Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the Director of Marketing for MatchCraft, a global advertising technology company that specializes in solutions for resellers and agencies to offer scalable paid search, social, display and video campaigns to their clients.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire MIMETICO, and what were your goals?

In early 2022, we launched a new product, Poweredby, that we needed a promotional video for. The goal was to concisely explain the value proposition of Poweredby and how it works.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We were referred to Mimetico by someone who had worked with them in the past. The decision to use them was based on their process and workflow which was laid out for us in the exploration call.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail, including the project steps and all stages of production.

The first step was the exploration call to discuss their process and our needs. The product we were promoting is very technical and somewhat complex. We provided Mimetico with a range of written materials explaining the product and worked very closely with them to finetune the script. Because of the technical nature of the project, the script took some time to fine tune and Mimetico was great at incorporating our suggestions.

Once the script was finalized, the team created a story board with their design ideas for the visuals. The team did an excellent job of capturing the suggestions and the intent of our project while bringing great creative ideas into the animations. Once the storyboard was approved, they created a draft version of the video for another round of feedback and minor revisions.

At that point we selected the voice over talent based on samples that were provided to us. The voice over was recorded and combined with the video for our review. Once the two were combined we moved quickly through the final approval and production of the video.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

I worked most directly with Gabi who was incredibly responsive and professional throughout the process. They were always open to the feedback we provided and gave us great direction and suggestions for creating an impactful video.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We use the video on our website and as promotional content during conferences and tradeshows and have gotten great feedback from people who view it.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Most of the project management is facilitated via Google docs making it easy to provide direct feedback on deliverables. They were incredibly adept at keeping the project on track and making sure I was getting them feedback when it was needed.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They took a very complex concept and created a visually impactful and easy to understand video.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

They did a great job communicating throughout the process.

Our service offering can be complicated due to its extreme flexibility. In terms of international customer care and fulfillment almost anything is possible. That's why we wanted to create videos to explain our key features in an easy to understand way. Our goal was to increase website conversion, have appealing demos for our sales team and to share the videos on social media for further awareness and engagement.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We have executed a vast online search and shortlisted 4 suitable candidates. We have selected Mimetico based on their portfolio, their price and the inital contact with Alberto and Gabi

With Mimetico we have created 2 videos , one on our ecommerce customer care proposition and the other one on outr ecommerce fulfillment proposition. Both videos needed to be produced in 7 languages incl voiceovers and subtitles. In short these were the phases of the project: Script Technical Script Styleframe Storyboard VO recording Animatic + Music selection Animation Sound FX VIDEO delivery Video Variations x5 Variations delivery

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

I worked directly with Alberto and Gabi. The collaboration was the way I like it. Short lines with direct feedback and quick replies. Ideal to produce projects with that many language variations

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The videos are being used by the entire organisation in sales meetings, at fairs, on our websites and the websites of our partners as well as on social media

Very close collaboration mainly working by email and google docs. To me it worked very well this way

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Due to the interest of various stakeholders within our company we had many (probably too many) changes throughout the project. Mimetico understood this and dealt with the complexity from our side in a great manner

No, if anything should have been improved it was on our side
