Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

Overview: BreweryDB (by BrewLogix) is a consumer-facing web environment that helps “match” craft brew lovers with the authentic craft brewery experience they are seeking. The platform gives craft lovers visibility to breweries they may never have otherwise never known, encouraging exploration of both breweries, their brand experiences, and their products. 

BreweryDB is rich with product knowledge that is beneficial to both fans of craft as well as professionals in on- and off-premise environments. Over the course of the last 18 months, BrewLogix has built and continually enhanced BreweryDB. Since its launch in May of 2022, BreweryDB has grown in popularity reaching over 13,000 users and receiving over 71,000 page views. 

To date, our software has exclusively survived as a web-based application. We have determined that this is the optimal time to build the mobile application due to the market demand, the stable state and readiness of the existing software, and need for scale. While our analytics show 65.2% of BreweryDB users use desktop vs mobile devices, our feedback suggest that the mobile application will be the preferred use of our software. 

Thanks to the robust feature set and forward-thinking UX designs, BreweryDB delivers value to either device user, so the desktop application maintains its relevance with or without the mobile application. However, the mobile application is critical to the ongoing success of the platform because our users have consistently stated that their favorite features revolve around the brewery map. 

In order for the mapping features, including turn-by-turn navigation and location-specific data, to achieve their full potential we would require a mobile application, as their most probable and optimal use case is when our users are ‘on the road’ or experiencing the brews/breweries in person. BreweryDB is built to help consumers craft great experiences on premise at breweries. 

Statistically speaking, when consumers are on the road they have their mobile devices more readily available versus their laptop/desktop; this is where we feel like the mobile application is most beneficial. The current and future feature set (identified on our roadmap) both contribute to a consumer’s in-person experience, and therefore, further justify the need for a mobile application. 

Of our existing users, 72.3% use iOS devices while only 27.6% use Android. While we believe it is crucial to capitalize by making ourselves available on both operating systems, the top priority is iOS, as it carries the most weight in terms of our existing users and total available market in the US (which is our primary market at this moment in time). 

Deliverables: The requested deliverables includes the following deliverables: 

• Building the application optimized for iOS and Android devices and compatible with all iPhones and Android models 
• Enable GPS tracking based on user location 
• The navigation defined our attached wireframes and information architecture documents 
• The functionality defined in our attached feature definitions (will resemble and borrow from existing functionality of web version found at www.BreweryDB.com) 
• Ability to create, sign in, and sign out of an account; accounts should be unified with our database and data should persist between all repos

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We had deliverables that aligned with design comps that we provided. Each deliverable was tied to a date on the calendar so that we could ensure progress. They provided us access to an app / service called TestFlight so we could see the progress each time new code was pushed out.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

David, their CEO, project managed the project from start to MVP launch. They delivered items on time, even with scope creep introduced. They were responsive and reactive to each request we made. They also gave us great feedback as to potential pitfalls and impediments proactively so we could avoid mistakes on our tight timeline.

We were most impressed by their technical acumen and ability to be flexible in our work style, schedule, and timeline.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Mach One Digital Corporation could have done differently?

Not really. If anything, this would be a total luxury, but adding test automation to their testing services would be great.

For what projects/services did your company hire Mach One Digital Corporation?

Our company was looking for someone that could oversee and guide us in locating a software company that could better fit our needs. We also wanted a company that was knowledgeable not just in software but, understood the transportation business and how it functions. Mach One was able to interpet the terminology and functions of our company to the new software company which was critical to a smooth transition.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We were referred to Ralph at Mach One by another company. After the initial meeting we were sure he was the right chose. This feeling only grew stronger the further we got into the project.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

The first part of the project was to understand the short comings and issues that we were having with our present software company. Next was to understand how we differ from a company owned fleet and how we coordinate with all of our various offices. Each one of our offices had to be able to pay the owner operators at their locations and relay information back and forth to the corporate office. Mach One set up all the training that was needed system wide before we went live. Ralph was hands-on throughout the process, answering questions and giving further training to those who required it.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We worked with the two owners directly and are unable to know what other team members were involve in the background.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

One of the biggest improvements was the reduction in our older receiveables! They were reduced by 70% within the first 90 days.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The interaction couldn't have been any better.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They immediatly became an intrical part of our team and were able to shore up some of the areas we were deficient in.

We are a publicly traded Real Estate Investment Trust. We own approximately 300 grocery-anchored shopping centers around the country. I am the Chief Information Officer. I have been here for 2 1/2 years.

For what projects/services did your company hire Mach One Digital Corporation, and what were your goals?

We were in the beginning stages of building a tenant platform for all of our property tenants to use. We were using another vendor but for various reasons we decided to switch vendors. We originally had four goals:

1. to develop a communication module so we could publish news events
2. develop a ticketing system where tenants can create requests
3. facilitate the payment of rent invoices and access to see invoices
4. facilitate access to the current lease documents.

Over time, the project evolved into much more than the original 4 goals.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

They were a referral from another vendor we used alot and knew our business. They were also local to Cincinnati, OH and they had expertise in the Kentico platform which what the original platform was built on but has since been replaced.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

the scope of work not only included the 4 goals above but it incorporated the entire tenant engagement lifecycle - current, previous, future and prospective tenant functionality. The current tenant had the 4 above features and also allowed for a tenant to submit their sales numbers.  The future tenant had functionality that while the tenant space was being built to include certificate of insurance, design plans and permits.

The prospective tenant had functionality to apply for a space where there was an API directly to Equifax and the ability to submit all application documents. The final piece was developing a mobile application for the product. That was all the tenant facing side of things. The non-tenant facing side of things included things like a property inspection tool.  As well as integrations with our ERP system (MRI) and document management system. We also had single sign on integrations with our utilities vendor (Conservice), tenant payment (Versa Pay) and property assessment tool (ID plans) 

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?  

Mach One had 5 roles - an arhictect, an infrastructure, a developer, UI/Ux and a quality assurance roles. During the development of the mobile application the Mach One team doubled during that time frame

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The product is a fully functional tenant platform that is being used by almost 300 properties and 5000 tenants. Over 100k communications have been sent year to date. Over 6,000 help desk requests have been generated year to date. Over 50% of tenants pay their rent on line. 

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Dashcomm followed an Agile approach to the SDLC. The SCRUM was shared by the Product owner and the Architect who met every two weeks to plan the work for the upcoming sprint wherein new code was developed, tested and deployed. The development team used the Jira tool for logging issues and managing workflow events. The entire team met daily for a 15 minute stand up where issues and impediments were discussed. Steering Team meetings were held on a two week cadence to align with the development teams sprint schedule

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Understanding the big picture of what we wanted to do with the product and attention to details.  The owners were always available. They truly acted like owners of the product
