I’m the CEO of a two-division optical products company. One division sells wholesale optical products to major retailers throughout the industry. Our other division is an online e-commerce platform.

They’re a digital agency that was helping us improve our digital marketing strategy, making sure all the touchpoints were covered.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Their team was responsible for helping us elevate our digital presence and marketing strategy. In that process, they were able to generate volumes of analysis and reporting to inform our process. We started our collaboration off with a three-month trial project, and our team just decided to extend the partnership for another 12 months.

We started working with them in January 2020, and our collaboration is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We based our fee structure on a success metric, and they’ve exceeded every goal that we’ve set. Our PPC performance, organic rankings, affiliate marketing, and Google Ads have all been enhanced with their support. They have a team of experts looking over each subject area to ensure our success. Those experts understand the industry at a level that most in the business do not. 

How did Modo25 Limited perform from a project management standpoint?

They prioritized communication, and my team worked very well with them. We were able to have plenty of one-on-one time with the CEO. Our teams have a formal update call each month, and our conversations could always be frank and honest.  

What did you find most impressive about them?

While their services may feel expensive, we’re paying for the absolute highest quality of work. During our meetings, they clearly share their process and take a collaborative approach to project planning.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I’ve been very happy with them. That’s why I extended our contract.

We have been running Google Ads for a little over a year. We did it in house at first and then switched to a small local agency. We were really struggling to get any traction and the spend with the first agency was not delivering results. I turned to Modo25 to find the right people online and target them with the right ad creative.

How did you select this vendor?

We assessed the capabilities of a range of different vendors. It was clear from the first meeting that Modo25 understood our business and our objectives. They were far from the cheapest option but they clearly communicated why they were better than other agencies. They had a clear strategy and execution plan.

We worked together to set our goals. A plan was then drawn up as to how they could be met, the cost of doing so and the realistic timescales. We have regular catch up calls in which Modo25 share easy to understand data points that underline and justify the next phase of their plan.

We have a Project Lead but we are also in touch with the CEO.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

In the 5 months we have been working together we have seen a significant increase in: - Impression share - visits to site - conversions to lead - conversions to sale The additional amount we decided to spend with Modo25 has been paid back several times over already.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Excellent comms and workflow. After every call the team follow up with written info and action any points discussed in the meeting.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They go beyond the expected norm. They are constantly saying 'we've had an idea' or 'We'd like to test this'. It feels like they are really invested in making the campaign a success.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I genuinely don't think Modo25 could do any better than they are at present. I'm super impressed and I intend to continue to retain them for the foreseeable future.

An overview and assessment of current website and marketing strategies in place. Made changes to the website to streamline the look and draw people to the pages we want then to see. Promote the events and services we wanted more visibility on through social media and mailing lists. Assess previous work with corporate clients and use those examples as advertising testimonials

What was the team composition?

Worked closely with John to clarify aims and objectives and deploy a marketing strategy. Worked with in-house copywriters to revamp blog pages and website copy, help with SEO etc.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Increase in enquiries and traffic to the site. sign-ups to the event in question meant we could promote it more widely and gain momentum. Increase in blog comments and interactions. Increase in social media visibility including interactions, polls and click-throughs

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Easy to communicate with and keep on top of tasks. Quick to respond and Modo25 had many useful and original ideas and different ways of looking at things. Always on the end of the phone or email if I had any questions. The team were always mindful of the end goal and purpose of the project.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their enthusiasm and original thinking are impressive. Always aware of market trends and what other companies were doing, but also suggesting better and more innovative ways to do things rather than just copying a model that everyone else is doing. I feel it helped us to feel unique and valued and that our business would stand out from the crowd.

Are there any areas for improvement?

All results were positive and met targets set. I'm not from a digital marketing background so I don't have much insight into whether things could have been improved. I'm very happy with their knowledge and expertise to guide me in an area I do not feel confident in.
