BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the founder and president of Global Rainbow Foundation, a charitable drive whose main mission is to serve persons with disabilities in Mauritius, some parts of Africa, and India. Over the last eight years, we’ve served almost 3,000 persons with disabilities, providing artificial limbs for amputees, and so on. We work in this area intensively.

What challenge were you trying to address with MADSUM Company?

I wanted to modernize our organization and make it more sustainable. Because we take corporate social responsibility very seriously, we sought to streamline our processes and make our administrative procedures more transparent. The success of foundations like ours depend on maintained credibility, so we relied on MADSUM Company to help us move in the desired direction.

What was the scope of their involvement?

MADSUM Company is helping us develop an informational database, built on G Suite, of all our beneficiaries and donees. The web platform facilitates volunteers’ accessibility to files, helps retrieve patients’ names and documents, and produces reports as required. It also provides staff training by offering directions for technology usage.

What is the team composition?

We have a team of five people working with MADSUM Company.

How did you come to work with MADSUM Company?

I came across them on LinkedIn and met with them to discuss and identify our needs. They came forward and proposed a matching offer, which was to our satisfaction.

How much have you invested with them?

MADSUM Company has been very sympathetic to our cause. Just as my own work is entirely voluntary, they’ve also offered their services—towards benefitting society’s most vulnerable group—at a very reasonable cost.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with MADSUM Company in December 2019. It’s an ongoing process, and I look forward to continuing to work with them throughout the year. We’ll explore other avenues as we go along.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Development is still underway, but the engagement has been positive so far. My staff is collaborating with their team to build the platform. Things are looking great, and we’re all excited about the benefits it’ll bring to our team. We believe it’ll help us achieve our objectives.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We found them to be a company with a deep sense of humanity and corporate social responsibility. They were understanding of an NGO’s financial limitations.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Since we only started two months ago, I’ll be in the position to say more about MADSUM in six months’ time.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

I’d recommend considering working with MADSUM after full, thorough interviews. Organizations interested in those kinds of services should interact with MADSUM and relay their needs.
