at the start of the collaboration, the team conducted a thorough audit of our store and flagged a range of improvements — from technical fixes to frontend and backend changes that needed attention. Those were addressed systematically. Since then, the greatest value has been the ongoing partnership itself: quick communication, clear planning, and reliable execution whenever we need it.

MGroup developed a Shopify solution for me with B2B/B2C logic and individual pricing.
As part of the project, two Shopify applications were created. We signed a formal contract with an attached technical specification.
Key features were implemented through a public app developed by MGroup, which was never handed over to me — even though part of the core functionality described in the specification does not work without it.
The contract includes no clauses that would allow such technical solutions to be excluded from transfer.

In my opinion, the project remained incomplete.
The application upon which the store’s operation depends was not delivered to me, although the contract states that everything developed during the project must be transferred.
I remain technically dependent on MGroup’s infrastructure, which contradicts the contract.
Coupon functionality does not work, despite being advertised in the app description.
The logout bug was never fixed.

The project should have been fully completed, including the transfer of all developed solutions as agreed in the contract.
Task estimates should be transparent and properly justified.
Bugs must be fixed on time.
Communication should be respectful and include attempts to find compromise.
Removing the client from communication channels is unacceptable.
Key functionality should not rely on external infrastructure that the client cannot access.
The final product did not meet contractual expectations. Core functionality remains dependent on a proprietary app that was not transferred to me, despite being critical to the project. One major bug (logout) was never fixed. Coupon features were missing, though advertised. In my opinion, the project is incomplete.
After the core project was completed, communication slowed significantly, and follow-up tasks were delayed or not completed at all.
I had to redo or complete multiple tasks myself that were initially overestimated (claimed 10–12 hours, I completed in 2–3). In my opinion, this reflects poor value.
I advise others to be very cautious and to clarify ownership terms in writing before working with them.
I lost trust in the team. Communication became one-sided and unproductive. The most critical application was withheld, and I was removed from the chat without notice. My experience was disappointing and stressful.

They built my site design on Shopify and connected it with all the CMS tools I needed. It included a complex animated experience on landing as well as integration of high quality video playback via Vimeo.

The site is up and running. It functions properly, and the customer is absolutely happy about it. After this website, we’ve had more potential partners and companies reaching out to work with us, so it’s an excellent reference site. Also, Mgroup has been open to our improvement suggestions; they don’t disregard any of our requests.

How did Mgroup perform from a project management standpoint?

We’ve known them for years, and they do a great job. They stick to the timelines and budget. Communications go well; we have a separate Slack channel where they always provide an immediate answer. Also, we’ve agreed on having two calls per week to receive information about the project’s progress. We’ve added them to our Jira and used time-tracking tools, and everything has been excellent.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We like working with them; we see them as colleagues. Together, we’ve created a positive atmosphere between our teams — there are no boundaries between us.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think there’s much to be improved. They’ve found the best ways to make everything work. For example, they have developers who don’t speak English, but they’ve covered these gaps by having great management from their side. Maybe they could improve their developers’ communication skills, but they still work perfectly for us.

Based on the ShipMonk platform, we had set up an online store on our own. However, we quickly noticed that some customers did not complete the sales process after the goods were in the shopping cart. For this reason, we decided to have the online store optimized by MGroup so that it would meet the requirements of the US market.

We researched Shopify specialists on the Internet and came across MGROUP. Of course, we also talked to other providers, but MGROUP convinced us immediately. The agency had set up a clean analysis of our store to discuss already the approaches to solving our problem at our first zoom call. That was more than professional!

We had a kick-off meeting to discuss our goals and objectives. From there, the team delivered mock-ups and wireframes for our site, which we approved. After a few iterations, their team designed and developed the new Shopify site, incorporating a contact form and payment processing feature.

Our project manager, Irina, was our primary contact throughout the process, which we appreciated a lot! Not only that she is more than professional; she also convinced us with her open and friendly nature and always worked for the best solution. After launching our site, we quickly realized increased traffic, and our sales doubled after a short period. Customers love the updated design. The product pages are easier to navigate, and users have diverse options to pay.

We had daily stand-ups with our project manager, Irina, who communicated with the rest of the team. If there were any delays, they let us know ahead of time so that we could prepare ourselves – which rarely happened. MGROUP used Slack, Jira, and GitHub to coordinate communication. In Pat's and my eyes, the cooperation was fantastic!

MGROUP had a lot of experience in building robust e-commerce websites. The very dedicated team showed us how to best use Shopify and especially our project manager, Irina, was more than responsive to our needs.

There is nothing really to improve in our opinion. Initially, we had coordination difficulties because we were traveling in 3 time zones. But even here, MGROUP reacted immediately in the most positive way. Their flexibility, high commitment and punctual, reliable manner are unbeatable.

We found them through reviewing companies with Shopify experience. As I am a personal designer, the main point was a visual match with designs. So I check all websites they have done in past and was impressed by the quality.

We worked on different projects in the past years. Mostly it was the Shopify development. And on some projects we required custom solutions for Shopify, for example, custom order form, created using React technology. The process and communication were very simple and I love it! Once we sign off designs with the client, we estimated budgets and timelines with the Mgroup. Then move everything to development. After they finish the process and did internal QA, they send it for our review, which was not so huge, as they delivering a very quality product.

The Blocksport maintenance project started in October 2019, and the Focuz.gg project started in the summer of 2020. We’ve had a live prototype since May 2020, but we stopped it and rebuilt the design. It’s been live since September 2020. MGroup is continuing to provide maintenance.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I’m fully satisfied with MGroup’s work and with the platform itself.

How did MGroup perform from a project management standpoint?

We haven’t had any issues. They’ve delivered on time or early. We used spreadsheets to track the work, with no tools like Jira or Asana.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They offer a really good price-to-quality balance delivered completely on time.

Are there any areas they could improve?

MGroup has delivered on time and everything’s good, but we could have a bit more communication. I can’t complain. They’re not a big company, but they’re good at what they do. MGroup just needs to keep progressing and get more clients and reviews.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Everything’s been good, so I have nothing to add.
