I'm the partner and CEO of Pixelcarve, an award-winning digital agency specializing in website design, video production, content creation, branding, and design for leading companies and organizations.

What challenge were you trying to address with M.I.T. Consulting?

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we shut down our office and moved to full remote work. We had to switch our entire infrastructure from on-premise servers, workstations, and systems to all cloud and remote technology. This was no small feat since we're a creative agency with terabytes of data that had to be migrated and enormous bandwidth and disk space requirements.

What was the scope of their involvement?

M.I.T. Consulting started with a robust consultation to understand our needs as an organization. Then, they recommended the proper infrastructure, cloud, and communication systems for us that fit our needs and budget. The team nailed it, actually saving us a lot of money through creative solutions we didn't even know about. Moreover, M.I.T. Consulting set up cloud and communication tools and assisted with the migration. Now, they manage all of our licensing, IT, and support needs (which, admittedly, are minimal because the systems are so solid).

We worked with 2–5 teammates from M.I.T. Consulting.

We found them through a referral. We chose them over other options because they had high ratings, a great culture fit, and aligned company values.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from September 2020 to January 2021. They continue to manage our licensing fees.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We migrated all of our data into the cloud and set up all the proper accounts, audit trails, data management, phone, and communication systems for our staff. The system also allows us to work more effectively with our clients and vendors as well through managed access.Overall, we saw cost savings, increased efficiency, productivity, flexibility, and performance. We saved tens of thousands of dollars of hardware and on-site IT services offloaded to efficient and inexpensive cloud and SaaS systems that are much more powerful and modern at a fraction of the cost.

How did M.I.T. Consulting perform from a project management standpoint?

M.I.T. Consulting's project management was friendly, collaborative, efficient, cost-effective, and caring. They delivered on time. Regarding communication, we used virtual meetings, emails, and messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

M.I.T. Consulting spent the time to analyze our specific and very unique needs. They already had a deep level of expertise and knowledge of our industry to recommend and help us set up the best tools.
