RESULTS & FEEDBACK

How did your relationship with the vendor evolve?

They promised deliverables to us that they didn't complete, and we realized that they gave me fake updates 2–3 months into the process. Moreover, their team said they'd focus on 30 keywords but just did one, and still couldn't achieve our goals because we didn't notice any movement in our rankings. Overall, we felt that the partnership between them and me wasn't meant to be.

We lost time and money working with them. In addition, I couldn't launch my product because I didn't have the brand awareness increase I was looking for with this engagement.

How was project management handled?

We consider that the project's lack of success was due to the team composition and the lack of interest of their backend team. Regarding communication and tools, we used email and their website's dashboard.

Is there anything that the vendor did well or that you would consider a strength?

I know they're a big company, and I'm sure that other team members could've done a better job. My main point of contact was friendly, and it seemed like she was trying her best to help me find a resolution.

In what specific areas can they improve?

They should work on their communication, and I felt they were dishonest.

Do your research on who you will work with and the teammates they assign to you.

We are sorry to hear about your experience and want to clarify any of your questions or frustration. After looking into your account, we found that you were a client with us for a total of two months. Manta communicates from the beginning of every SEO client's campaign that it may take 6-9 months to see your keywords ranking in the top results of search engines, varying on your location and industry. Unfortunately, two months is not enough time for a campaign to build trust and authority with search engines like Google to see significant improvement in your rankings. If given more time, we are confident we would have been able to help improve your placement on SERPs.

Additionally, we want to apologize for the miscommunication about how we target keywords for your campaign. We did target a total of 32 keywords for your campaign, but with SEO, you need to focus on a solid one or two main keywords and pages to really build momentum and movement. This allows us to best optimize and focus on helping those keywords progress. Although we may not be actively targeting halo terms (the 30 additional keywords), as we build authority and trust with Google for your site as a whole, the halo keywords will often see positive rank improvements.

We had a few edits and they completed them quickly and accurately. They had our site up and running quickly, and we improved our online presence by just working with them for a month!

We have a Digital Campaign Success Manager that coordinates all aspects of our account, and she is amazing. We also chatted with two other individuals that were web designers that helped bring our vision to life.

Prior to the pandemic we sold meat products almost exclusively to local restaurants. When all the restaurants shut down, we almost went out of business. We had no customers, because they had no customers. We hired Manta to help us adjust our business model to incorporate the consumer market so we can sell our products directly to the families in our community. We needed a new website that would allow our customers to place orders and we needed it to be ranked on search engines so that our customers can easily find it.

Here in Utah, Manta has a great reputation of helping small businesses. We had heard from one of our sister companies about the services that they provide.

Manta spent a lot of time initially gathering our ideas and creating a roadmap. Then they created an initial design for our website and allowed us to help with the ideation process. Everything was well organized from the planning process, to launching our new website, and eventually to SEO once our website was public." They always kept us in the loop with design mockups and the keyword research process where we decide which words we wanted to rank for on Google and other large search engines.

We had a DCSM (Digital Success Campaign Manager) that interacted with us as a primary contact. A salesperson to help advise us on where our budget would be best spent.

We’ve used Manta for several years now. When the pandemic hit and we had to dramatically adjust our business model, we needed a better way to find customers. We upgraded our SEO and I can credit it with saving our business in the first few months of the pandemic. We started getting more online orders from people locally looking for meat that we could no longer provide to our normal restaurant customers.

The switch to e-commerce was scary, but our SEO campaign helped that side of our business grow and it’s even changed the way we operate. We are grateful for all the success they’ve brought our business. We can’t recommend Manta enough!
