What challenge were you trying to address with David Harris Film?

We were in the process of releasing a new product, and we needed some video content to function as an explainer video.

What was the scope of their involvement?

I already had the storyboard made, and David Harris Film put together all the video elements.

I only worked with David (Owner) throughout the project.

How did you come to work with David Harris Film?

I found him on Upwork. He responded to the job advert in the right way and responded to the criteria I had asked for. I wanted to see evidence of an explainer video that was less than a minute, and he provided me with that as opposed to other people who didn’t read that part to my request.

How much have you invested in them?

We spent less than $5,000 with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from January–April 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Internally, everyone thought that they delivered a great video.

How did David Harris Film perform from a project management standpoint?

Communication was good, and it was through Upwork. We talked daily, and whenever we needed something more in-depth or visual, he would use Loom to record stuff or go on a Zoom call if required — they were extremely hands-on.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their professionalism in working towards the clear timelines that he had set stood out about our engagement with them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don't think there's anything they can improve on — it was all good.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have a clear brief and timelines, as well as a sharp expectation of what you need. Also, provide him with examples to show the kind of things you are looking for.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

Football Manager 2024 Product Videos For everyplatform that has FM, we had to produce product videos/ trailers that conveyed what the product had to offer, using motion graphic content and recorded footage from the games. This invloved a master video for every platform, that would then have to be translated into over a dozen different languages, along with multiple aspect ratios with specific marketing and branding. This came down to well over 100 videos between a small team.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The volume of deliverables within a tight turnaround are easliy a good indicator. The client on this project is major source of income every year and they came back for more projects than usual.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

Morphic Motion was instrumental in getting this project completed. They could be entirely self-sufficient when needed but also function increadbly efficiently in managing multiple people, finding intuitive ways to keep the pace and workflow. Their standard is always at it's peek, transparent and reseptive to feedback with a healthy amount of flexibility.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The quality of work in the face of an ever looming deadline whilst being receptive to changes was and is a fantastic quality.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Morphic Motion could have done differently?

Knowing Morphic Motion as we do, anything that could need improvement is already being worked on and hasn't impacted our work. Additionally they are transparent enough that if something is not in their capabilities 'yet' they will let you know, so no time lost.

For what projects/services did your company hire David Harris Film, and what were your goals?

The goal was to create an engaging and striking teaser to generate interest in our latest webinar.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Really liked the look of the reel and previous work.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail, including the project steps and all stages of production.

The consultation was friendly, fun, and led to creative thoughts. What followed was an original test teaser that was well received, and from there we evolved that thinking into something more complex but equally compelling.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

David was always very quick to reply and respond to feedback. The process was seamless.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We saw an uptake in people engaging in the LinkedIn post for the webinar, which shows success. We will also be using David for future teasers.

All communication was clear, concise, and timely. All deadlines were met or even beaten to deliver ahead of schedule.
