Tetiana was assigned to our project and she has been absolutely amazing. She hit the ground running getting familiar quickly with the app and our processes. She has proved herself to be hard working, effective, insightful, intuitive, great common sense and going above and beyond to suggest improvements even when it wasn't part of her original scope (but which is hugely beneficial to us). She is also very responsive and mindful of our budget. She is professional in all she does, punctual for meetings and a clear communicator which is an asset. She makes herself available when needed and has become invaluable to our QA process. She's a great addition to our team and we are thankful to have her.

This team was the first QA hire provided to test and document our platform. They provided all of the manual test case documentation for the first few years. They now provide manual regression testing on a nightly basis and help maintain our test case backlog.

Luxe Quality has provided not only stellar quality testing and surfaced many hidden bugs and usability issues, but also given valuable user-based feedback on our features as they develop. Our entire test case backlog was created by their team and has given us a leg up on continued documentation.

The testers we have worked with through Luxe have all been incredibly quick to onboard and become productive. We consider them a critical part of our QA journey.

The team at Luxe have all been so quick to grow an understanding of our complicated software. They always provide enthusiastic feedback and are ready and willing to execute any instruction we provide. They've surfaced many showstopping issues during their time on our team.

I can't think of anything, to be honest. Any time we have requested a change in how they work (i.e. how they report issues, how they write test cases, how they track their feedback for us) they have quickly accommodated.

I'm the director of an e-commerce platform - an online marketplace for video creators. We sell digital creative assets such as stock video, stock music, stock video templates and stock 3d models to b2b to b2c customers.

We were looking for a reliable and responsive QA team to structure and implement all stages and steps of automated QA (AQA) development to ensure we are consistently delivering a quality product to our customers.

Luxe Quality AQA engineers are responsible for end-to-end (E2E), UI, API and some special testing in our team. They take part in all stages and steps of development as QA. They started from maintaining our existing testing framework but soon after they proposed an alternative framework that turned out to be more effective and useful.

They are building our QA architecture - currently they have developed more than 1500 E2E automation tests that are passing in less then 30 minutes and 1700 E2E API tests with contract testing.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

QA processes that they've built have proven to help us incrementally improve the quality of our product delivered.

The Luxe Quality team has created more than 1500 detailed E2E tests with good reporting, set up API contract and API E2E tests, set up smoke API and UI testing, set up test management system.

They've also made pipelines much faster, reporting their results like test-coverage and working on documentation, testing requirements.

They consistently use best QA practices and regularly communicate and update the team on this.

Our QA team from Luxe Quality, as with all our other team members distributed globally, comunicate via Slack and Zoom in a full remote-base setting.

Our team collaborates and manages all projects and tasks using Jira and TMS. We have regular ad-hoc small team meetings where needed and scheduled twice a week catch-ups for all teams and bi/monthly retrospectives.

AQAs have their own board in Jira and their tasks are described there so managers are able to check their progress. Other than regularly passing deadlines, the Luxe Quality team keeps all up to speed with their progress with monthly test coverage reporting.

Nothing impressive or unique, they simply perform their role without fuss and deliver as professionals do. They're often multi-tasking handling different projects and often, we see them taking initiatives to solve problems. These are traits we typically look out for in a company specialised in QA.

Nothing I can think of at the moment.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

It's difficult to share any results of QA's work but after some time we've finally saw changes for good in the project quality. Guys integrated quickly into our workflow and started to fix this quality debt with very solid speed and the most important - our customer also admitted the change and we've improved our reputation.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

It was a good experience of working with Vadim and Lux quality, so when the project was finished we decided to move those guys to another project to continue working with them. So far we had no incidents we couldn't talk through with Vadim and he is both responsive and responsible for the work of his team.

It was a great balance between the cost and quality. We're impressed with their great communication and very responsible attitude.

I'm the CEO of a SaaS startup in the fintech space. We provide cloud-based fixed asset depreciation and lease calculation software to accounting firms and businesses worldwide.

We were rapidly developing a cloud accounting software product and our end-to-end test coverage was low and the tests themselves were flakey. This was consuming a lot of developer time, slowing down our progress and making us nervous about regressions. We hired Luxe Quality to assist us to develop a robust, automated test suite to improve our coverage and speed up feature development.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We searched for test automators on Upwork, shortlisted 5 and then offered each a technical test to demonstrate their ability to digest a brief, communicate and present results in a way that made sense to a non-technical person. Luxe's submission was by far the best in all regards.

Luxe was initially responsible for creating a suite of automated tests to replace our existing end-to-end tests. It was very important to us that these tests be as robust as possible so that our developers weren't frustrated by broken tests. The initial project was very successful and we incorporated the automated test suite into our build pipelines.

We were so impressed by Luxe's quality of work that we decided to extend the project and increase our automated test coverage. We also started offering Luxe manual testing opportunities. Both of these projects have been very successful and Luxe now manages all of our automated testing and more than 80% of our manual testing (some manual testing is very tax/accounting technical so has to be done by accounting professionals).

We worked with one member of Luxe's team, who started as a dedicated automation tester, then extended into manual testing as well. His skills, attention to detail, communication and reliability have all been outstanding.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our automated tests are now very extensive and coverage continues to grow as we add new features. They cover all critical aspects of the product from account and subscription creation to integrations, data imports and reporting. Our development cadence has increased now that Luxe is managing the majority of our manual testing - our releases are more regular, bug reports have reduced considerably and our confidence in product quality is extremely high.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow has been excellent. As we were in different time zones, our developers were able to submit features for testing at the end of a business day and the Luxe team would pick these up, work on them overnight and present results by the time we started work the next morning. The testing has always been extremely thorough and the results are presented very clearly. This makes our developers' jobs much easier and saves us a lot of time.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Luxe Quality's communication and attention to detail has been excellent. The team continues to come up with creative suggestions for how we can keep improving product quality. The skill level of their staff has also been very impressive.

We decided to hire the vendor given the very good outcome of an initial interview.

We discussed in a preliminary meeting all the requirements, and we gave full control over the selection of the technologies. We suggested some existing tools we were aware of (like cypress) for evaluation. In the end, they proposed us web driver io, and we implemented all the end-to-end tests with it.

Only one person worked with us so far, a QA Automation Engineer that developed all the end-to-end tests and setup all the framework.

We now have end-to-end tests that give us the impact of all our new changes, and a tests outcome report that is generated by a scheduled pipeline every day.
