I’m the IT systems administrator for a church community focused on authentic Christianity. We offer heartfelt worship, biblical teaching, and a welcoming environment to help people experience Jesus and God’s grace in a fresh way.

What specific goals or objectives did you hire Merit Technologies to accomplish for your business?

We needed assistance with IT services and support. We also needed higher-level support than what was currently available to us with our in-house team.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Merit Technologies has learned about our environment and made recommendations about our hardware needs. They’ve also assisted us in putting in procedures and practices. Since they’ve been our primary vendor for over a decade, it’s difficult to remember what they initially assisted us with, but it was focused on servers, domains, and networking.

What is the team composition?

We have worked with several different team members over the years. We currently work with about 3 to 4 of their team members currently who fill different needs for us from CIO consulting, to network support and configuration to help desk issues.

How did you come to work with Merit Technologies?

Someone referred Merit Technologies to us. We chose them over other options because they were close to our geographic location, had a great culture fit, and their company values aligned with ours.

How much have you invested with them?

Thousands and thousands of $$ over the years. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in January 2012, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Merit Technologies has done a good job of staying in touch and meeting our needs. Thanks to their work, we have a stronger network infrastructure and reduced downtime. Since our network has greatly expanded while they’ve been our partner, it’s hard to estimate the improvement. However, we can say that our network has continued to be stable through our transitions. Moreover, our user satisfaction has always been high, and their incident response times have been solid.

How did Merit Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

They deliver on time and have been proactive in helping us complete projects. We communicate via in-person meetings, virtual meetings, and email or messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Merit Technologies’ team is technically competent and efficient. They’re also easy to work with and have a desire to teach. We view them as partners, not vendors.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There have been some challenges from time to time, but we’ve addressed those issues as they come up, and they were proactive to address those both internally and with us and we were able to move forward in a better position than when we started. It would be unrealistic to have this important a relationship with a company without any issues. We are grateful that Merit has always been responsive to our concerns and eager to serve us in the process.

I’m a customer service and logistics representative at ChemStone, Inc., a chemical technology company that develops and supplies proprietary chemicals to increase efficiency in the manufacturing of wood pulp.

My VPN needed to be reset.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Merit Technologies functions as our IT department. They keep our servers up and running and help all of our users on a day-to-day basis with specific hardware and software issues. For this particular project, Merit Technologies reset my VPN.

I worked with one teammate from Merit Technologies.

How did you come to work with Merit Technologies?

My company was already working with Merit Technologies when I started working here.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked on this project in September 2026.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Merit Technologies reset my VPN, and I was able to resume work. The issue was resolved within five minutes of calling them, and it was a permanent fix.

How did Merit Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

Merit Technologies delivered an immediate resolution. We communicated via telephone.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was impressed by Merit Technologies’ professionalism, friendliness, and knowledge of the subject matter.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing Merit Technologies could have done better. Their service was perfect.

Merit Technologies helps us with our POS system and any IT issues that may happen, including printing and internet issues. For example, our POS system went down due to a VPN issue, and Merit Technologies fixed it within an hour.

We started working with Merit Technologies in August 2024, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Merit Technologies has been able to show progress all the time. For example, when we first started working with them, we had major internet issues. Merit Technologies has fixed them, and now we have fewer outages and faster speeds.

Merit Technologies always delivers on time. We communicate via email and messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Merit Technologies is easy to work with and responds quickly. I deal with one main tech, so we get to know and understand each other.

I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

• IT traffic, caused by employee emails to our internal IT team, has been greatly reduced and Merit has done an exceptional job handling all inquiries. 
• Merit is very quick to reply and resolve all issues. The response time is very impressive.

The team consistently hits the mark in fixing IT related issues in a very timely manner.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I've worked with several employees at Merit in the time that they've been helping out our team and each one is knowledgable in a wide array of IT related fields. Regardless of the issue, there is no hesitation in how it can be resolved.

There are no areas, in which I've seen, that need to be improved upon.

Little to no disruption of workflow and increase speed and functionality of the VPN.

The timeline for installation was met including doing some work afterhours. Any post-installation issues were dealt with quickly.

After the switches were installed an engineer was onsite the next morning at opening to ensure there were no issues with the network or users of the network.

There were some residual issues after installation but nothing that was not expected for a project of this type.
