Firstly, we hired Marketing Link for SEO and PPC in 2017. After that, we took a pause and handled digital marketing in-house. Since July 2018, we returned to PPC but took a brief pause in spring 2022. The Marketing Link did an amazing job for us, starting with choosing the right keywords. They used various sources, including previous campaigns, Google Ads search terms, Keyword Planner, SerpStat data, and competitor insights. They organized these keywords with the Key Collector tool and separated out the negatives.
For our Google Ads, they implemented a smart approach by mixing exact and broad match types for each keyword group. They also cleaned up by removing keywords with low search volume from the past year and crafted a comprehensive list of negative keywords from the last two years’ search terms.
Unlike before, where a single Google Display Network campaign ran without specific targeting, the agency launched several new campaigns. These targeted various combinations of keywords, placements (excluding apps and YouTube), demographics (like age and income for pricier tours), topics, remarketing efforts, and even video campaigns. They found the best success with a strategy that combined keywords and lookalike audiences based on people interested in our offerings, like those looking for Dominican Republic Tours, which was aligned with the audience's interests from the SilpoVoyage, a top tour agency’s website.
Their detailed and thoughtful approach significantly outperformed the simpler tactics we'd seen before.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.
The stage #1 was to audit the account and suggest changes to improve the performance. After conversation with Mykola, I got that we are on the right hands. They did awesome job and shown how increase +20% leads with the same budget. Comparing Jan 2024 vs Jan 2023 — we got much +147% leads (contact forms from our website) and our CPL decreases for 70%.

We decided for the first 6 months to keep the same Ad budget. We have HubSpot CRM, so for sure know how much and from where leads were. Also, we used to have Call Rail, here counting just forms from the website. Jan, 2023 — X leads; Feb, 2023 — X + 21% leads; Jan, 2024 — X + 147% leads. Firstly, we planned to scale the budget, but it turned out that we can even keep the same and have more.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Marketing Link could have done differently?
They don’t do Web Development. We had to find a separate developer. But it is not a minus, everyone should focus, and accomplish where they are good at, and they are Paid Ads Pro.

We hired Marketing Link for Google Ads management for our two tattoo studios in Prague, Czech Republic, and Berlin, Germany. We also advertised tattoo master classes in the USA. This was starting from scratch—we didn't have Ads accounts or previous experience with Google Ads in these markets. Marketing Link handled Czech and German languages. Cooperation with Marketing Link took our leads to a new level. Now, we're planning to collaborate on our new project with them.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We began with no prior setup and a limited budget because our goal was to test the Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) and assess the website's performance. For instance, when we compare the outcomes from the third month to the ninth month of our collaboration, we observed a 600% increase in our results, achieving an impressive Cost Per Lead (CPL) of $16.51 in Prague and €15.47 in Berlin. Their expertise in Google Ads is undeniable. I highly recommend partnering with them.

They work with Google Ads and make use of Google services in their work. All reports are shared in Google Docs, and technical details are provided in Google Sheets. Communication was through Telegram, and we held meetings on Google Meet. They fulfilled all their promises.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The most impressive aspect was the transparent process. For example, when we wanted to sell coaching masterclasses in the US, they estimated the number of search queries and, looking at the competition, predicted that this market would be hard to profit from. So, we tried it and simultaneously focused on salon lead generation to be able to relaunch in the future.
Not everything we wanted to do was profitable from the start; some services took 3-4 months to get on track, but it was amazing where we ended up in our ninth month of cooperation. It's nice that they have a representative in Germany and an office in the United States.
Are there any areas for improvement or something Marketing Link could have done differently?
Nothing to add. They even helped us with website changes and CRO without selling it as a separate service.
