What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Live Animations’ mesmerizing AR animations have brought magic to our products and joy to our consumers. We currently have exclusive rights for the production of AR school products in our region, which has been extremely profitable. Our sales have already increased by 13% since incorporating Live Animation’s designs into our merchandise.

Working with them has been a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Issues are always resolved within 24 hours, as a result of their clear and rapid communication.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Live Animations never fails to surprise us with their growth. They entered the engagement with simple AR animations, but they are now capable of integrating interactive games and other cutting-edge technologies into our products. Their team is always searching for ways to make their designs more innovative.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Live Animations should consider developing more designs throughout the year so that we have more options for future releases. It would also be advantageous to offer designs that are targeted for our local market.

We contracted with Live Animations to help us create AR animations for a collection of children’s books.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Using the Unity platform, they developed our mobile application for Android and iOS. Users can scan the cover of each book in the collection, and it downloads the book on to the user’s phone. On pages that feature our company logo, users scan the page, and the character comes to life. 

Live Animations built AR components that allow users to play with the character. There are also coloring pages and interactive hidden object pages.

What is the team composition?

We worked closely with 3–4 people in the beginning, but we now have a single point of contact for everything.

How did you come to work with Live Animations?

We met them at a toy trade show in New York. We did a lot of prior research, but we had never seen their kind of quality before. They were clearly the best option we could have selected.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our initial engagement spanned October 2017–January 2018. We plan to continue working with them, however, and we have about eight more books in the pipeline.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our books are now sold in stores, but we wouldn’t have gotten into the stores without the AR component. Retailers have been blown away by the quality of their work.

In terms of their workflow, it was very smooth. They met deadlines, and the project itself was very successful, so it ended up being a great experience.

How did Live Animations perform from a project management standpoint?

The project management systems they have in place are truly impressive. We never had any issues, and most of the time they finished faster than we expected. We had no trouble communicating despite the time zone differences.

We had weekly Skype calls to check in on the project status and make sure that everything was on track. There was never a delay, and, if we had to change something on short notice, it was never a problem at all.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The communication between our teams was very good. Whenever there was an issue, they communicated with us openly so that we’d know right away if something was up.

The quality of their work is the best we’ve ever seen. They are truly leaders in their field. They managed the project very well. We’re fortunate to have found them, and we look forward to working with them more in the future.

No, it was a very smooth process all in all. There was nothing to criticize.

We needed support with a new large-scale promotional campaign called 'Rostyshka' to renew our visual identity.

Live Animations has been involved in all stages of our brand app upgrades. The team has redesigned logos and visual elements to match the new illustrated style. In addition, they've updated buttons, icons, backgrounds, and app screens. Moreover, they've removed outdated features and preserved favorite games in the new format.

Currently, we have three high-priority tasks for Live Animations: updating the app according to the brand’s new style after rebranding, developing new user journeys and game mechanics within the promotional campaign concept, and improving extra mechanics to engage and retain children in the app, given that the promotion doesn't have a collecting part.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Since this promotion doesn't have collectible mechanics, we expected lower engagement and focused on user retention, uninstall ratio stability, and maintaining app ratings. After 10 weeks, the time spent decreased by 2% compared to the previous flight, the uninstall-to-download ratio was steady at 1%–1.2%, and the app ratings remained unchanged.

We mostly contact Live Animations via email. Our communication is very well-coordinated, productive, and sometimes extremely fast.

Live Animations developed a series of interactive in-app games for the Silpo mobile application. The scope of work included concept development, game design, and technical implementation tailored to our brand’s creative vision. The project was aimed at boosting user engagement, attracting new users, and increasing app retention through gamification. All deliverables were provided on time, with strong communication and creative input from the team.

The project delivered measurable results, including a significant increase in user engagement within the Silpo app. We observed higher session duration, repeat visits, and strong participation rates in the in-app games. NTI Loyalty regularly develops and runs innovative loyalty programs for retail chains. I am Konstantin Melnikov, the founder and CEO of NTI Loyalty.

For what projects/services did your company hire Live Animations, and what were your goals?

We needed to develop and implement virtual and augmented reality for the KAZKA VR loyalty program in the ATB trading network. This is a large-scale gamified project that is based on Ukrainian national traditions and music of the Ukrainian band KAZKA, who are the main characters of a VR game and AR book.

The goal of the KAZKA loyalty program is to teach children about environmental responsibility and household waste sorting through the game. Live Animations was responsible for making the entire digital part more engaging and useful to attract as many as possible children and their families to this project. The company created the first VR-based loyalty program in Ukraine.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We saw cases of this vendor earlier and liked them a lot, so we offered them to take part in our project.

Live Animations created an app with two types of activities - virtual and augmented reality. As the customers made their shopping in the retail chain they received an opportunity to buy the AR book or the VR set at a special price. Each set and book has a link to the free app.

After downloading and launching it, and with a smartphone inserted in the assembled headset, the customer can enjoy an exciting VR game featuring eight levels. The book cover itself and its five pages come to life in augmented reality.

All animations are bright and interactive and help solve the environmental problem we are facing every day. The members of the KAZKA band became the main characters of interactive games, and they taught children to take care of nature. Together they clean up the forests, lakes and mountains from various garbage left by people, and also discover and explore the world.

The Live Animations tech and art teams were involved in the project. Namely, we worked with animators, modelers, developers, designers, screenwriter, project manager, sound engineer and VFX artists.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Initially, we launched a pilot project in one city and after its successful outcome, a loyalty program was launched throughout the country. This project showed us that it is already time to implement immersive technologies in loyalty programs right now. They help to stand out on the market and attract more customers.

Therefore, we are already working on some new projects with AR / VR technologies.

It was great that, despite many issues, the project was launched on time and during the project, their team promptly fixed the emerging bugs. Plus, the app's rating is quite high - 4.2.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I think it's the Live Animations team’s creativity, innovative mindset and impressive experience in the AR field.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

At the start of the project, there was a lack of VR experience, especially of the Google CardBoard SDK technology. During the project, Google made adjustments to the SDK and there was a need to redo the CardBoard settings several times. I wish Live Animations would be more attentive to product testing next time. Everything else was perfect!
