Builddocs is an online platform and social community for residential consumers. It provides architectural information and a community for sharing architectural knowledge and experiences. 

As the Founder and CEO, I oversee the whole platform ensuring the community’s ease in finding all the relevant information they need to realize their dream homes, resolve their construction defects, and address any homeowner association issues. Users are able to ask the community and have discussions on any topic related to architecture.

The main challenge I was facing is the lack of direction as my vision, mission, and goals were a little vague and broad. I had an idea of what I wanted to do, however I was a little stuck, and missing concrete next steps.

The team at Lizard Global helped by providing guidance in setting clear goals and strategies before pre-launching my current platform. This also included pre-launch planning and recommendations for setting growth-oriented business objectives.

From my side I was the only one involved and from Lizard Global’s side there were three people. Their Chief Operational Office, Terence, facilitated the workshop, a Product Owner, Kaz, and Business Strategist, Shifarah. There was active participation from all parties where we brainstormed about different ideas for my platform which led to better setting better goals.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The status of this engagement is currently concluded as the Lizard Global team has helped guide me through and build a solid plan for my project. Right now I’m regrouping with my team to finalize the plan and to start putting things into motion. At the moment on my side I am still updating my business plan according to the results of this collaboration with Lizard Global. I’ve been at work with updating my annual planning in line with the outcome of the OKR workshop.

I think they performed very well and the results and outcome were above my expectations, and also according to the timeline that was set. I’m very happy with their project management style.

While there were many aspects that left a lasting impression, the one thing that really stood out to me was their thoroughness in studying and understanding my company and the field of work it is in, then providing the best solutions and steps for me to move forward.

Honestly, there is none that I can think of. They have exceeded my expectations in all the areas they were involved in.

What challenge were you trying to address with Lizard Global?
After working on our web application for quite some time now, I was looking into other companies who would be able to rebuild and design the platform for the behavior change programs I offer and which had to be easily accessible for everyone (according to the W3 Accessibility Standards).

What was the scope of their involvement? 

The scope of the project was based on a complete problem and solution definition where they thought along with us on how to align the business as well as the products and services we offer while also working on a flexible development process of our application.

What is the team composition? 

During this stage of our development process a Product Owner and a Designer were involved. The Product Owner thought along with us and challenged us in this stage of the process where we worked on UI/UX of our application and the Designer created the designs and thought along about the user experience and user interface of the application.

I found Lizard Global through references (on Clutch) and also online research. I reached out to their Rotterdam office and was able to schedule a meeting with them as soon as possible.

I would like to keep this confidential, however every minute and amount that was spent within this project was worth it. They are very transparent when it comes to where and how the budget is allocated throughout the project.

The status of this engagement is an ongoing long-term partnership where they are our trusted partner for all our software development projects.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The company itself is not just our software supplier. Throughout this journey, they've been true partners, collaborating with us as colleagues, working side by side toward our shared goal. Every member of the Lizard Global team made us feel incredibly valued, consistently taking the initiative to brainstorm and problem-solve with us at every step of the projects. Their responsiveness was outstanding; even on weekends, I received prompt and personalized answers to my questions.

In the past I worked on a project with Lizard Global in the proptech industry. We developed a software solution and the collaboration was great. When I started with Airturb and we realized that we needed a software solution as well, Lizard Global was the first company that came to mind.

What is the status of this engagement?

We finalized the first phase of the project and we’ll start with the second phase next month.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

A web application that allows my customers to see turbines’ location, description and their performance in terms of generated power. In the backoffic, we can manage the turbines in a dashboard.

Lizard Global made software development clear, and easy to understand. The whole software development process and all the steps that were taken, before, during and at the end of the first phase were very understandable for everyone that has no experience in software development.

This project was divided into two phases, and they've finished the first phase of the project beyond our expectations. They've made this partnership comfortable. So far, the communication between Lizard Global and our team was very transparent and we were very well updated throughout the whole project.

DEXTR, the easiest taxi app in the Netherlands, helps Dutch travellers with travel by connecting them with local taxis. We connect demand and supply in a simple and quick way.

What challenge were you trying to address with the vendor?

The idea started when we saw that there is a mobility gap in rural areas in the Netherlands. After having developed the mobile app with Lizard Global, we went through a design thinking workshop which went deeper into understanding the problems and needs of our target audience.  Based on the results, feedback and mutual collaboration with the team at Lizard Global we can now further enhance the consumer taxi app.

What was the scope of their involvement? 

Together, we engaged in ongoing activities that began with workshops where we got a better understanding of the needs of our end users in order to develop the application.

What is the team composition? 

We worked together with a SCRUM team during the workshop as well as when developing the application. We had the opportunity to visit their office in Kuala Lumpur to run the workshops with the entire team.

I was introduced to Jeremy who is the CEO of Lizard Global. We got in touch and together we scoped the MVP.

This is an ongoing collaboration.

We have an operational application that is available in the app stores.

How did the vendor perform from a project management standpoint?

We have our own product owner who guided us through the whole process in order to create the app. We have regular refinement- and sprint planning meetings where we discussed the progress of the app as well as gave feedback and shared our ideas with them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We highly appreciate the interactive collaboration with the UX design and development team.

When starting the project we knew what we wanted and for us it was that we had to find a way to work together since different teams were involved. It would help the project collaboration if there is higher transparency and communicative responsiveness.

Iontech, Inc, is one of the biggest distributors of computer and consumer electronic goods in the Philippines. I am the Vice President for Product Management and Marketing.

We have an idea for a new concept and we reached out to Lizard Global for the development part. We started the Workshops for the Digital conceptualization and a proto-type of our ideas. Making this more tangible and disruptive. We completed the user validation.

We found them through Google search and we got in touch via email with the commercial team. After some sessions we found out that Workshops would be the right fit to giving the project a kick-start.

We invested first in their workshop then we plan to go ahead with the development. Update [08-11-2022]: we started with the actual development of the project. We had a Kick-off meeting, and the process is going smoothly so far!

Still active and the next stage is Lizard will provide their quotation for the product development. This has been started by now, and the right team is assigned for going as smooth as possible towards an Minimal Marketable Product (MMP)

For now, none yet since we are in the early stage. But the workshop we had with them spawned good ideas we have incorporated in the development. This has been started and goes very well.

So far, really professionally. We have yet to see this aspect since we have not yet finalized the project with them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Professionalism, eagerness to help us and you can really feel their genuine interest and involvement in the entire process. They are knowledgeable in their expertise, and their customer service is top-notch.

The only thing I see where they can add more value to the partnership is to also do in depth research before the workshop about the topic so they can also provide their inputs on the viability of the project.
