Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

Deliverables were delayed all the time, it seemed that the company allocated only one developer to deliver market-ready and high quality product. However, dozens of bugs and issues were not fixed by default (but had to be... otherwise QA works have to be out of scope and invoice), and were not fixed in 4 months period. However, the game looks like a template with inserted content (not sure even if it's unique. Response of team was always delayed, slow, and nothing worked as it has to work where the company is focused on delivery quality or at least sometimes thinks about it. The project looks like a 2-week job, although it took exactly 12 months, with an allocated budget for each step of development. External auditors are shocked after doing review of this so called one year work.  Due to this fact, I have no reasons to avoid calling it a true fraud with misleading of the clients and we are happy to move out of any relationships with them. Hoping that this review will be helpful for those who are thinking of taking decisions.

Before starting the architecture development, the team carefully reviewed a number of references to make sure everything was tailor-made for our needs. They made several conceptual designs, from which we picked the best to go with. The thing I liked is that they had something like a ready solution, which they customized in such a way that it would meet all our needs. During the process, they would recommend more practical and effective solutions than what we originally had planned.

Communication with the manager was easy and clear. The manager constantly informed us about the progress of the team, so we never thought that something was wrong. All other problems were resolved in due time, too, thanks to the manager.

We hired MetaLamp as a part of a project we couldn’t handle. Our team closed the backend side of the project, but the end client needed smart contracts linked to the platform.

We had a discovery phase where we identified the end client’s needs. Some documentation was provided, but it was high-level and tackled the platform concept. Ultimately, our team used MetaLamp’s help to work on the project's technical details. Together, we built the platform from scratch. 

For features, the deliverable was a fintech platform. The MetaLamp team was responsible for creating smart contracts for it. End users could get loans and scores based on these smart contracts. The platform was 100% built on Solidity.

MetaLamp developed everything the client wanted and worked well — there were no critical bugs. 

It was crucial for us to have a trustworthy partner, and we relied on them for pricing, scope, and timing. They worked efficiently on these things, successfully completing the project’s scope and handling strict deadlines. They even saved the end client some money. Simply put, we had a great partnership. 

How did MetaLamp perform from a project management standpoint?

They stayed on budget, and their project management perfectly fit the end client's preferences. There were some differences between the client’s and MetaLamp’s working hours, but they handled it perfectly. Their communication, change request process, and feedback process were crystal clear. Besides their coding skills, this was the best part of working with them. 

In terms of tools, we mainly used Asana for management. For communication, we used a hybrid between Slack and Zoom calls.

Their communication was straightforward, plus they had transparent pricing. We received proposals from other vendors, but they weren’t good at explaining what was hidden behind their pricing. Meanwhile, MetaLamp provided all the necessary details, and everything seemed logical.

Project manager that have been really helpful, along with a genuine smart developer. MetaLamp project manager have also been very helpful in finding answers to several of our questions and reaching out to other people within their organization.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

MetaLamp's understanding of our project have been spot on, and they have managed to successfully deliver code continuously for the past 6 months. We still have a lot to develop, but their work is just excellent.

We had daily standups in the start to align everyone properly. Now the developers take their own initiative and have meetings when needed over solutions that needs co-development or answers. Every developer reports through Jira, bitbucket and use Discord daily in our communication.

100% trust - both ways. They also understood what we where trying to build very fast, even though our solution is somewhat intricate.
