Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the owner and CEO of ArbitrageCard. We sell discounted gift cards to business owners to help them boost their profit margins when procuring products from vendors.

For what projects/services did your company hire Litebox, and what were your goals?

We are developing our website and needed some branding material to make everything look modern, trustworthy, and to present us as an authority in our field. We hired Litebox to provide visual designs and layouts that represent these values.

How did you select Litebox?

I was recommended this company by a friend of mine. I decided to hire them based on the quality of their own site as well as case studies of other projects they worked on.

Describe the scope of their work in detail, including any steps and the final deliverables.

They interviewed me and I provided several different logo designs that I liked which I had seen from other companies. They designed multiple mood boards, and I selected elements which I liked from each. We had about 4 rounds of narrowing down exactly the style of designs that I wanted. Eventually we arrived at my ideal designs and logo.

I communicated with the CEO, the Project Manager, and the Lead Designer.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Their branding materials have enabled us to present ourselves in a way that attracts new customers and establishes trust with new clients.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

We did Zoom calls about every week or two. They used Slack to communicate throughout the project, and added any deliverables in Notion, as well as using Notion to track the overall progress and stages of the project.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are creative and think outside the box with the visual designs, as well as doing a good job of understanding exactly what their clients are looking for and making it a reality.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I can't think of any ways in which they could have done better.

I’m the CEO of Splash Technology, a licensing platform to play games.

What challenge were you trying to address with Litebox?

We wanted to build our technology platform and needed technical support.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Litebox is our dedicated outsourced development team. They do custom software development for us, which involves mobile and web app development using React Native, React.js, and Vue.js. These apps are free-to-play predictive games based on sporting events. 

We had an initial discovery phase and started with two engineers from Litebox on our outsourced team. They’ve scaled up the engineering team as the project has needed it.

What is the team composition?

We’re working with 8–9 engineers from Litebox.

How did you come to work with Litebox?

Our former CTO was a friend of Litebox’s CEO.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested between $200,000–$1 million.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in July 2020, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Signing new partners shows the success of our technology, and with Litebox’s help, we’ve had a very successful year in that regard. The stability of the platform and of its core features are also measures of their success.

How did Litebox perform from a project management standpoint?

They perform very well from a project management standpoint. We use Trello for project management, GitHub for collaboration, and Slack for daily communication. In addition, we have weekly planning sessions on Google Meets.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m impressed with Litebox’s eagerness to learn about our requirements. What stands out the most is the quality of their work.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there isn’t anything they need to improve.

My advice is to buy into Litebox’s culture.

We needed to update our landing page. The one we had before was very basic and we wanted to redevelop it.

How did you come to work with Litebox ?

They were referred to me by a colleague, we were already looking for someone to update our landing page, but the companies I had contacted didn't meet our needs and expectations. I contacted them and I really liked their proposal, they went the extra mile and presented an integral proposal that was just what I was looking for. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in August 2018. The landing page project is complete, but the company continued collaborating with them. They became the go-to technology partner.

The quality of their work was excellent, they also generated a great working environment. They matched our needs and timing. We felt comfortable working with them, they have a great human quality. They felt more like a partner than a service provider.

For each project, we’ve worked with different people, but usually, there’s a project manager, a tech leader, and a development team with 1–3 people.

Litebox came to us years ago.

We’ve invested around $70,000.

We started working with Litebox around the end of 2015, the beginning of 2016.

Having Litebox as a partner allows us to meet our client’s needs more integrally. We know we can count on them.

Their team stays updated on the latest technologies, working to improve their services. That has become an added value for our company.

Their team is at the forefront, using the best project management tools. They successfully manage projects remotely. They’re constantly innovating their tools for communication, project follow-up, and reports delivery. As for deadlines, they’ve always been precise.

There’s always room for improvement. They should continue focusing on their evolution, adapting to the market’s needs.

What challenge were you trying to address with Litebox?

I needed someone to create our platform with web integrations with our partner rental companies. I wanted a company that had experience working with other tourism companies that had experience with these integrations.

We worked with two people directly, but there were others involved.

How did you come to work with Litebox?

We evaluated about 12 different companies. A lot of them had the experience but offered solutions with little space for customization.

I ended up choosing Litebox because of the flexibility they offered. They’re also based in the same city as my company. I asked for references and heard great things, including that they were a great fit for my budget.

We’ve invested about $90,000.

We started the project in September 2018, and the website was finished that December.

Hiring Litebox was the best decision I made for my business. In terms of flexibility and quality, they exceeded my expectations. Their timeliness and availability were also great.

The site’s functionality is excellent. They’ve adapted to our design team. Litebox is great at what they do.

We used Slack to communicate. They also used a project management tool. We had monthly meetings where we reviewed the planning, milestones met, and priorities. They were able to understand our business needs very quickly.

What did you find most impressive about them?

One of the things that surprised me the most was how fast they understood the business and our needs. It’s a complex business, but they were able to adapt quickly.

This is common in the industry. But after we started the project, the project leader left. It impacted our planning, but they were able to assign someone even better.

The team developed iOS and Android mobile apps. In terms of technology, they’ve used Stripe, Bluetooth, and React Native.

It varies, but we’ve worked with about five teammates.

The results exceeded expectations, and it’s been a great experience. 

How did Litebox perform from a project management standpoint?

We use Pivotal Tracker internally, so they use that as well. Their project managers are very responsive in terms of their communication. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Litebox came up with very creative solutions for some of our technical challenges while incorporating our existing tools.
