bit more challenging project and we wanted someone who would understand our requirements and fulfil them quickly and effectively.

We needed HTML5 with CSS and some Java scripts. The site needed to be responsive too.
