We hired Lexart mainly as an IT staff augmentation solution to achieve the following:

• Continous Improvement of our existing hardware logistics platform
• Implementation of new features and integrations
• Developing a brand new public facing API
• Developing a new CMS integrated marketing site

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

From the very beginning of our relationship with Lexart we were impressed by the professionalism of their staff. They very quickly adapted to our existing stack and also elevated our existing processes by following strict and highly effective processes including progress reports, standups, ticket management and more.

The project is still ongoing but they have helped us raise our delivery rate of new features as well as being extremely quick to respond to and resolve bugs when they arise.

One of the things which impressed me the most about their team is how solid their project management processes are.

Both developers we hired communicate daily progress reports at the end of the day leaving note of what was worked on and how far along they are. They were also very quick to pick up new processes put in place by our CTO like a dedicated PR slack channel, PR reviews and feedback, ticket management and more. 

The delivery time was fast and issues or lack of clarity in tickets was communicated promptly and cleary.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Like I said before, their project management skills are quite remarkable. 

I'm impressed by the level of Lexart's developers. We hired two Junior developers from them but after a couple of months I was impressed with their skills and had a hard time beliving this was one of the first projects they had worked on. I believe their hiring selection process must be very rigorous to be able to select this kind of talent out of such a big pool of candidates.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Lexart could have done differently?

For the past year we have worked together I find it hard to point out something that could have been done differently. As I said, the developers we hired were Juniors so of course they needed some guidance on some of the more complex topics but they were very quick to catch on and very receptive to our CTOs guidance. If our CTO wasn't available, Lexart themselves provided a more experienced person to guide the developers.

We are go shops, a boutique software company specialized in retail innovation. We are a team of passionate designers, engineers, and thinkers who strive to create amazing customer experiences (CX) for the retail industry. I currently develop business in the company.

We know Lexart from other projects and we fully trust the technical capabilities of your team, professionalism and delivery, as well as the flexibility they have to adapt to new changes.

The project consists of the development of a mobile app with integrations for a major retailer in Latin America. Broadly speaking, the project presented the following challenges:

1. Native development for ios and android
2. Integrations with magento systems for the app and live shopping
3. Development of live shopping to be integrated into the app
4. Integrations with payment gateway

When we got the project we talked with the technical team about better alternatives. For example:

1. Staff augmentation
2. Recruitment of employees

Finally we decided to have a PM from the goshops team integrated into a supplier's team to be competitive.

The team managed to come out with a productive application without any hiccups and with a really good delivery. At the business level, the company achieved several downloads and began to sell products through the app without problems.

Very satisfied with the end result. The customer is also very satisfied and confident, which is very good for future versions of the app.

Communication through discord and tasks in JIRA. At the same time, priorities to attack every day are managed in Excel.

Their dedication and disposition are impressive.

Improve level of estimates. The last 2 functionalities that were estimated as changes, in my opinion, were bulky (it is understood by leaving a margin) and they were not made by decision of the client. Perhaps improve at the scope level so that there are fewer doubts and cut margins.

Objective: Design, development of regional Education Web Platform.

FRONT-END / BACK-END Backend developed with Laravel, an open source framework for developing web applications and services with PHP 5 and PHP 7. They proposed this technology since in the world of current web design and development, the PHP language has become the most used throughout world widely surpassing other programming languages on servers such as ASP.NET, Java J2EE or Ruby on Rails.

For the Frontend they used VueJS or React technology, compatible with PWA (progressive web apps), so that it adapts to any device. PWA - Progressive Web Apps are a natural evolution of web apps that fuse the barrier between web and apps, being able to perform tasks that usually only native apps could do.

The provider were right on schedule, charged reasonable prices, were professional and courteous in dealings, and delivered items well before time. Their expertise and professionalism were evident throughout the development cycle, and we were very pleased with the final product.

The Project Manager immediately immersed himself in our project, and his understanding of the technical scope and usability specifications of the project were impressive.

They work hard to resolve any issues that arise and keep us updated regularly. Their team is reliable and effective, and communications were good at every stage.

At the beginning we have required them to pay more attention to some details regarding the visual interfaces, but we polished it during the development of the project and now everything is much more synchronized

Lexart was recommended by the company CTO. After interviewing them and checking past projects we decide to move forward with them. The key factors was the experience in the technology we decided to use and the fare rate.

After migration we move from an 30% of our clients using the system to 100% clients. Our clients feedback was excelente and the company development team feels good working with Lexart

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The first develop a training for our development team in order to be able to continue with the project by our own if necessary. The coordination throw SCRUM + Trello works perfect for this project. They was always ready for help and share information. The incidents response it was always almost immediately, deploying hot fixes really fast and helping to keep the business going.
