We were shopping around and found that MIU has an unlimited design package which suited our needs. It keeps our costs constant while at the same time helps us complete the tasks at hand.

After an initial round of understanding our branding and design requirements, the team created several mock ups of the tasks to nail down the look and feel that my team was comfortable with. After the first few projects, they understood the way we work and what we prefer in the design elements and was able to nail down the designs perfectly in the subsequent projects.

This cuts down time and helps us complete projects at a faster pace.

The teamwork and communication are top-notch. As shared, i was only working with 2 project managers but they are able to get the designs done perfectly each time with minimal instructions/supervision from my team.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Some of the files shared were images instead of pdfs and it was difficult to make simple text comments (adding/deleting text) for the next round of changes. Would be good to use pdfs for these instances.

The first few drafts weren't something we had in mind but they did give us a fresh perspective into what we want and we were able to communicate this effectively with the team.

Timelines and status updates on progress were prompt and i was always informed about when to expect revisions.

Their eagerness to truly understand the project at hand was something I didn't see in other agencies. Their team complemented mine well and ensured that the ultimate goal of delivering a well-presented brochure was met.

Is there any area for improvement or anything that could have been done differently?

There were various communication channels setup that were not used eventually. Would have saved the hassle with just communication via emails and whatsapp as that worked best.

The project involved four workstreams: redesign of the website from WIX to WordPress, server migration to the owned company server (which involved a series of security and capability assessments by the company's processes standards and Global IT team), development of SEO and SEM campaign in order to optimize and widen the site's reach and promotion of their multimedia assets and the upkeep and maintenance of the site and content management.

Two people: the two co-founders Now that the migration project is done, the day-to-day has been moved on to the project manager.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The site migration to WordPress and the global server have been done. The team was able to navigate a myriad of issues that emerged and were not flagged by the global team and I was impressed by their determination and continuous engagement of the team to make the project come to light.

They provided different solutions and successfully managed to implement the full migration. The ongoing work of maintaining and upkeep the site is a lot simpler and it's about uploading and updating content.

They have a system to manage the project but they were very flexible in adapting to my and my client's needs which require a more day-to-day approach with weekly team calls and overall close collaboration through traditional means (email and phone).

I am very thankful for this flexibility as it allows a wider team to be involved and gave me a wider peace of mind. They entirely took over the process so I only had to be updated when there were issues arising and had to get the client involved to escalate the issue/process.

Their flexibility and support! They were able to manage a series of hurdles that were not foreseen - even by the Global IT team on the client's side - and were able to deliver solutions that made the migration successful.

They're always very patient, supportive, and understanding of the issues at hand - especially dealing with people (like me) with limited background in website development.

At times their emails would not receive my invites so I had to double-check they got them - and vice versa. Small technical details but important.

An initial part of the project was to understand the different customer journey and identify critical touch points. Deliverables included a content marketing plan to target specific touch points, SEO work to optimise the channels and creating usable content to increase brand awareness.

The project was the first digital marketing project commissioned for Asia. The initial target was brand awareness. A strong content plan was put in place, with content curation. Digital channels were optimized. Although there were uptakes in awareness both internal and external, it was difficult to directly link to ROI as it was in the nascent stages. MIU also undertook a project to provide social media market research for the Australia and Asia market that was beneficial to position and time our campaigns, more effectively.

I enjoyed working with MIU from the kick-off. There was high rate of responsiveness as well as discussion/advisory on digital marketing, the future of digital, the trends as well as the challenges. MIU also gain on my perspective coming from a strong B2B environment.

I have found them to be truly listening to the clients needs, being responsive and trying to bridge between what is needed vs what is what others are doing. We established a common platform to communicate very quickly from our first meeting. The work they produced always met or exceeded my expectations. And if there is any redo or improvement need to be done, they get on with it efficiently. They definitely speak Digital.

They helped us with a digital marketing campaign with a text message application and website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Our client had a negative reputation in certain markets in Southeast Asia that we used digital marketing to revamp. MIU was very helpful in not only shaping perceptions but actually laying down the infrastructure of the project: helping optimize the client’s website in terms of SEO and SEM, developing content for SEO, and managing the website and social media accounts.

Our client was a Chinese company, and they needed a diversified strategy for all of Asia. The client provided corporate content for us to reuse and MIU optimized it.

What is the team composition?

I worked with both of MIU’s co-founders: Abizer and Saifee. They were very hands-on and active, which is very rare. After that, we worked with a content creator, making a total of three people I was in constant contact with. There were also teammates I never met that were involved in the work. Abizer was my main point of contact.

We met at a trade event and stayed in contact, eventually co-pitching a project to another company that we weren’t chosen for. They left an impression on me, however, so when this opportunity came along, we won it together. I’m glad we finally got to work as a team.
