Maven Enterprise

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the director of Twentyone8 Solutions Ltd., an IT company that designs and develops user interfaces.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Maven Enterprise?

We needed help setting up and maintaining our backend architecture. We also needed help processing data in preparation for data analysis.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Maven Enterprise manages the backend resources for our project. Because of their familiarity with the project, they’ve also taken over other coding tasks, including all the data preprocessing for the project. They’ve also begun running analysis on the data.

Regarding the backend resources, the project uses various AWS resources for a serverless pipeline that allows a user to extract data from a third-party website, process it, and prepare it for analysis.

What is the team composition?

We work with 2–5 teammates from Maven Enterprise.

How did you come to work with Maven Enterprise?

Someone referred Maven Enterprise to me, and they already had experience suited for the project.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Maven Enterprise in November 2024, and our engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Maven Enterprise has successfully set up the pipeline for users to download their data, which is then processed in preparation for analysis. The pipeline also automatically updates various key pieces of data that aren’t user-specific but are required for analysis.

Moreover, Maven Enterprise has recommended and implemented several important improvements to existing workflows. The pipeline is now more robust, and several key actions have been successfully automated at Maven Enterprise's recommendation. The preprocessing code has also been cleaned up, resulting in fewer errors and code maintenance issues. The collected data is now better organised. So far, I estimate that the improvements save us approximately 20 hours of work per month.

How did Maven Enterprise perform from a project management standpoint?

Maven Enterprise has been very reliable and always delivers on time and on specs. We communicate via email and messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Maven Enterprise's lead developer has an excellent understanding of the project requirements. He’s also very quick to grasp key aspects that are unique to the project. He shows initiative and makes excellent suggestions and recommendations.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I really don’t think there’s anything they can improve on.
