MakeING has helped us create our landing page. Per our request, they’ve added 3D elements to our site, and they’ve also designed it to show our information and services in a well-laid-out format. Additionally, the site includes a lot of other custom elements implemented by their team.

Although the first phase has ended, we will continue to work with MakeING on future development for our site.

We looked at different vendors and found MakeING on Upwork. We really liked them, so I sent them a note, they replied, and we started talking about the project.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

MakeING has done a phenomenal job adding 3D elements to our page. Additionally, they’ve done an incredible custom design of our site — we couldn’t have found a better vendor to do it.  Overall, this has been a very good experience, and I’m more than satisfied with their work.

How did MakeING perform from a project management standpoint?

MakeING is an impressive group of people; their communication is great, as are their pricing and timeline management. We communicate via WhatsApp video calls, WhatsApp messages, and email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

MakeING’s detailed communication is outstanding. They always ask great questions, and if we provide vague answers, they go above and beyond to clarify the information to ensure that they understand our needs.

In the beginning, they took the time to understand our project, which ultimately helped them deliver a product that required very few changes. This achievement was possible thanks to their detailed information gathering and their excellent execution of those requirements.

We needed them to help us build an interactive 3D website so that we could stand out more.

What was the scope of their involvement?

MakeING designed and built a new website from scratch. They used our existing website for inspiration and delivered a mock-up of the new website in Figma. After reviewing the mock-up, we discussed our feedback, and they made the requested changes. Then, they built a test version of the website to ensure everything worked as expected. Once we completed the testing phase, they developed the website using WordPress for the backend.  

The website showcases our work and shares information about who we are. Users can reach us via email or submit a form directly through the website to inquire about working with us. We update the website, but the MakeING team has provided maintenance support.

MakeING created a solid website that has helped us make a good impression and convert more site visitors into clients. We’ve received overwhelmingly positive feedback from everyone who has seen the website.

They performed very well concerning project management; they met deadlines and delivered work within our budget. We used Google Workspace and WhatsApp to communicate and manage tasks.

For what projects/services did your company hire MakeING, and what were your goals?

We hired them to design and develop our main website for the NFT collection. Goal was to create something really compelling that attracted people to the project and explained the value behind it. Basically getting customer interested in purchasing the NFTs and understanding what the value is behind them.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We selected them based off a combination of cost and quality.

• Cost - they were less expensive than the onshore United States based firms we found, few of which could even offer the same capabilities
• Quality - they were able to deliver an extremely high level of quality comparable to only the best United States based web design and development teams could provide.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

The scope of work was to design an entire one page website fore our NFT collection - an in depth marketing page complete with animations, detailed designs and layout. Explaining everything and giving call to action buttons to join our discord. They delivered full HTML, CSS, Javascript files, custom logo design and SVGs for the website!

We directly interfaced with one main point-of-contact who was extremely friendly, personable, easygoing, intelligent and professional. He helped us coordinate everything with a team behind the scenes that executed much of the technical work.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Measurable outcomes include hitting over 7,000 people joining our server and over $10,000 worth of NFTs sold in first 24 hours of launch, with much more revenue streaming in constantly.

Their project management style was very direct, punctual and professional. All deadlines were always met.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I found it most impressive how much value they could deliver given our budget! They really dollar-for-dollar delivered so much that it kind of blew us away. And just how fun and trustworthy they are to work with, that was really important too.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

They could improve a couple bits of design skills with how they made a few of our graphics down at the bottom of the page. Two or three looked like a boilerplate design. Really no big deal given how awesome the work was overall and our small budget.

What challenge were you trying to address with MakeING?

We needed their team’s expertise in website development.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Our website hasn’t effectively done its job in generating more leads and spreading awareness about our brand, so MakeING has helped us address this challenge by developing a new WordPress website for us. Their team has initially conducted thorough research to identify our requirements and goals, study market trends, and analyze the ins and outs of the product.

Upon completing the scoping and research phases, MakeING’s team has created initial page designs to give us an idea of how the platform will look like. Once we’ve approved their design, they’ve implemented the development solutions using PHP and JavaScript. We’ve particularly asked them to integrate user-specific features to optimize the browsing experience of our customers, which include panels for careers, contact details, and download resources.

MakeING has completed the development of our website, and we’ve only asked them to integrate an additional feature to accommodate our company’s core product offering. They’ve given us access to the platform’s backend as well, so we can implement any necessary changes or updates on our own.

We started working together in June 2021, and our engagement with MakeING’s team is ongoing. They’re still in the process of providing directions on how we can operate the platform independently.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They’ve just completed the platform, so it’s too early to discuss quantitative metrics. However, I can confirm that our entire team has approved of MakeING’s work — they particularly like how the website’s design and features effectively mirror and highlight our product offerings.

Our homepage alone clearly provides a great overview of what we do and how customers can reach us — this confusion-free and professional look is far from what our previous platform looked like, design- and functionality-wise.

How did MakeING perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate via WhatsApp and Google Meet, and we organize project deliverables using Google Drive. I can’t speak highly enough about MakeING’s project management skills — they’re timeline-oriented and communicative, and they see to it that they meet all the expectations we’ve set.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re most impressed with their team’s solid work ethic and communication skills.

I’m well aware that no one is perfect, but there’s really nothing negative I can say about their team. They’re quick, efficient, and patient throughout the engagement — any delays we’ve encountered were on our team’s end.

What challenge were you trying to address with MakeING?

We needed help to develop our e-commerce website.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

MakeING built our e-commerce website. They designed and developed the website from scratch, which is divided into two parts: B2B and B2C. The B2B side is a home page to attract distributors and sign up for potential strategic partnerships. The B2C side is an online store with direct contact with the end-user to purchase our smart home products.

They also helped me install payment gateways such as Stripe and used WooCommerce and Elementor. Additionally, they gave me recommendations for SEO.

What is the team composition?

I had direct contact with Eugene (CEO & Project Manager), and several people were working with me, including developers and designers.

How did you come to work with MakeING?

We did a thorough search for a company to hire. I interviewed around 20 different agencies. Many companies overpromise, but MakeING didn’t do it. They gave us a very systematic approach to our vision at the initial stage. The way they managed projects and how they were very systemized attracted us the most to go with them.

We worked together from January–April 2021. I have another project that I want to work on, and I’ll definitely hire them again.

The website’s benchmarks were good, and its speed was great. The structure of the website was essential to the site mapping because it helps in the search engines. No matter how many revisions I needed, MakeING provided me with endless support — some agencies won’t do that because it’s time-consuming.

How did MakeING perform from a project management standpoint?

We mainly used Google Docs for project management. MakeING always created a document for every objective that we had along the way. We used Trello and had a lot of Zoom calls as well. Additionally, we stayed in touch via WhatsApp for urgent matters.

What did you find most impressive about them?

MakeING gave me a competitive rate. Their price was not the cheapest, but they offered value for our money.

They could improve their language.

Follow their plan and systematic approach. They have a very good system for project management and a 3-4 step process that worked very well with us.

We had a project with an expedited timeline. At the same time, we had little availability on our own team, so we were looking for a freelancer or external partner to support the project. The design was complete, so we needed to a development house that could execute on those designs.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We provided MakeING with the designs on Figma. Using that, they were able to generate a fully-functional CMS-based website on WordPress.

We used a freelancer marketplace. We put out our proposal and evaluated each contender based on their skills and what we needed for the project. Based on the work they sent us, we determined that MakeING was good with animations, frontend clarity, and they were able to execute our designs.

We kicked off the project in January 2021 and they turned it around in 10 days.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

They accurately reflected the design in their development. It was some of the best development work that we’ve ever seen.

How did MakeING perform from a project management standpoint?

We had a compressed timeline and they worked extremely fast to deliver on time. They were able to finish the work in the time that we needed it. At the same time, they were fairly affordable.

They were also extremely good communicators. We received daily updates and they responded to our questions as quickly as possible.

What did you find most impressive about them?

When we send a design out, we assume there will be some back and forth between our team and the developers, but MakeING delivered what we designed almost perfectly. They were good at getting things done exactly to our specifications.

I’m not sure — we didn’t feel like they were lacking in any sense.

Have a clear vision of what you want. Having a goal in mind will help a ton.

Even people who don’t use the internet often can easily navigate the site. The final site meets all of our criteria and functions well. Alexey is very creative and has been able to build whatever we need on the website.

It was a very smooth process. Alexey and I skyped often, which helped communication. I could call him whenever I wanted to add features or make changes and it was never a problem. They always picked up immediately and were able to make the changes I requested.

Eugene (CEO) handled everything very well. We’d discuss where we were and what we needed to focus on next, agree, and get on with it. They were able to manage themselves and their own progress on the project. It was clear within a matter of weeks that MakeING was making strides and executing.

Their main skills are in visualization. In terms of design, they have a really impressive ability to tie everything together. If all we had as a company was MakeING’s design work, we’d have a massive advantage.

I think Eugene could’ve explained the service a bit more. We had an expectation at the start, and when he came back, we were kind of shocked. We were shocked in a good way, but we weren’t expecting them to work the way they did.

What challenge were you trying to address with MakeING?

Our website wasn’t converting very well. We didn’t have much organic traffic and we hadn’t refreshed the site in several years.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

I wanted to change the structure of our website with one high-level domain and several sub-domains for various countries. Before, there was a lot of duplication on our site, which really impacted SEO. MakeING helped us narrow down our content and provided advice for our organic and paid traffic. They completely rewrote our site with SEO in mind.

How did you come to work with MakeING?

I spoke to a couple of different companies about what I wanted and MakeING came back with a proposal that I was happy with. They took the time to understand the business and showcased their technical knowledge. They understood what we wanted and how they could create the leads and convert. A lot of the other companies we talked to didn’t grasp what we wanted. We also looked at their prior work, and their designs looked very nice.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Organic traffic increased significantly and our conversion rate for paid ads is up by about 110%. As a result, our lower cost per conversion is much lower. This project continues to help us ring in new customers and grow. Our site looks trustworthy and credible.

They responded quickly and were very efficient. They always delivered on schedule and met all of our requirements. When there were any issues, they dealt with them quickly and professionally.
