What challenge were you trying to address with Monster Pile Creative Studio?

I needed a company that could help me with branding and setting things up for my product’s launch.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Our engagement with Monster Pile Creative Studio started with packaging design. I spent a lot of time looking for things that demonstrated what I was after, which I shared with them. They took all of those leads and were able to grasp what my vision was. We had a lot of calls together, wherein they provided great conceptual designs, graphic layouts, color schemes, and mood boards for the packaging.

Aside from that, they’re also in charge of creating our branding collateral, such as our icons and graphics. They've given everything to me in the correct file formats to use for social media posts and for website design. They’ve also designed some stickers for me.

A lot of our materials come from our packaging concept because I want to establish consistency across my branding materials. They’ve helped me create a bank of designs and materials that I can pull from and apply to wherever I need.

I’ve worked with Megan (Co-Owner & Design Specialist) and Mike (Designer & Illustrator).

How did you come to work with Monster Pile Creative Studio?

I had hired a third-party company to help me with the product design through manufacturing, and Monster Pile Creative Studio was contracted through that company. After working with them, I decided to hire them outside of that on my own because they already knew my product and my process and because they’ve done such great work to help me with the other things that I was working on for the product launch.

How much have you invested with them?

I’ve spent somewhere between $5,000-$10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in September 2020, and the engagement is ongoing.

SOLUTION

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The product hasn’t launched, so I don’t have any metrics yet. But the people who I have shown the factory samples of the packaging were blown away. I’m incredibly satisfied with Monster Pile Creative Studio’s work, and their level of creativity has really been impressive. They’ve provided unique design concepts and their deliverables are always very well presented, comprehensive, and very buttoned up.

How did Monster Pile Creative Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

Monster Pile Creative Studio has performed well in terms of project management. They’re very fair on the amount of time it takes them to do things and what they charge me. I’ve done business with companies that took way too long to do something and ended up racking up the hours, but this hasn’t been the case with Monster Pile Creative Studio — they have been spot and realistic in setting expectations 

We are on a messaging platform with that third-party company, so we communicate a lot there. For any projects that are outside of the scope of that business, we usually communicate through email or Zoom.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Monster Pile Creative Studio has done a great job at interpreting my vision, conceptualizing it, and then narrowing down the look and feel that I'm going after. They always give me their honest opinions on what we could and couldn’t do and provide a fair assessment of the different options that I could go for as far as packaging is concerned.

Overall, they're creative, communicative, proactive, thorough, prompt, and their deliverables are great. The work they've done is really fantastic.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It's just a joy to work with them, and we seem to be in sync all the time. I truly don’t have any complaints about anything I've done with them — they have been top-notch all the way through. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure to do your homework and bring them some basic concepts of what you want to achieve to help them understand your vision and the look and feel you’re going for.

They helped to create three birthday products for my company. After I presented to them rough sketches of what I wanted, they very quickly turned around a more complex more detailed vision of what I wanted.

In total I worked with two people.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Megan and Mike brought my vision to life. They listened to all of my requests, details about what I wanted in my design and literally created exactly what I had in mind. They are meticulous and pay close attention to detail.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

They were very easy to work with. They listened carefully to any feedback I had and quickly made any necessary changes which were few.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They fully understood the vision for my brand. I felt as if they were part of my own design team. They were able to successfully execute the design, color palette, and overall aesthetic so incredibly well.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No, everything was done to perfection.

They have helped turn an amazing idea into reality! My product is in production and looks unreal! They helped me take my idea, turn it into a functioning product, that looks and works amazing, and will soon be a huge success thanks for them!

I mostly worked with Megan and Eddy. They were both wonderful every step of the way! They were amazing designers that really have a true talent!
