I work for a creative agency out of Atlanta, GA. I am the director of project management and also manage the creative and dev teams.

Projects / Services: Custom WordPress and php development with custom desktop and mobile designs provided. Our goals were to provide our clients with a beautifully developed site that is developmentally sound and matches every pixel of approved client designs.

My company researched companies that specialize in building out pixel perfect designs in WordPress and Fruitful code came highly recommended. Our deciding factors were based on how well they performed on past projects, development quality and having someone dedicated for project updates and keeping us on time.

Custom WordPress and php development. The scope could call for developing designs from scratch or fixing a bug on an existing site. Fruitful code has even developed custom plugins for us when no existing plugins would do the job.

Typically, a dedicated project manager or two and they would manage their design / dev teams so we do not have to.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Fruitful Code has developed award-winning sites for us that have reduced bounce rates, increased click-throughs, and above all has made our clients extremely happy resulting in repeat business.

Fruitful Code was able to adapt to our project management app which made it easier for my team to not have to work in two different systems. This has been a really efficient process for us.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their responsiveness and knowledge of WordPress and PHP. Their friendly staff and quality of work impressed us.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There are always ways to approve process and I feel that Fruitful Code will always own it if a mistake was made or if the process was not followed (which was always rare). We held retros and were always on the same page with the next steps and areas to improve on.

We worked with 3 people since the beginning of the relationship. The operations manager, the project manager, and developer.

The deliverables are always excellent. Communication is usually a step above any other web developer we've used. They are a little more expensive than others but their quality is excellent.

Communication is good. Deadlines are usually met. Again, they tend to be a step above other providers which means their internal management keeps their devs on deadline. We appreciate this very much.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are a full-service WordPress development shop. They design and develop really well.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We tend to find they are about twice as expensive as other shops. They do take more hours to complete projects than other developers but again, the quality exceeds the other developers more consistently.

If you're needing a team who is going to get it right then hire fruitful. You won't have to worry about the quality or delivery.

I’m the founder of Things to Do in Amsterdam. We are a website, guiding visitors that come to Amsterdam.

We needed our website rebuilt.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They rebuilt our website with WordPress. There are actually two websites, one containing the booking platform that allows us to collaborate with partners such as bowling alleys, boating companies, and more.
We’ve integrated APIs into our workshop, allowing us to get QR codes for tickets and attractions.

We have worked with two different project managers, Ruslan (Chief Commercial Officer) and Anna (CFO).

How did you come to work with Fruitful Code?

We were looking for a new partner. They had competitive prices and looked to be a good fit.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent €12,000 (approximately $15,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in August 2019, and it’s an ongoing relationship.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Everything is functioning well on the website. We are happy with it.

How did Fruitful Code perform from a project management standpoint?

Everything was clear for us regarding timeline and delivery. There are always changes in projects, but they communicated well. We use Google Docs for project management and communicate via Skype.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We had a lot of fun working together and collaborated well. Even though they work remotely, we feel like we really know them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It took some time to get to know the new project manager when they changed, but things like that happen.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

It’s important to understand the goal of the project. The more specific you are with that, the better the outcome.

For what projects/services did your company hire Fruitful Code, and what were your goals?

As we are always seeking for web dev companies who helps us transforming our creative ideas and deigns into high quality code we found Fruitful Code. We expected a 1:1 execution of our UI/UX design.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We found Fruitful on upwork and did some smaller test projects to see how and how fast they perform and how good their standards are. Fruitful absolutely convinced us with their client service, speed and quality of work.

The scope was about setting up and code a customized Wordpress Page for a real estate project. The design was delivered by us, the rest was up to Fruitful including dev stage and so on. From the brief it took 1 day for the Proposal which was absolutely fair. The milestones were planned by fruitful regarding our very short deadline.

After initial setup of the design we did some iterations together regarding smaller design details and technology for e.g. integration of 360° pictures. Every iteration was executed well and in time.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We worked with one responsible Fruitful Manger taking care of all our needs and leading his Dev team. That made the process very lean and reduced complexity.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

As we don't measure KPIs on this project, I can share in gerneral my positive feedback towards Fruitful's client service management, the problem solving suggestions during the project and the perfect speed/quality ratio.

Open and clear communication during the whole projects starting with expectation management over professional evaluation on our »extra wishes« to milestones and the suggestions of alternative options within given timeframes.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

As we are a 100% remote company we looked up for a company who fits our needs, understands our high quality approach and delivers as promised. Everything above were absolutely fulfilled.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

They over-delivered as expected e.g. from german companies so I am very happy with their performance.

I'm the co-founder of PropertyMatcher, a real estate website for clients or agents looking for properties to purchase or rent, both residential and commercial.

What challenge were you trying to address with Fruitful Code?

We wanted to develop a WordPress platform that could serve as a marketplace. We needed the skills to be able to take our vision and create a highly-crafted platform from it.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Fruitful Code built, executed, and continues to manage our WordPress platform. We provided wireframes and they developed some as well. I shared documentation, and they made some adjustments and updated it. They’re continuously working on new projects for the platform.

What is the team composition?

I’ve been in contact with the head of projects as well as two project managers. I’m not sure how many developers were engaged but the support was always enough.

How did you come to work with Fruitful Code?

I needed a company that could work with WordPress to translate what I needed into a reality. I looked for a company that was based out of South Africa but, at the end of the day, the most important thing was the budget. I don’t think I would have been able to get the amount of work I've received from them from anywhere else, even locally.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent about $65,000 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in February 2017, and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The value for money and the quality of work are absolutely exceptional. They've delivered above and beyond on what we needed to achieve. I couldn’t have picked a better company to work with.

How did Fruitful Code perform from a project management standpoint?

They achieved everything within the budget and timelines. They respond daily. Work is completed almost immediately. I never have to wait or to remind them of what they need to do. Their project plans and timelines are generally accurate, and they often finish more quickly. Sometimes I need additional things, but those were out of their initial scope. Everything within scope was 100% accurate and sometimes even completed before deadlines. I fully rely on them.

The approach has been highly consultative. They don’t just complete the requests we make: they come back to us with feedback or suggest better solutions backed up by research they’ve done. They constantly update me. They’ve been highly engaged, and we've grown accustomed to working together. It’s as if they’re part of our company.

What did you find most impressive about them?

From the initial communication through the completion of a project, they've been able to deliver a product or functionality that works according to what we need even though they work at a distance. Their capacity to take an idea or scope, and transform it into a final product is impressive.

I'm happy with what they're done.
