My website needed a makeover and I wanted to create a professional storefront

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I met Maria when she came in for her brow service and after she told me what she does I knew I had to hire her because I wanted to also support another minority and woman-owned business

For our initial meeting we met and she got to know my business and the current flow. Maria had already done her research and she gave me ideas to revamp my business with a new website and email marketing.

She discussed a plan to develop this new website and we had weekly meetings to go over the process and to get my input. She gave me choices between websites, functions and flows of the website and aesthetics. It was exciting to what Maria and her team had developed each week.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

After launching I have received positive feedback with the user friendly flow and the aesthetics. I have just launched, so there is no feedback about an increase of visits or services. I did have some times where I had to repeat services because the copyrighter did not make the changes I had imputed in google docs.

I would recommend checking their work before the client is directed to read the updated copy services. I loved working with Maria overall and she was always patient, kind and encouraging. She was always professional and made sure to get right to the point which was nice because I am so busy.

She has a lot of knowledge and great ideas that I never would have thought of. I am very pleased with the results.

We had weekly meetings to discuss updates to the website

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Maria is very knowledgeable and she explained to me all of the new features possible for an improved work flow and gave a marketing strategy to bring in more clients and sell more products.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Some feedback about my experience would be to get familiar with the beauty service industry work flow, so that the development of the website also includes the scheduling system. I didn’t expect to put as much time as I did developing the scheduler and it became stressful because I already am working in services and don’t have the time.

I would include the details scheduler development in the proposal.

I was the Senior ECommerce/Digital Marketing Associate at French Connection’s US office in NYC. French Connection is a global retailer based in London who offers clothing for women, men and kids. I managed digital marketing channels and on-site optimizations. French Connection hired Leapify to help guide international growth and high level directive for both channel management and eCom functions. She also played a crucial leadership role in my personal career development in the space.

First, we went through a discovery page where Maria went through recent reports, reviewed campaign planning/execution and brand materials. Then, she took over high level reporting and strategic plans with C-suite leaders. She transitioned into a team leader, providing day to day guidance within our teams workflow by prioritizing tasks/projects and helping ideas form into full fledged strategies.

They could have done more long term strategy work if not for the restricted budget we had to hire Leapify.
