Please describe your company and your position there.

Manager of a franchise health coaching company expanding to the Charleston area. We focus on individualized health and wellness coaching. Key responsibilities were business development, membership sales, marketing and operations.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Matchstick Social, and what were your goals?

Profile was newly expanding to the South East so we tasked them with working on brand awareness, market research as well as a sales campaign prior to opening and through the first year. We tasked Matchstick in assisting us with lead generation for consumer to business as well as business to business. Due to the nature of the lead source they worked on separate campaigns to drive traffic to our sales team utilizing multiple marketing platforms.

They also worked to build the vision of our health coaching process and community prior to our opening using both corporate content and organic content from our team and theirs. As a result of their efforts and lead generation we were able to have a very successful grand opening along with having corporate partnerships established prior to opening.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Researched multiple local options as well as looked into the corporate option. Matchstick social had a great vision that matched what we were look for to grow and expand our business.

 Social media content development and advertising on Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram, monthly reporting, ongoing optimization and analysis.

Main POC was Matchstick's Partner, Rachel Davis, with Senior Content Strategist, Nicole Geer as support. 

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We were able to come within 15% of our goal for memberships prior to starting. After reaching out to other franchise locations and hearing their starting numbers we were extremely lucky to have these results. Our lead to conversion percentage was extremely high as well, we knew we were getting the right leads based on the marketing efforts.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Great, they set expectations upfront with communication flows and were available for questions throughout the process. As our vision and understanding of the companies needs changed they were able to pivot and realign. Since this was a new venture we were taking on it really helped to be able to collaborate with Rachel and Amber their creativity and accurate date were invaluable during that time.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

How dynamic and smart the team was. Admittedly we were still learning the brand as we started and the Matchstick team was there with us supporting us through that. They really understood who our customer was and how to best reach them. The business leads we received from their marketing efforts were ones that truly helped us in our first year.

Thinking back on that time we were luck to have a team that was just as invested in our success as we were. The personal touch made a huge difference and I can't imagine not having them during that crucial time.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

They were truly great, I really don't have anything that we would have changed.

I’m a franchise store owner of two bridal gown retail store, and we sell wedding dresses in Charleston and Atlanta.

What challenge were you trying to address with Matchstick Social?

Matchstick Social is helping me with advertising and social media marketing.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

I have Matchstick Social managing my Instagram account, Facebook account, and they’re running ad services through those platforms. Since I’m part of a franchise, we aren’t able to connect the money spent with the actual revenue because the website is managed externally.
Moreover, what they basically do is help me promote my events such as trunk show sales during the COVID-19 pandemic, and they keep lines of communication with customers open.

They initially did a full discovery for me on both my markets, and did a lot of competitors research to figure what works and what doesn’t — they brought that all to the table for me. While they didn’t do any branding or logo design, they did help me with my content, as far as having a unique voice for my market.

What is the team composition?

I work with Nicole (Account Analyst), Rachel (Partner), and Amber (Founder & Partner).

How did you come to work with Matchstick Social?

I wanted to use a local Charleston company, and I was recommended by a friend who knows Rachel and Amber. The reason why I hired Matchstick is that this kind of service isn’t something I’m particularly good at. I don’t want to spend a whole lot of time doing it, so they’re a very strong team that took the responsibility off my plate.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started communicating with them in January 2019, and our partnership is still ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Rachel had sent over some reports that signified the cost per click of the effectiveness of their campaigns versus the franchises that I independently ran — their campaigns were way more effective from a cost and engagement perspective.

How did Matchstick Social perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re great and that’s part of why I work with them. They’re super professional and their reports are really thorough, so I rely on Rachel to go through the budget and the numbers. They present me with their findings to let me know if we’re on track and how the money is being allocated, as well as the performance of the team member.

We typically communicate through email, and at this point, we’re very familiar with each other already, so we also text back and forth.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I would say, we’re very impressed with their professionalism.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I would say to really let them do their thing, give them guidance on what you want, and let them be creative. I enjoy working with them so much because they take a lot off my plate, and they always do a great job for me since I let them excel in what they do rather than micromanage them.
