I’m the owner of The Pin Shoot, an annual sporting competition event that we host.

What challenge were you trying to address with Launch Kit?

We had an outdated website that didn’t really represent our competition in a professional way, so we hired Launch Kit to update our website to improve the event’s image.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The scope of the work was to revamp the sequence and flow of the website to inform our consumers in a fun and engaging way. The scope then expanded to having their team come to the event for two days to take photos and video footage. After the project was completed, they delivered a 5-minute video recap of the event, which we then published on the website.

We worked with Kevin (Founder) and a photographer.

How did you come to work with Launch Kit?

I worked with them on a previous project, and I first met Kevin through a mutual acquaintance. He did a phenomenal job and when it came time to revamp this website, it was a no-brainer to hire him.

We invested about $1,600 USD.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from November 2020–July 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I put out an email to our membership once the site was launched and received numerous responses from our customers. They described how fantastic the site was and how it was a huge improvement from the previous one.

How did Launch Kit perform from a project management standpoint?

They were outstanding from a project management standpoint. They were always available, made every meeting, and were very responsive in terms of returning phone calls and emails.

What did you find most impressive about them?

One characteristic I found impressive was the culture of the people and the company. Their personalities made them such a delight to work with, as they were positive and easygoing.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything that they could improve on because they went above and beyond the initial scope and exceeded my expectations.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I would suggest having a clearly defined scope of work and being prepared to be exposed to cutting-edge techniques and creative ideas.

We specialize in reinsurance management and the formation of reinsurance companies. We have a line of finance and insurance (F&I) products that deal with the used and new car markets, too. I’m an account executive, but I also help with the business development side in creating an image for our company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Launch Kit?

We had a very outdated website that was built around 13 years ago and it wasn’t keeping up with our needs. We wanted to have a platform that could be relevant to our business. As a result, we partnered with Launch Kit to help us rebrand ourselves on the web.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Launch Kit completely revamped our website on Webflow. Since our industry was very technical and specific, the team didn’t do a lot of research because we would often get together. They always provided us with the list of things they wanted, and we provided them with our content. They went through all of the information that we’d given them, and they worked to put our information in the correct places.

We also had multiple meetings where we discussed all the different things about our business. On top of that, the team redesigned our logo and created our new color palette. They provided us with the headshots of all of our employees and produced many brochure designs, too. After completing our website, they revamped another website for us, which was for a different company. They continue to manage both of our websites.

We primarily communicate with Kevin (Founder), but he has other people who support him.

How did you come to work with Launch Kit?

Creating a new website would usually be very expensive and have high upfront costs. However, I wasn’t interested in doing that. Since Launch Kit had a subscription-based model or a pay-a-monthly-fee scheme, I got interested to work with them. 

I also saw one of the websites they designed and I liked its aesthetics and feel as compared to other web design companies whose work seemed to be very standard. Overall, I chose Launch Kit because they had a unique and creative approach to their work.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent $1,500.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in February 2021, and we continue to collaborate.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’ve never had a lot of phone calls on our website because our industry usually relies on word-of-mouth referrals. People don’t just Google and look for our services. However, as soon as Launch Kit has completed our website, we’ve been getting an increased number of phone calls. Furthermore, they know what we want, and they produce outputs that are in line with our expectations. 

How did Launch Kit perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re always clear with me, so that makes it easy to get our projects going because I don’t have a million questions every day. We do all of our communication on monday.com, and we check off tasks there. Using that platform has made it very simple to know what Launch Kit needs from us.

In fact, we don’t need to take notes during meetings because they provide that information through monday.com. Every two weeks or so, we meet in person, depending on our progress. We also keep in touch through email, text, and phone calls. On top of that, if we need to clarify anything, they’re always available.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’ve been impressed with their subscription-based model. Though I haven’t scoured the internet for every single web developer, I haven’t seen a ton of people offering that model. Additionally, their price point is affordable, especially for companies or individuals who are just starting their businesses.

More importantly, they have impressive design skills — they ensure that everything looks cohesive. Thanks to them, our letterhead matches our website.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I’m not a technology expert, so from that standpoint, everything has been great. They move as quickly as we move, and we haven’t experienced any downtimes with them. As a result, I don’t see anything they could improve.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

If you’re interested to work with Launch Kit, follow the processes that they have. Be very specific when it comes to how you want your project to look or feel. You can also come to them with just a business idea and they will create a framework for your project — that’s what makes them very valuable.

What challenge were you trying to address with Launch Kit?

We engaged Launch Kit to help us with web design.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We worked with Launch Kit on a couple of projects, the biggest of which was website design. Our original website was dated and had some good content on it, but the pictures just didn’t do justice for the message we were trying to convey. As a result, Launch Kit supported us in building our content.

We shared our desired content with the team and the baseline principles of what we were doing. We then allowed their team to go ahead and clean up our language, create our presentation, and give us a nice clean look on the website. They were also instrumental in picking the pictures that made our website stand out.

How did you come to work with Launch Kit?

I heard about Launch Kit through our CEO, and he was the one who hired them. However, I wasn’t familiar with the details on how he found them.

We worked together from June–September 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

I’d recommend Launch Kit to anybody who’d like to update their website and who’d like to hire their team for other services. I couldn’t say enough good things about them. Internally, everybody recognized all of the differences in our website.

Additionally, a former colleague remarked how much nicer our platform looked. We were also able to send our customers to our website to look at our recent projects and review the work that we completed.

How did Launch Kit perform from a project management standpoint?

They handled the project management side well. On top of that, they were very receptive to information and critique when needed, which enabled them to make changes pretty quickly.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We had a pretty aggressive timeline, but they did everything they could to keep us on track. Since our internal team was also focused on other things, we weren’t always timely with getting our information to them. Instead of finger-pointing, Launch Kit backed up us whenever they could.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Launch Kit was a fairly new company, so they didn’t have a lot of information in their repertoire. However, if they’d create more websites, that would serve them well to ensure that they’d have good examples of what they did and help them bring more variety to the table when they first start a project. I wouldn’t say it was a fair critique, but that was the only thing that could’ve been improved.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Launch Kit is so easy to work with. The only thing you need to ensure is that you have enough information because they’re going to need a direction to know how to build your website. Since they’re not familiar with your company, you need to walk them through your identity. Overall, you need to come to the table with a clear understanding and message of what you want to send to your audience.
