I'm the VP of product at a SaaS EdTech company for psychoeducational evaluation case management and report writing.

What challenge were you trying to address with MUXA Design Studio?

We needed help launching a new product in the market and vastly improving its original MVP's UX/UI and design system.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

MUXA Design Studio created wireframes, prototypes, and designs. The team also conducted user interviews and usability testing. MUXA Design Studio focused on creating and collaborating on the jobs-to-be-done definition, validating assumptions through user testing, building wireframes for additional collaboration with the product and engineering teams, creating prototypes for additional user validation and collaboration, and then creating final designs for implementation in the app.

What is the team composition?

We worked with one teammate from MUXA Design Studio.

How did you come to work with MUXA Design Studio?

We found them through a referral. We chose them because they had a sterling recommendation from a designer whose work I respect and opinion I trust.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from April to August 2025.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

MUXA Design Studio helped us launch the product in the market and increase user satisfaction and KPIs for their own workflow as well as for our app, including active engagement. We measured the improvements in user satisfaction and retention through surveys, interviews, and site analytics. The team also helped us improve user time savings, user satisfaction, active users in the app, and user retention.

How did MUXA Design Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

MUXA Design Studio's project management was a great mix of being very detailed, thorough, and reliable while also being flexible enough to take on new work as it became prioritized, juggle a bunch of different projects at the same time, and propose new work. We primarily communicated via Slack.

What did you find most impressive about them?

MUXA Design Studio's great attitude and high-quality designs were impressive. The team didn't need a lot of management.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, they were perfect.

I’m the VP of marketing at Afficiency. We provide a fully digital platform for life insurance, enabling distributors and carriers to quickly offer, design, and launch easy-to-understand life insurance products.

What challenge were you trying to address with MUXA Design Studio?

We needed support with the UX design of various digital portals that support our life insurance platform.

What was the scope of their involvement?

MUXA Design Studio has transformed our briefs and mockups into functional UX designs. The team has created various digital portals where complex third-party data can be displayed, and insurance underwriting decisions can be made by users. 

What is the team composition?

Generally, we work with one teammate from MUXA Design Studio.

How did you come to work with MUXA Design Studio?

MUXA Design Studio was already the incumbent UX design agency when I joined Afficiency. The team has remained with us for more than three years. MUXA Design Studio has always risen to the occasion and now nicely complements our in-house design team.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our relationship with MUXA Design Studio began before August 2022, and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The designs and edits delivered on time have been the measurable outcomes of our engagement with MUXA Design Studio.

How did MUXA Design Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

The team is very adept at using project management tools, such as Asana, to track and monitor progress on projects. We also use Slack and have regular in-person video calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The personality and ongoing willingness of the designers to work with us have been the most impressive aspect of MUXA Design Studio.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing I can think of that MUXA Design Studio can improve. We're very happy with our ongoing relationship.
