BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the founder of a multi-discipline design company, based in Edinburgh. As Creative Director I design and run design projects with external contractors to fulfil client project requirements

For what projects/services did your company hire Media Surgery, and what were your goals?

Media Surgery were employed to supplement the internal design team. They were required to help with front end designs and build out the Craft CMS backend to service the clients needs. The goals were to implement the desired solution on time and on budget.

Media Surgery were already known to us.

Media Surgery were brought in after the wireframes and initial design was complete. Their inclusion to making sure our designs would work in a practical sense, online was critical, especially with the mobile version of the clients website.

Third party widgets and apps had to be included and tested prior to going live, making sure the complete presentation to the user was both aesthetically pleasing, friendly and overall giving the user experience the desired journey towards the sale of any given product.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

After relaunching the client's website we say an 40% uptake of direct purchases from the site. The client was happy with that and delighted with the ongoing customer service.

We had frequent online discussions with John and kept delivery milestones and schedules on track with the help of Basecamp.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The timeliness of work and customer service were both outstanding. The honesty and approach by Media Surgery give much credit.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Perhaps a greater knowledge of some third-party specialists, experienced in complex back-end deliverables.
