Regarding technologies, they used Figma to deliver the designs. In the beginning, there was a launch call where they showed us their previous designs and many color schemes we could choose from.

They delivered the whole application design and the design system so our in-house UI person could continue designing new screens.

Project management was excellent; they were constantly in touch with us through Slack, and we had a weekly call with them using Google Meet. Also, they shared the project plan over an Excel Sheet and updated it regularly. Overall, they were very responsive.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Our clients gave great feedback and said LeverageUX Design Agency greatly improved the design.

I’m the clinical product lead at DeepHealth, a software company. I lead the development of one of our products in mammography.

What challenge were you trying to address with LeverageUX Design Agency?

We overtook the development of an interface and were looking to outsource the design.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Initially, we came to LeverageUX with the general scope of what we were looking to do — we needed to create a dashboard from scratch. We’ve given them simple user and product requirements and worked with them to get a design that involves user research. They’ve carried out interviews and surveys and worked on creating the information architecture for the dashboard, low-fidelity wireframes, high-fidelity wiring diagrams, and a clickable prototype. It’s been a full-on design process.

The dashboard is rather basic analytics with simple graphics. However, it’s also very complex because it has a lot of navigation pages, so there’s a bit more focus on style than the actual optimization of the navigation layout from the user’s point of view. We’re still working on it, and I’m sure they’ll take our feedback and act on that.

They’ve used Figma for the design. We’ve had a lot of iterations over the style, but we didn’t have any particular requests in the beginning. We have a set of fixed user needs we need to solve and some basic constraints about colors because we have our own company color. Other than that, we’ve been fairly open, so there’s been a lot of room for creativity.

What is the team composition?

We work closely with a designer and a project manager. Additionally, the whole project is overseen by a project lead. They manage all the different projects that LeverageUX works on.

How did you come to work with LeverageUX Design Agency?

I found them through Upwork and Clutch, where I looked at their reviews. Since this was our first experience with this type of service, we vetted many firms. LeverageUX was the right balance of cost and freshness in their designs. Also, we wanted a balance between an experienced designer and the flexibility of a young firm. They checked all the boxes and seemed to align with our vision.

How much have you invested in them?

We’ve spent between $15,000–$20,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in April 2022, and our relationship is ongoing. However, we’re now approaching the end of the project.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Their scope has been fairly accurate. We have a tight deadline, so we’ve had to move quickly. It’s a new component, so incorporating what we learn from our customers into the interface has been a learning experience. We haven’t deployed it, so it doesn’t have a quantifiable impact yet.

Nonetheless, I’m an opinionated product lead, and we have a clear vision of what the interface should look like. LeverageUX has been receptive to feedback, ensuring they capture the style and design we’re looking for. The quality has been at the expected level, and we’ve had many opportunities to course-correct it, which has been very positive.

Additionally, the project lead has been involved; they’ve ensured that we’re happy with how things are progressing. They’ve also incorporated the changes into how we work together, which is essential. Overall, they’ve been very proactive not only on the design portion but the collaboration as well. We’re working as expected.

How did LeverageUX Design Agency perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management has been excellent. We have one-week sprints, and we’ve requested further explanations on the tasks we’re working on. We want to ensure that we align and that the project is progressing as expected. The team has taken our feedback and provided us with regular updates. They’re receptive and well-organized. 

We don’t use project management tools, although it would’ve been nice. They share an Excel report where they log the hours, and we use that for the weekly invoices they share. The UX/UI hours they use for the week are transparent, and the general tasks they’ve provided allow us to keep track and stay on budget.

We mainly use Slack and comments through Figma for communication. We have frequent video calls, particularly when aligning and reviewing things.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The fact that they’re a small company allows for a personalized experience. We feel very followed, and there are advantages in the speed for communication and incorporating changes. We never have to wait, which has worked out very well because we need to be heavily involved in the design and have a quick turnaround.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I’ve shared this with them, but I think one point of improvement would be having a bit more proactivity on the design front, not much in the style, but in finding innovative solutions to solve a problem.

In our case, we solely needed a UX research firm, which wasn’t their focus. We spent time performing user interviews in the beginning, but we weren’t 100% convinced that they unveiled the user we needed. It was helpful to be on the calls, but we sometimes felt we were leading the interview instead of them.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

With any company, it’s beneficial to set clear goals and milestones ahead of time. Most importantly, have regular check-ins to make sure that the goals haven’t changed and the pace is suitable for both parties. Design changes a lot over the engagement due to the nature of the work, so it’s important to check in regularly to ensure that both sides are aligned.

I’m the VP of systems development for an insurance agency. In my role, I support software development for our web applications.

What challenge were you trying to address with LeverageUX Design Agency?

They helped us with an AI document management platform.  

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We started with kickoff meetings where we explained what we were looking for, and from there, they were able to give us an information architecture diagram and user flows with screens and functional designs. In other words, they created our UX system. After we made some refinements, they put together a mood board so that we could choose a look and feel that matched us as a company. The final solution was a combination of elements from many of these options that we put together into a customized application.

Once the system was designed, we went through and assigned them certain modules to create, and they provided mockups for those.

This project was unique in that we’d already gotten a large way through the development, so we were working backward in a way. They’ve helped us present different functions in a good way and help users access our features. 

We used Figma for the design. This worked well, as it was very collaborative and allowed us to go in and add comments and make changes throughout the project. We provided a set of style guidelines; we had a logo and color scheme that we had to adhere to.

I worked with 2–3 people, including an initial recruiter. There was also a project manager and a designer.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from February–April 2022. If a new, appropriate project comes along, we’ll certainly re-engage with them.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We haven’t released the application to production yet, so we don’t have metrics, but I can say that LeverageUX is a professional team that went above and beyond to meet deadlines and keep us on track. They were also very good at taking feedback and listening to changes that we wanted. Everything came together seamlessly.

Additionally, their designs look really good and are going to be very user-friendly. Their team members were very detail-oriented in the sense that, if they thought there was something to be done to make the UX better, they would do it. They didn’t just accept what we asked for, but they pushed to ensure everything would be the best that it could be.

How did LeverageUX Design Agency perform from a project management standpoint?

We used Figma to put in any update requests and also communicated over Slack. Our communication flowed quite nicely.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re really dedicated to making sure that nothing gets overlooked and that the experience will be as good as it possibly can be for our users. If they see a flaw, then they’ll point it out as something to work on based on how the user might perceive it. They’ve definitely taken a leadership role and provided expertise.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, not that I know of.

Really engage them and ask them for their honest opinions and feedback. They have a lot to offer.

I am CTO of Ecex Exchange. Ecex Exchange is crypto exchange and central depository service for digital assets.

For what projects/services did your company hire LeverageUX Design Agency?

We are developing completely new platform for our customers and also adding to exchange services new service branch central digital assets depository (analog of central securities depository in shares world). For that purpose we needed completely new UI/UX design what can be used both in website (mobile friendly) and mobile app.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We published project in UpWork environment. The final selection criteria in favor LeverageUX Design Agency was their experience in crypto assets area. It is relatively specific sector and initial knowledge it this sector is big plus. Also existing portfolio was supporting nicely our decision.

Minor benefit was working on similar time zone what reduced delays on communication and allowed all to happen in real time.

As already mentioned their team had experience in same area. Due to short time frame we did not carry out extensive initial case studies based on similar projects. First we provided basic information about functionality to be discovered. After that LeverageUX collected information about our preferences in general design look an feel.

In next step wireframes were prepared in Figma. After wireframes covered all functionality and were approved the final design for all screens was created in Figma. In addition smaller subtask as logos and similar graphic elements were prepared in several formats.

My team worked directly with UI/UX designers and project manager. From subcontractor side we had contact with 5 persons.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We're very pleased with the deliverables from their team. The UX/UI serves as the foundation for the web portal and app we're now working to develop. We have a long software development experience. But this is mostly on back end and business logic side. So we gave designers free hands and did not push our "tunnel vision".

In a result we got solution from end-user perspective exactly what is needed (even if it means more work on backend). After we have completed current development scope, it is expected to order additional screens and other graphical elements from same sub-contractor.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Communication was very smoot. Everyday tasks, issues and question were solved almost in real time via Slack. From time to time we had zoom meetings for bigger meetings.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

It was great experience for us to see how skilled UI/UX professionals are working, what are the initial tasks and to what they pay attention. Even if the many design patterns are same or similar on most websites, the knowledge of specific area in question is huge benefit for project success.

I am the product owner of TimeTonic, a french innovative nocode SaaS platform for management, collaboration and processes automations.

Timetonic's ambition is to take its place in the competitive market for no-code management tools and it was absolutely necessary to initiate a graphic as well as functional overhaul in order to achieve this objective. Then, we hired LeverageUX which was a great help to achieve this goal (Thanks Nina and Anastasia :))

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

After searching for a UX/UI, we found LeverageUX which was the most efficient company considering past projects, design skills and overall cost.

We hold a meeting every weeks and work based on agile method, splitting needs in sprints and indicating both Nina and Anastasia what we are looking for. They quickly understood our needs and were able to deliver mostly in time (some subjects are dense).

The whole process was divided in :

• creating a ticket for Nina to deal with
• when I can, I give them some insights and Nina comes back if more info is needed.
• after some iterations and direct comments on figma + calls, we end up with an exploitable design to give to the devs
• we repeat this every week

I was directly working with Anastasia as project manager and Nina as UX/UI.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

As TimeTonic is a project management tool, we used it to give instructions to LeverageUX. We discussed on Slack and commented on the design directly on figma. Throught the day, Nina resolved my feedback and we keep working like this until needed a call to explain it vocally. Anastasia is very prompt to require calls when it's needed.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

LeverageUX is very competent at UX/UI design but what was impressive is mostly their ability to discuss and find solutions for such a complex tool. Moreover, we worked in a rush (if you recall the keynote I talked about before). They are very accessible and want their job to be well done !

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Use TimeTonic (or any other project management tool) more in order to be able to track advances.

I’m the head of delivery at a digital marketing provider, and we help our clients optimize their websites and create the best conversion and optimization results. We run SEO, PPC, and digital marketing campaigns.

We needed help with a UX redesign project for our client’s microsite. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We sent LeverageUX an initial brief, which led to a follow-up call with their project manager. They detailed the requirements and clarified every single item in our brief. We discussed our approach, and they suggested other strategies. 

It was quite challenging since we thought we already had an incredibly tight project specification. However, through that process, we actually made a couple of refinements — their team identified alternative thinking and ways of going about the project. 

LeverageUX then put together a pricing document and timescales based on the revised brief. We agreed, and they moved into the delivery stage. 

LeverageUX set up a project management system using Slack and broke the project into different milestones. From there, they delivered exactly what we wanted on time and within budget. We gave feedback, and they implemented some revisions.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

At this point, we can only provide anecdotal feedback. Our client only asked for wireframes since they have in-house developers and want to build the product by themselves.

LeverageUX has delivered everything that we wanted to an exceptional standard. There are not many external companies I’ve worked with where I feel such a level of confidence in what we’re doing. They know their stuff — they’ve scrutinized the brief from the beginning and delivered designs with the same level of thoroughness. It’s a really impressive project. 

How did LeverageUX Design Agency perform from a project management standpoint?

LeverageUx is good at project management; we’ve never encountered an issue. They are never late on tasks and didn’t ask for more money when we pushed for changes. Their delivery exceeded our expectations. 

They’re always available, and they clarify whenever they don’t understand something. There are a few hours of difference between our teams, but it has never affected our project. They’re responsive and always online. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

LeverageUX’s professionalism makes them stand out. They clearly understand UX and design for online frameworks. The site’s development is still ongoing, but I’m confident that LeverageUX’s help will increase conversions tenfold.

Our platform was not up-to-date and wasn’t user-friendly. As a result, we wanted to find a company that could rebuild or change everything we got, especially in producing a good UI.

What was the scope of their involvement?

LeverageUX Design Agency started by creating the architectural structure of our platform to know which sites we needed and how they were connected to each other. The second phase involved wireframing, where they produced low-quality designs of the platform’s pages. Then, for the third phase, they focused on finishing the design of our platform.

We mainly collaborated with two people, but during the third phase, we had two additional people who worked on our project.

Our CEO wanted to find a professional company that could support us, but we had a limited budget for our vision. In the end, we chose 3–4 companies we liked the most.

Moreover, they made a proposal on the timeline of our project as well as the budget we had to prepare. What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We didn’t completely integrate our platform yet, so we wouldn’t have any feedback from our users. However, we showed it to some users and they acknowledged that our new UI was better than our previous one — our new one was intuitive and user-friendly. On our side, we were impressed that they managed to produce what we wanted considering the complexity of our product.

How did LeverageUX Design Agency perform from a project management standpoint?

They had a good project management process, and they were responsive. We had 2–3 calls per week where we discussed two topics related to the project. Then they’d immediately work on the details that we gave them. We used Figma to see what they were working on, and we also gave our feedback there.

Their project management workflow impressed us the most. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

This wouldn’t be a criticism to them, but maybe our partnership could’ve gone better if we had more resources on our side.

We wanted to revamp the UI/UX of some web products with maps, graphs, calendars, and associated functionality.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We sourced a number of vendors and interviewed around 5 total. We chose Leverage through this process.

Our team ideated a number of product changes with the Leverage team, having them guide us through the best options for UI/UX standards. Some aspects of the project were customer facing, other parts were purely internal designs.

My team worked with a project lead and an additional designer, sometimes two.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We're pretty pleased with the outcomes of the project, and will likely work with Leverage again in the future. I'm not sure that any other feedback would be more valuable than the statement that we'd work with them again and plan to in the coming weeks/months.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow was relatively positive and easy-going for my team, although there were times when the language barrier or time zone caused issues. I think this is usually the case with any cross-functional and diverse team.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They were very willing to work and understand the true need we were getting at with the UI/UX issues - we did not come to the project with a traditional roadmap, and they were willing to grind through the process alongside us.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I think there could have been a more regular schedule to the process - sometimes we would meet multiple times a week, other times we'd go an entire week with no meeting. It was very much the nature of the work but we likely could have managed better from our side.

I’m the CTO of notata, an investment management firm. We are a CRM platform for early-stage investors and startups.

What challenge were you trying to address with LeverageUX Design Agency?

notata was originally created as an internal tool for a family office. We worked on it adding several functionalities without thinking about the UX aspect, so we ended up with several MVPs that had a lot of problems. We needed someone to redo the whole software in a more user-friendly way.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

LeverageUX Design Agency completely restructured and redesigned our software platform. We were involved throughout the entire process and built an information architecture diagram for them. The team created wireframes to improve existing functionalities and make the application more approachable for our users. When those wireframes were done after several iterations and testing phases, the staff designed the UI/UX.

What is the team composition?

We worked with a project manager, a UX designer, and a UI designer.

How did you come to work with LeverageUX Design Agency?

We looked at a lot of companies from all around the world and chose LeverageUX Design Agency because of their expertise in dashboards and financial platforms. The team had a very good track record and portfolio of those kinds of applications.

Their experience with the specific kind of software that we had been using to develop our platform is what interested us. They were much better than any of the other vendors, so it wasn’t a difficult choice.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

LeverageUX Design Agency met all the requirements that we set. The team was prompt, professional, and delivered high-quality results. I’m very happy with their services and the overall process. 

How did LeverageUX Design Agency perform from a project management standpoint?

We had quite frequent meetings with the team to lay out each task in a detailed way on a spreadsheet that explained how long each process would take. We also contributed with data, so that they could deliver the best possible results in a timely manner. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

The staff worked very well. They constantly asked us if they had any questions or if something was unclear.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t have anything for them to improve. I just wish we had done this process in parallel with the development of the software.

Be as prepared as possible. For instance, when we started working with the team, we didn’t have the information architecture set up in advance. I’d also advise listening to them — I was uncertain about some of the recommendations they made in the beginning, but they turned out to be very helpful.

They prepared wireframes on Figma and created a low-fidelity prototype of the platform. Once I reviewed them, we discussed the look and feel of the platform and they prepared the designs. Then they created high-fidelity designs for the platform.

What is the team composition?

I interacted with the CEO and negotiated the contract with the chief business development officer (CBDO). Other than that, I worked with two people on a daily basis.
