They communicated and performed well from a project management perspective, and they were very reliable and helpful throughout the partnership.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They were the only provider we’ve ever worked with for digital marketing, so I can’t really compare them to anyone. However, all I can say is that we were very happy with their services.

We worked on our own project, called "Traceless Box" and Lasting Trend helped us with everything customer-related, including website optimization, keyword selection, google marketing campaign, market research and analysis, linkedin research.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I wanted to work with the local NYC based company, so this was an important factor for me. I saw Lasting Trends on google before and one of our clients suggested them as well, so I decided to give it a try.

While we developed a website they made a research and gave us suggestions on how to organize landing page to catch visitors attention. Then they gave us some tips on the website structure and wrote some articles for us to achieve a better ranking. They communicated with our potential clients and worked as a filter, passing only serious inquiries to us, so we could concentrate on the technical side. They did a very big job doing LinkedIn surveys, they had more than 300 zoom interviews with people, which helped us to define our niche. Based on that information they did google ads optimization and it worked well, they took care of everything.

We had 3 people that performed different jobs, but most of the information came from a single POC. There was one market research analyst, one SEO and website analyst, and a writer who wrote articles, found rare keywords, etc.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Our goal was to to define our development and market strategy and we did well, thanks to the Lasting Trend. Being able to outsource commercial research and client outreach part is great, because we could just concentrate on a product.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Everything was great, they provided oral consultations over the phone and zoom, as well as written reports regularly and on-demand.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I really liked their focus, seems like they dedicate their time to study the problem and learn as much as they can. They had really good suggestions not just about the website and promotion, but about the product too. They helped us to understand how to make our work appealing to the end customer.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

If they could lower their prices by 15-20% it would be great, but I am not sure if it's possible. The fact that the company is in NYC and I can meet them in person is pretty important to me, because I am working with a physical product and I needed their opinion on it. So for a New York company the pricing is probably acceptable.

I was trying to understand how I could get more leads through social media and my website. I started using TaskRabbit, where I could enter my availability, experience, and the tasks I wanted to perform. 

I created my own website after I saw some success, and I grew the business organically. I’m a handyman, so I’m far from social media marketing, so I hired Lasting Trend for support.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Lasting Trend consulted me on my SEO and marketing strategy. An example of this is in terms of what contact information and reviews to put on my website. They advised me that the less I asked for from clients, the more leads I’d get. So, I removed the email field, and I only have a name and a phone number now. Based on their recommendation, I also changed the submission button with something more action-based like “let’s do it!”. 

For social media, they advised me on what works best. For example, I’ve started testing Facebook Ads and seeing what kinds of keywords I need to use to reach my target demographic. Based on their insight, I’ve also tried running a Yelp campaign but it was too expensive. I have a Google page and Google Analytics on my website now, too.

I’m still working through TaskRabbit, and I’m just getting a few clients through the internet. It was an easy-going project, and I enjoyed doing it. The price was okay, and they were on time. I’m still trying to grow my business organically, and I enjoyed learning about marketing.

They were on time with communication, and everything went fine. We communicated through WhatsApp, and we met face to face.

Their principal knew about the handymen business, so I was on the same page with him. He wasn’t only an expert about marketing and SEO. He also helped me understand platforms like Thumbtack.

The Lasting Trend team is full of problem-solvers. The owner never freaks out when faced with a challenge. He tackles it head-on and finds solutions. I also like that we work on a month-to-month basis and not on a contract.

Beyond just the website, we measure the success in the number of leads we get from the website. On average, we get at least ten calls or emails each day, which is a big improvement over the number of inquiries we had before they built the website.

If we need them, we can email or call them. They respond quickly, and they visit us once a month for an in-person meeting. We also have a regular monthly phone conference. They met all the requirements within their initial development proposal, and they send a six-month plan for the support agreement we have. They've never missed a deadline.

We've worked on projects with other companies, but none of them generated the leads that Lasting Trend provided.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Lasting Trend helped us develop and optimize our website. Initially, we discussed what we could do to get more clients; they mentioned Facebook ads, Instagram ads, TikTok, and other things related to getting customers online. After the initial conversation, we decided to have the website and Google be local because repair shops must be close to the customers.

They created a WordPress website from scratch and handled the content creation for the platform. Their team also interviewed us to know the kind of devices we fix and our repairs on them. Based on that interview, they created a strategy and came up with a list of repairs to promote. After approving the list, they started to develop the content to be posted on the website — they had to do extensive research for the platform.

In terms of features, we asked for a homepage, contact us page, list of repairs, and a price list. They advised us against that, went through all the keywords, and combined them into the lists. We also asked them to integrate the updates on client tickets to the website; it integrates our internal systems, which we use inside the store and the website.

At the first step, we created an outline of all the pages and the website's structure. They later built a black and white sketch of the website that illustrated where the buttons would be placed. After the sketch approval and a couple of changes, they designed the site. 

For the SEO, we gave them a list of repairs that we provide, and based on the list, they conducted research and gave us a big list of keywords.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We have analytics where we see all the visits and calls to our business — our online traffic has increased, and we have got more customers asking for our services. We are getting about four to five clients who say they found us on Google every week.

How did Lasting Trend perform from a project management standpoint?

They were terrific as they delivered a high-quality website within the agreed timeline. In terms of communication, we met in person in my office, had Zoom calls to approve the designs, and used email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Over the initial conversation, they sounded like they knew what they were talking about. They also explained everything clearly so we could understand because we had never built a website before — if I didn't understand something, they always went a step back to explain what they meant.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They should reduce the price a little bit for the small business.

Any advice for potential customers?

Always ask questions on what you haven't understood; they'll answer everything and provide a couple of options for you to choose from. Also, if you want to change anything on the project, always communicate with them.
