Personally, a website should be easy and informative, so I asked them to focus on those two points so I can broadcast all my products.

We were impressed with the final professional touches to the design of the logo — I couldn’t take my eyes off it. Moreover, we liked the fact that they made additional improvements to the website even though I didn’t ask them to do it.

I wanted to have a new website and a new design for my logo.

What was the scope of their involvement?

MJ Design Center provides branding and design services for us. He sent me a form to fill out before we started. There were two pages of questions on what I wanted, how long I’ve been working, what my colors are, etc. He also asked me questions about my company.

After that, the team took two weeks and came up with a couple of suggestions for the logo and the design. We went over those designs and made some adjustments. I was very satisfied and told him that’s exactly what I was looking for.

MJ Design Center is still helping me. I changed my services and brought in new treatments and products and needed their help with updating the website.

I had one point of contact at MJ Design Center and was very satisfied with that. It worked perfectly for me since I didn’t have to explain things over and over again.

I have a friend who also has a salon and worked with MJ Design Center and recommended him to me. I looked at his website and saw his previous work. Then, I contacted him and told him I wanted a more professional logo for our company and our Instagram and Facebook and a new website. After I explained what I was looking for, he agreed to help me.

I had an idea of how I wanted my logo to look but I couldn’t picture the final design. MJ Design Center translated my idea perfectly. It's like they read my mind. 

Before working with them, I had no Instagram following and we now have over 250 followers. People tell me I have such a beautiful website and always ask me who built it. They even added the color of my studio to the website design, everyone notices that. They help increase the number of people we get through the door.

We communicated via telephone. It took a couple of days to hear back sometimes, but they call me and we set a meeting. They send a link to where I could go see the website before it was completely finished.

What did you find most impressive about them?

MJ Design Center's work stands out. They use bright designs and colors that aren't as common here in Sweden, so it really pops.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, everything has been great.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

The price was a little too high initially but once he was finished, I saw that the results were worth it. Along the way, I didn’t think about the price. He’s very professional. He will keep you updated on how much he has done and how the work is progressing.

I am the founder and general manager for Technobuild, a special construction service. We provide a construction chemical solution.

The company is based in Baghdad, and we are partners with well-known companies and represent one of the biggest Italian companies specializing in construction chemicals, along with two other brands that are from Greece and Italy.

I was looking for local companies to create a logo and work on branding, but I couldn’t find anyone who could translate my image and opinion, so I hired MJ Design Center.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We selected them to create our brand, build our visual identity, complete the printing, check the colors, font, and put our branding strategy together. We started from scratch with them and spent more than 5–6 months completing the work. 

We began with the name and spent around one month creating the logo — they produced many sketches for it. We worked on it step by step until we got the final results for the logo and after that, we moved onto branding work.

I’m always in contact with one person from MJ Design Center. I’m very involved with their team based on my past experience with graphic design.

I’d been following MJ Design Center on Instagram for a long time and had seen their previous work. I checked some of the work they did for construction companies and I felt their work and concept matched my thoughts and ideas.

We started working with them in June 2020, during COVID-19. Though 80% of the work has been delivered, there are small things being worked on so our engagement is still ongoing.

We’re also discussing whether they’ll work remotely with us for our social media design, general catalog, and flyers — we’re looking to continue working together.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

From the beginning of this year, we started to launch our new brand, colors, and business cards for employees, and we have seen some positive feedback from our clients regarding the image. My experience with them has been very good which is why we will be renewing the contract with them for the website design. 

How did MJ Design Center perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re very flexible, and the communication between our teams is very good. They listen to our ideas and make proposals based on them. We mainly communicate by email or WhatsApp. All official parts of the work are done via email.

Another positive thing is that some of their team speaks Arabic, so the communication has been very easy, and for that reason, we have used WhatsApp frequently for discussions.

Their communication skills and flexibility stand out — they’re very respectful of delivery dates. Everything has gone well. They provide whatever we need as clients.

No, there’s nothing.

I have recommended them to two of my friends so far, one of which is a startup project and the other is a restaurant that needs rebranding. I suggested MJ Design Center to them because I have seen that they are a professional team that’s easy to work with. They know what you need and they can translate what is in your mind.

When I first contacted MJ Design Center, I wanted to develop a logo that would represent my brand.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They gathered a lot of information from us. I provided them with examples of logos I liked, and they researched other brands in our industry. From there, they started sketching some ideas. After that, they digitized the designs. In total, they provided ten sketches, three logo proposals, and one final product.

How did you come to work with MJ Design Center?

I had a hard time finding a professional team. There were a lot of teams who took several days to respond and their development wasn’t very good. Then I found an Instagram account that shared a lot of designs and one really stood out to me. I checked who created it and found MJ Design Center.

After I messaged them, they responded in just a few hours. Then they called me, sent me images, and sent me forms so they had all of the information they needed before starting the project.

I spent about $600.

The project lasted from November–December 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Everyone who has seen the logo has been amazed. Now that we have the company’s image, we have a lot of potential. We could definitely tell how much they valued our partnership.  

How did MJ Design Center perform from a project management standpoint?

They outlined the project schedule and delivered in less than three weeks. I was a little hesitant at first, but they walked me through the project and answered all my questions.

I appreciated that they took the time to explain everything to me. Every time they delivered a sketch, I asked if it would still be relevant in a few years. We wanted to make sure the final product was timeless and could keep up with an evolving industry. They were very attentive and listened to our needs.

At the beginning of the project, we communicated via email. Then we started having WhatsApp calls every few days.

Their customer service and quality of work distinguish them from other providers. They were very accessible and committed to delivering exactly what we wanted.

They could offer a more expansive package. But I didn’t know exactly what I wanted going into the project and would have liked a few more proposals and sketches.

In the process of creating this new business, I started looking at logo and web design. I wanted a clean and professional look that wasn’t what you’d typically see from self-customizable sites.

What was the scope of their involvement?

I wanted to start by having a unique logo for my company. MJ Design Center gave me the pricing details on the logo and website package. I was really impressed with what they had done for me at this point and started suggesting more things to improve my brand.

I provided them with all the information they needed, and they gave me an outline or scope of the work that they’re going to be doing for my company.

We worked together on a payment plan, and since I’m a startup, the money was coming from my own pockets. They’ve added things here and there, and I consult with them whenever I have any concerns or questions.

I found MJ on Instagram, and right away I was amazed by his designs. Like I said, it wasn’t the usual designs you see from other websites. The logos and the color schemes he uses are very professional, so they caught my eye.

The partnership started in August 2020, and they’ve been my main marketing partner ever since.

My Facebook is still in the beginning stages, so I can’t show any metrics as of the moment. But you can look up my designs on his website and Instagram where people have seen and interacted with them. So that’s basically the only statistics I have right now.

In terms of quality, he’s done an excellent job in everything. I’ve been very satisfied with his work. He is also mentoring me because he has his own business. In a way, it’s interesting that we can share certain areas of expertise, and it’s been really good.

How did MJ Design Center perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate through WhatsApp and Gmail.

What did you find most impressive about them?

He was the first one I approached, so I can’t really compare him to other providers. But I can say that I like his uniqueness and how he always listens. He’s just a really creative person and he always shows me his ideas.

Speaking entirely from my experience, he’s been great. He’s approachable and responsive. I don’t really have any complaints.

The advice I would give is to just know what you really want to do. Be prepared to invest in your business because branding is important. I love what he’s done so far and everything came out really nice and professional.

Markflow, with input from and collaboration with the team and me, designed and built the initial nCommon.com website. The site included forms for visitors to sign up for more information and to join the beta program. Markflow integrated the forms with Slack and email using Zapier. 
Markflow also led led the product UX, working closely with the product and engineering team.
