Milo Mobile worked with us on building and releasing several different Android mobile apps as part of a larger project in the crypto space. The apps were complex and included many security features and some fairly sophisticated cryptography.

Apps were successfully built, tested, and released in accordance with the overall project schedule.

Yes, items were always delivered in a timely fashion. Milo Mobile was always very responsive and sensitive when there were any deadlines, and worked diligently to meet the schedule.

They very quickly became trusted team members, and seamlessly embedded themselves within the larger team. They were very proactive to jump onto any issues which were found, and often identified and fixed issues before anybody else had noticed.

Not really, they were a great partner and we look forward to working with them again.

Milo Mobile worked as a subcontractor and was solely responsible for developing the Flutter application which was to be deployed on both iOS and Android app stores. They initially started on the project as a part of the design process, providing critical feedback on the design system to ensure it was expedient to develop in Flutterflow as we worked on a concise timeline.

Once the design was completed, they worked quickly and efficiently with the end-clients backend team to build the UI and connect it to the appropriate end points. After launch, they helped monitor the application and squash bugs as they surfaced.

We finished the project within budget and on time.

Sam (Founder of Milo Mobile) attended all client meetings and internal development meetings. He has an extremely affable personality and is a great communicator. I always felt Milo Mobile was not on responsive but really ahead of all communication.

I’m the operations lead for a custom software development company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Milo Mobile?

Our project was very large, and we’d maxed out our existing contractors, so we hired Milo Mobile to add their expertise and maintain the project’s velocity that our end customer wanted. We had in-house mobile technical leads, Android and iOS developers, and web developers, but we needed additional support.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Milo Mobile provided staff augmentation, supporting us on a specific project where they consulted on both the iOS and Android apps. We shared the project requirements, and they offered expertise and guidance on the architecture of the mobile app and provided development support using Kotlin for the Android platform. 

What is the team composition?

We worked with three people, including two Android developers and a mobile technical lead, Sam (Founder).

How much have you invested with them?

We spent between $100,000–$250,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with them from around February 2021–February 2022.

How did you come to work with Milo Mobile?

Sam was a former contractor of ours many years ago. When we reached out to him and found out he had this new business, we decided to work together.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Milo Mobile saved us many months of time and helped maintain the speed our end customer wanted. Our end customer's satisfaction definitely increased; we had a very happy customer because we were able to finish the project by their hard deadline.

How did the company perform from a project management standpoint?

Milo Mobile was great; they were very responsive, thorough, proactive, and on top of everything. The team worked remotely and was on time and within the budget. We managed the project, but Sam’s technical leadership, management, and structure were really helpful and kept everyone organized.

We set up our environment via Slack and Atlassian products, like Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket; we invited Milo Mobile onto those platforms to communicate and execute tasks since they were familiar with them. We also communicated via Zoom and email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The code base was of very good quality, and Sam’s technical leadership and interfacing with our own iOS developers added a lot of value. He was wonderful to work with.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, they knocked the project out of the park.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Trust Milo Mobile’s experience and knowledge in the industry and rely on their team’s guidance.
