Peace of Mind provides a mindfulness-based conflict resolution and SEL curriculum for students from Pre-K to High School.

• Peace of Mind partnered with Metamer Studios to adapt the popular children’s book Marleigh is Mindful, written by Linda Ryden and illustrated by Linda Ryden & Gigi Gonyea, into an animated series with a total of ten, 2-4 minute episodic installments and two trailers.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

Metamer Studios used character and scene illustrations found in the Marleigh is Mindful children's book to bring the story to life through animation. Metamer helped to shape vision for the series content in video, broke down and rigged 20+ illustrated characters, designed backgrounds and items to supplement existing illustrations, animated and edited 10 total series episodes including character animation, intro/outro development, design, and animation, musical accompaniment, and more. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

After we posted the videos created by Metamer the traffic to our YouTube increased dramatically. We were able to use these videos to supplement our curriculum, for training purposes and for marketing purposes. The videos have become Peace of Mind's "calling card" and greatly increased our perceived professionalism in the field. 

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

The team at Metamer is outstanding. Every single interaction we had - and we had a lot - was wonderful. The team was always very well-prepared, open to feedback, collaborative, patient, encouraging and kind. As the creator of the material - books and characters - that they were bringing to life through animation it was so meaningful to work with people who were respectful of my work and really committed to making it better. The Metamer Studios team became true members of the Peace of Mind family and felt every bit as committed to our mission of creating a more peaceful world for our children as we are. At the end of every single meeting we had with Metamer I would always say "that was the best meeting I've had all week!" and it was always true. I'm so grateful for the kindness of the Metamer team and for the part they played, and hopefully will play in the future, of bringing our message to the children and their teachers who need it more than ever. What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I haven't had a lot of experience with video production companies but I will say that I wasn't expecting the level of engagement with our work and our mission that we experienced with Metamer. I truly felt that they were deeply committed to our mission of helping kids develop skills to help them face challenges in their own lives and challenges facing our world with kindness, courage and compassion. Members of the team even attended our Peace of Mind fundraising events which was way above and beyond. They became true members of our Peace of Mind family. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something Metamer Studios could have done differently?

I can't think of a single thing. We were all completely satisfied with their work in every way. If somebody were to donate a million dollars to Peace of Mind right now a big portion of that money would go to hiring Metamer to make more videos with us. I wouldn't hesitate for a second to work with them again.

Interview a client of ours over a video call, capture the recording, perform video-editting by combinging various design assets with the live video, incorporate sound design, and produce a final video.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The goal of the video is to enhance our reputation when prospects discover us online. We also use the video on several places on our website to influence our audience. Link to the video testimonial is also included in our sales proposals or when clients ask for examples of our work. I have been told anecdotally several times when prospects have reviewed the video ahead of meeting with us, and it's created a very strong, positive impression of our company.

Metamer took in all our inputs, communicated promptly, and delivered a polished, high-quality product. What stood out most was the overall experience. Metamer made our client feel special. The whole process felt high-touch and elevated.

Rachael, our producer, handled everything behind the scene with thoughtfulness and care. She prepped our client in advance with clear, professional guidance on lighting, background and tech setup, which made the whole process smooth. 
During editing and rounds of iteration, the team took my feedback well and delivered a great product aligned with our needs. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something Metamer Studios could have done differently?

I was satisfied with the work. In general, when agencies understand their client's business more (and their end-goals more), they increase odds of success for their clients.
