Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Involve Mukuba Consultancy Service in every step of the engagement. Managing Google Ads is very tough for most companies, so employing someone who is good and knows marketing as well as they do is vital. I’d suggest trying them out and see how you can work with their team.

We’re a FinTech company that offers payment solutions to companies across east Africa. Primarily, we’re offering a payment gateway and a B2B commerce platform. We aspire to add value to the African market by enabling African merchants to leverage our technology as a key resource. I’m the business development director.

We wanted a greater digital presence in terms of online marketing.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They do our SEO, Google Ads, and Facebook ads. Specifically, we were looking for lead generation support because, being a startup in a very competitive market, our brand wasn’t fully known. We wanted to increase our brand awareness.

What is the team composition?

I engaged directly with the owner. I’m not sure how many people were doing things in the background. He was our main contact person.

I know the owner personally. I’ve seen him doing business for a while. I also saw him working with another company, and they were more established than us.

We’ve spent less than $5,000 with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working together since January 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

After engaging with Mukuba, we were able to increase our leads by up to 100 more leads from the beginning of the project.

How did Mukuba Consultancy Service perform from a project management standpoint?

They communicate frequently with us before we communicate with them. There was more at the beginning of the project, and now we have weekly or bi-weekly communication. It’s very open, and we do it through calls and emails.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They focus more on the different niche markets that you want as a customer. They’re very practical and mindful of their customers’ expectations.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Frankly, I would say I’m pretty happy. There’s nothing much they could improve on, other than offering a different package for startup companies who might not have such a good budget.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be as open as possible to freely communicate, especially on the communications. As much as Mukuba does a lot of research and goes the extra mile, it’s always more helpful for the customer to be upfront about what they want. A lot of customers don’t know what to expect, so I encourage them to be as candid as possible.
