Co-founder and CPO at Praktika - AI-tutors for practicing speaking English.

For what projects/services did your company hire MOWAY, and what were your goals?

By October 2021 our product team have finished the new product research and we needed to validate your ideas. We decided to develop an MVP version of the App to test it with users.

By that time we did not have in-house development team, that is way we've started searching IT-outsource for Progressive Web App Development.

SOLUTION

How did you select MOWAY and what were the deciding factors?

We had 4 agencies in our short list and decided to go with MOWAY. And that is why: Value for money - the guys have reasonable service costs; Partnership approach - they were really interested in helping us meeting our goals.

Client empathy - Artem and the team have shown an agile approach in terms of contract capacity, ways of working and production cost to meet our requirements.

We've started up with analyzing our PRD. Afterwards, we've started with design stage, when the guys has already started preparing the frontend part. We've developed screen by screen, testing it several times per week.

Even though the project was a short term, together with MOWAY we've implemented KANBAN approach for team management and got the best from it. Technologies: Next JS, Node JS, Python, PWA

3 developers, a teamlead, a designer and a project manager.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We've successfully launched the PWA MVP that helped us to validate the idea. The application has shown good NPS results and we've conducted over 100 user tests with the application.

We've managed to work in Kanban methodology. Frankly, the guys are very agile to pick up your ideas of how to work and implement in the development process. Yet, they are a well-built team that has it's own processes up and running.

The customer management was quite good, Artem and Ivan were always on a short call and helped to drive the project to success.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The most unique thing with Moway is the client empathy, that covers both the devotion to meet their customers' goals and agility in project setting up and management.

The guys really want to do good projects and are interested in getting real results of the applications they launch for their clients.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

It was hard in the beginning, when the team was not fully set up. But when we discussed it with the guys - they've brought up some more developers and we've got it on the rails.

The challenge was that even though we had technical knowledge in our core team we needed experts guiding us in building a rather complex application. A partner in who we can trust and rely to follow best practises.

We actually compared 42 different vendors and agencies. At the end of the day we compared all in a score card and Moway was selected. We scored all on price, input, reaction to request, and further factors.

We are a start up simplifying the process of finding the right office community and subtenant. We already built a complete platform with the following technology stack:

There were 2 people in the core team – Artem the PM, QM and Ivan the technical lead. At times we worked with up to 6 people all managed directly by the core team (Artem and Ivan)

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

MOWAY was one of the most driven agencies I've ever had the pleasure of working with. They were very responsive, intelligent in their approach, and hard-working. The development work work is flawless and well thought out. They asked the right questions, and were very efficient in their process. We were able to get exactly what we were hoping for in speed, implementation and professionality.

Agile management, running with milestones and currently in sprints.

You can rest assured that work done by Artem, Ivan and his team at Moway is exactly what you're looking for. I couldn't recommend them more.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No, our project was really hard to scope in the beginning and Moway always communicated clearly if something took longer or was more complex than expected.
